How To Style Over The Knee Boots
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I have made the trip to Tennessee to my parents house. It was monsoon type weather the whole trip. It POURED the rain. I can not stress how hard it rained. It was terrible, terrible, driving weather. I am glad my husband did the driving, it was stressful. Just as we got off the Interstate, the skies turned blue. I took that as a welcoming sign.
One more stressful part of my traveling is my Yorkie, Beckley. Mom and Dad have recently adopted two dogs. One dog is part jack russell, and the other is yorkie. Introducing new dogs is a pain. We have been here about 2 hours and they have all finally started ignoring each other.
I decided to wear my sequin deer shirt one more time, since I won’t wear it after Christmas. There is no reason I couldn’t wear it, I am just strange. I threw on this vest, that is Ralph Lauren, and I have had it for years.
I didn’t wear a necklace, but I did put on my renegade bracelet from Stella & Dot. I know you are sick of seeing me wear it, but it is new and I am still enamored.
The leopard cuff is one that I picked up from the vintage fashion show in Atlanta. It is such a nice piece, and we all know leopard is a neutral. Lol!
Look what I got for Christmas! The over the knee boots from Tommy Hilfiger that I wanted. Not to blow my own horn but I have been a very good girl this year. I turned down the cuff of the boot and I liked the stripe down the center.
But, I wore them the traditional way, with the boot fully extended. This are really nice, and the leather is that perfect carmel color. I am still carrying the Dooney & Bourke purse, and it is the only one I packed for the weekend. You’ll be seeing it again.
I was afraid I would not like these boots. I didn’t know how the over the knee look would go over at work. They are used to me wearing different looks, and no one said a thing. I’m not sure that is a good thing, you know that whole saying about not being able to say something nice. Hahaha
Well, I am off to visit with the family. But, before I go, I want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart. Each one of you has plenty of other things you could be doing, I am just grateful that you stopped by to visit with me.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

You must have been a very good gurl! Fabulous boots…
I’ve recently added OTK boots to my shopping list. I had thought that the look might not be ageless enough but I have since changed my mind after seeing you and other bloggers sporting the look. Thank you for the inspirations.
Rena, I feel like you have to try new things. Some work, and some crash and burn.????
Nice boots, I have’t found any OTK boots that work for me yet, but keep looking
I love the reindeer shirt and the OTK boots. The shirt was very popular this holiday season and I bought my first pair of OTK boots from Target this fall! Love them!
So love the outfit and how you folded your boots!!
I like that reindeer! I went out to shop at 7AM be cause my grandkids need winter jackets. I saw some boots that had a black & red plaid upper. So cute but $175 and I know they weren’t very practical for me. It was so peaceful at all the malls. I really enjoyed shopping and did find wonderful jackets for the grandkids at very good sale prices. Of course I picked up a couple things at Talbots. I’m surprised you haven’t gone shopping Tania. I need to find some girlfriends who like to shop here where I live. Love sale shopping! I love the color of those boots!
After Christmas I usually go on a financial diet for about three months. I try to hold off buying anything till Spring comes around. However, with this weather, today is supposed to be 74, I might as well start shopping for Spring now. Hahah????
I don’t know why I don’t have any over the knee boots! But I got some gift cards for Christmas so maybe I’ll get a pair! Enjoy your time at your parents. I agree with the other comment in that neutrals look good on you. 🙂
Hi Tania! Love your new boots! Santa was good to you! I got a snappy pair of red rain boots myself (they will sure come in handy here in SC now. Ha!). Neutrals look very nice on you. Our coloring is similar, and I’m really using your blog often for inspiration. Leopard print is now my new thing (trying to not go overboard. Ha!) — Betty????????????????
I got a pair of red rain boots also, Betty. Hahaha????
Love the boots!! You look great.
Love the boots. I have yet to buy an over the knee pair because I’m afraid they would feel “weird” on since I only wear below the knee boots. But, I guess it’s time for me to give it a whirl!
I was afraid of that also, Terri. This are not THAT high, so it was less of a change than I had thought. There is also thigh high boots, I don’t think I’ll go there.
