A CASUAL WEEKEND OUTFIT THAT LOOKS SUPER CUTE AND COMFY

Guess what today is??? It is YOU DON’T HAVE TO SET THE ALARM day! Lol! I don’t set the alarm anyway, but there is something wonderful about knowing that the next day is Saturday. Don’t start looking to see if Monday is a holiday since my sweatshirt says LONG WEEKEND. Since the time springs forward this weekend, it is just going to seem long to a lot of us who are going to miss that extra hour of sleep.

My weekend style is almost always casual looking and as comfy as possible. Unless I am going shopping, I am probably not going to leave my house. So, I want my weekend out to be cute, comfy, and stylish. Just because “people” aren’t going to be seeing me doesn’t mean that Joe doesn’t see me. And, since he is the one that I want to look extra nice for, why should I sit around in a grungy outfit? If you don’t have a “Joe” in your life, then look good for yourself! When you look good, you feel good!!! Clothes are for more than just covering your body; they are a version of self-care.

I love it when time springs forward, but my mother was telling me that she dreaded it. She says that days seem to last forever since it doesn’t get dark until later. I was like, “I know!!! Isn’t that wonderful?”

I couldn’t resist this navy and white sweatshirt; talk about cute and comfy! The Long Weekend text is embroidered, and I love embroidered items so much more than vinyl. Embroidered items look more expensive, and they last longer than vinyl lettering, which can crack and peel.

This Long Weekend sweatshirt is the perfect addition to any weekend outfit, and it has a relaxed fit that hits me at the hips. I want my weekend outfit to be relaxed and even oversized, but not sloppy looking. A sweatshirt is cozy and comfy, but they are not always super cute. So, when I find one that is super cute, I grab it since they are few and far between. Here is a sweater/sweatshirt that I’ve worn in the past that is a great example of being stylish as well as cute and comfy.

I wore these same jeans on Monday, well, sorta. Actually, they are different jeans, but they are the same style. On Monday’s post, I mentioned that I loved the white cropped flare jeans, but they were too tight in the belly region. Shocking, I know! I had ordered my usual size 30 in the jeans, so I ordered in size 31 to see which pair I wanted to keep. The size 31 jeans are the winner!!! Now that I am wearing the larger size, I am back to the comfy feeling that jeans are supposed to deliver. The other pair would have felt like they were cutting me in to, and I would have been unbuttoning them when I sat down so that I could breathe. Lol!

I like the length of this pair of jeans since they look great with flats, sneakers, and heels. This pair of jeans will be on rotation all spring and summer for me, so get used to seeing me wear them. But, do yourself a favor, and order one size larger than normal. Here are a couple of other crops for you, just if your size is sold out in this pair.

I have loved these Sperry sneakers so much since I bought them last year. The slip-on ease from the no-tie leather strings is something that I love. I have got to rewash these (I’ve washed them a couple of times before) since they have some smudges on the toe. I had to size down a half-size in these shoes, so I am wearing an 8 1/2 instead of my usual size 9.

Here is a side view, but it will still give you an idea of the length of the sweatshirt from the back. It isn’t long enough to cover your bum, so if you wanted to wear it with leggings, I would suggest adding a long camisole or a long button-up shirt under it.

I’m looking really hard, and I can see it. It is just over the horizon. Lol! I am looking for Saturday!!! Hahaha. I crack myself up. Lol!
