Accessories Make An Outfit

DSC_0021_2We are having a good time in Orlando so far. Come to find out, there are two major premium outlet malls within 20 minutes. While the boys play golf, Sandy and I will be shopping every day. I was pretty good today and only bought a couple things. Accessories were the items I had on my agenda.DSC_0020This scarf it what makes this outfit! We are going out to dinner and I want to wear a sweater because restaurants are always cold. I hate going out to eat and feeling like I need to take a parka in order to keep from freezing. I don’t know if they keep it cold because the kitchen is hot, or if they want you to only stay a small amount of time so they can get a new customer in your place. Either way I don’t like it. DSC_0018_2So, I put on this navy sweater from Cato’s and a pair of capri’s that are by Attyre. If you stop there, you have a nice outfit that is classic or preppy. However, by adding the pop-of-color coral shoes and the scarf, you can take the outfit to another level. Here is a navy cashmere sweater that is really affordable.DSC_0021The scarf was from Loft, and I bought it today. I think it is an easy way to change the look of an outfit, and at a relatively small price. If you can’t go out and buy a whole new outfit, then go buy an accessory. A necklace, scarf, purse, or a new pair of shoes will make you feel fabulous. Since I bought my scarf at an outlet store, it is not on the Loft website. But, here is one that would be great to change the look of an outfit.DSC_0022_3We are headed to Texas De Brazil for dinner. Joe and I are not eating red meat, (chicken and a little fish is all) so this should be interesting. If you have never eaten at a restaurant like this, they come around your table with huge chunks of meat, and ask if you want some. They will keep coming by as long as you have a green coaster at your spot. When you get tired of them coming by, you flip the coaster to a red side. Thankfully, they have a GREAT salad bar with all kinds of items to choose from. I think my financial diet is not the only diet that is going to suffer on this trip.

Be sure to check my blog on Monday, I will be linking up with Mrs. American Made for a East Coast meets West Coast post. Ana is from the west coast, brunette, petite, and wears only products that are american made. This should give your gurls a different perspective.

ALSO, I will announce my 5 month giveaway item. I think you will like it!!!

  1. I just found your feed and i love it! I love every single outfit i have seen on you so far.

  2. Tania, I really love that you make great use of bright colors. I am 68, with silver hair, and I find that the bright, “winter” colors look best on me. With grey or silver hair it is far too easy to look washed out with drab colors. At the senior center I seem to be almost alone in my use of color, and it’s a crying shame that so many seniors feel that they must limit themselves to muted colors and neutrals. I like so many of your outfits that I have pinned many of them to my styles board at Pinterest.

I just returned from my own vacation in the Caribbean and I’m behind on all your blogs. It’s snowing in PA and freezing so I’m curled up on the sofa going through all your posts. Before I left I went back through your archives and happened to find one you wrote about posing for pictures. Loved it. Followed your advice and for the first time in forever I finally like the way I appear in pictures. The scarf you are wearing is lovely, by the way.

  5. First thing I thought of when I saw this outfit was, that’d be a great outfit for the 4th of July.

  6. Scarves are wonderful and can make an outfit so much more fun and colorful. I love the outfit! It’s perfect for a Florida evening out.

  7. I’m getting ready to go to Forida in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to hit the outlet malls. The guys are also golfing. Hope we have enough time. Glad to see what you’re wearing I was wondering what to take!
