2023 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try-On Haul, Pt. 2
It is time for Pt.2 of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try On Haul! If you missed my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try-On Haul, Pt. 1 post, be sure to check it out also. I don’t have a Nordstrom near me, so I never get to take advantage of some benefits of being a Nordy member. One of those benefits is having a stylist who will pull the clothing for you and have it waiting in a dressing room. Wow!!! Talk about saving a ton of time. I shopped the Nordstrom at the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, and Liz was my stylist. Be sure to ask for her if you are in the area; you’ll love her!
For Sizing Reference, I’m 5’6″ tall, and I usually wear between an 8-10 in jeans, a medium or a large in tops, and a size 12 in dresses.
I wanted to start this post with my favorite outfit. I love everything about this look! The leopard print top is the same one that I wore in yesterday’s post with the ivory leather jacket. It looks fabulous with the chocolate faux suede jacket and dresses up the entire outfit. I’ve become a huge fan of Mother jeans, except for the price. I take advantage of these sales to get the jeans at a discount. These jeans run small, so I sized up one size.
I kept on the faux suede jacket and switched the top for a cashmere sweater. Cashmere is another item that I buy when I catch it on sale. I prefer a v-neck option, but since it isn’t on sale, I purchased the sweater in crewneck instead. Here is another pair of Mother jeans; I told you I was a fan!
The first two outfits came home with me with the exception of the block heel pumps. I already have a pair of Marc Fisher pumps that look almost identical, so I left those in the store. The only thing that came home with me from this outfit is the short sleeve sweater. It was so soft, and felt so good against my skin that I couldn’t resist.
If you are in need of a professional outfit, this one is gorgeous. I LOVE this skirt, and it came home with me. It is such a versatile and classic silhouette that I know I’ll get a lot of wear from it. I like the first leopard print top the best, so I left this one in the store.
I added this fun, furry, and extremely soft faux shearling coat to the look. This was one of those items I kept trying to talk myself out of buying, but it ended up coming home with me. It looked so cute that one of the ladies that was shopping with me ended up buying the coat too. Lol!
Here is that versatile, soft sweater that I talked about earlier. It looked great with these checked straight-leg trousers.
I ended up purchasing the long black cardigan, but the rest of this outfit didn’t make the cut. The color was not great for me, and the skirt was too big.
Here is a better look at the outfit without the cardigan. I liked the cowl neck top’s design and the fact that it could be easily layered. But, I really didn’t have a need for the top. It also comes in black or ivory if the bright camel color isn’t for you either.
Did you guess that this outfit came home with me? You might notice that I’m purchasing more and more casual clothing. My lifestyle has changed, and I don’t dress up as often as I used to. Jeans and a nice top are how I usually dress, and this outfit suits me perfectly. The top is very soft and silky, and can be easily dressed up or down.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! If you are like me, you always have a need for a black dress. This dress is one that can be worn for any occasion, and I love the button-up design.
I wanted to show you how the dress would look with a long cardigan, so I added the almond-colored Barefoot Dreams one. Barefoot Dreams has become a brand that I purchase from the Nordstrom Sale, and I’ve even made my mom a fan.
I already own this Barefoot Dreams Lounge set, and I live in it in the winter. This color has sold out, but there are two other options still available. If you’ve never tried Barefoot Dreams, you will be amazed at how soft and comfy their clothing is.
The last outfit of the day is an elevated casual look. The mock neck sweater came home with me, but the blazer and the trousers stayed at the store. I already have a similar blazer, and the trousers didn’t fit me correctly. The trousers run very small, and I kept having to change sizes. The size 10 was too small, and the size 12 was too big through the waist. These are an investment pair of pants, and I wouldn’t buy them if they didn’t fit perfectly.

Oh & im a middle sis of 2 sisters, the 3 of us are as close as we can be. Driving distance is 15hrs., they are in Minnesota I just flew to see them for the 4th holiday. Had a great time.
Beautiful Nordstrom clothing, classics!
Tania:
Funny – I liked the same things you liked and disliked the ones you did as well. All the favorites are sold out. And I struggle with being a petite – they don’t offer much that I like.
For a laugh: Yesterday my 9 year old granddaughter was asking me about things from my youth and said “What was _____ like back when you were alive?” Still laughing over that one!
I was the oldest of 6 children: 4 boys and 2 girls. Some of us are close, some are more on the reclusive side.
I love the ivory faux shearling coat! 💕😍 I have two older sisters and a younger brother. My brother and I are the closest in age, so we tend to harass each other more than we do our older sisters.
I would have passed right by those window pane wide pants and am so glad you tried them on for me! They are adorable. It’s so useful to see how things look on you. I also put the black midi skirt in my cart…
That black coat dress!!!! Looks great. I love it & it’s in my wishlist in case they restock.
Middle of 5 sibs. Unfortunately we are not close 🙁
I enjoy reading your posts. You’re great at putting outfits together. You look good in jeans as well as a dress. My mom had 9 kids. 6 girls and 3 boys. I was number 8. I have wonderful childhood memories. We talk on zoom every other week. We tease each other too. Thank you for all the work you do on your blog.
Love the black dress… so perfect for you!
I have 2 younger siblings, a sister and a brother. I’m 4 years older than my sister and 6 years older than my brother. You can definitely say I tortured them when we were kids. Buhahaha!! Fortunately we are close as adults, although we live hundreds of miles from each other. I met my husband when we were 16 and he took over as the teaser to my siblings. he would short sheet my sister’s bed and made lots of dry, humorous comments over the years. It took my family a long time to get used to that type of humor levied at them. 🤣
Gurl, I have six brothers and two sisters, so I know a little bit about sibling rivalry! My brothers “taught” me to swim by throwing me in the deep end of the pool and telling me to kick my legs really fast, LOL! I’m number 8 of the 9 and we’re close now but I have some stories to tell. Love your blog and wish you a great day.
