A LINEN TUNIC YOU CAN WEAR WITH LEGGINGS
Happy Monday everyone. It was a beautiful weekend here in Virginia with sunny skies and hot temperatures. If you read my blog post yesterday, then you know that I went down memory lane. I have always been amazed at why some memories stick with us, and then there are other things that we can’t recall at all. I can be talking to my sister, and she will say, “remember when ……… happened?” She has a vivid memory of the incident, and I can’t remember the event at all.
When you think about the years and years of events that have happened in your life, why did only a handful stay in our brain? I can recall one or two things about when I was around 5 or 6 years old. Maybe I have a couple more memories of my childhood and teens. I can understand how those memories might be faded since they happened so long ago, but even memories of most of my marriage and the kids growing up are kind of hazy now. After reading several articles on this subject, I’ve learned that we actually need to forget things that we have deemed “unimportant” so that later we will be able to recall all of the “important” memories. Sounds logical, but I wish that I had been consulted about which memories my brain labeled important and which ones were trashed. It needs to be like a computer and say, “are you sure you want to delete this?” Lol!
Every time I look at this top, I start singing “under the sea” from The Little Mermaid. I love the gorgeous turquoise coral print on this linen button-down tunic. This blouse is made with No-iron fabric which gives you an always-pristine wrinkle-free look. The longer tunic length is perfect for those of us who don’t like to show our midsection, or our rears, especially when wearing leggings. Linen is perfect for the summer months because it is breathable and it helps to keep us cool. This top is thin, but it isn’t sheer. I have on a microfiber tank top under the shirt in these photos. I was wearing the tank in another set of photos, and I forgot and left it on. The top is not too sheer for me, but if you have items where you want more coverage, then a tank like this is the perfect solution. I am wearing a size 1 in the linen tunic, and a size 2 in the tank.
You might remember seeing me wearing this necklace and bracelet before. I wore this set with black and white (here), to give that look a pop of color. With today’s look, I was “matching” the colors, instead of contrasting the colors. You gurls loved the necklace so much that it has already sold out, and the bracelet set is low in stock. I understand why you liked this necklace so much. Turquoise is perfect for summer, but it is equally as cute in the fall of the year. I’ll link some other necklaces below for you to choose from. Also, my AVI large statement hoop earrings in silver are a pair that you’ve seen me wear all year long. I love these earrings, and I have definitely gotten my monies worth with them.
I wanted to give you a back/side view of the tunic so that you could get an idea of how much coverage you could expect from this tunic. As you can see, I am completely covered, and wearing leggings would be acceptable with this top.
Let me be the first to say that I was shocked at how much I liked these shorts. I am not usually a long short/Bermuda short type, so when I ordered these, I fully expected to hate them and send them back immediately. That didn’t happen! Instead, I just ordered these same shorts in Navy and Black. Lol! These shorts have a 13″ inseam, so they will be perfect for you ladies who want extra length. They are a pull-on style with stretchy fabric that is powered by exclusive So Slimming® Hidden Fit technology that slims and smoothes at the tummy. I especially like the slim leg that keeps the shorts from looking too baggy. I am wearing a .5 in these shorts, which is my usual size for Chico’s. I wear a size 10 in other brands, but with Chico’s, I size down. The shorts come in Regular and Petite sizes, and they are available in four different colors.
I have loved these espadrille sandals for a couple of years. The neutral color of the espadrille lets these shoes go with almost everything. The bright white make these a go-to shoe for summer dresses, shorts, crops, etc. These shoes are an old pair, so they are no longer available. But, I did find some neutral espadrilles that I think would work for you.
A lot of you have been asking for photos of my hair from all sides. So, today, I decided to give you exactly what you’ve been asking for.
Other than my clothes, my hair is the thing most asked about. But, the next thing would be my lashes. I went from having none in 2016, to now have long beautiful lashes. I use a nightly lash serum before I go to bed, and it works while I sleep.
You can get these results too. You have a 60-day Money-back guarantee to get results, or you can get your money back. Here is the link to Lash Boost, but don’t order unless you email me first for a code for an extra 10% off first-time customers.

Hi , This is the first time that I’ve commented although I’ve followed your blog for awhile. Love all the outfits and your sunny disposition. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Kathy! I’m glad that you commented, and I hope it isn’t the last time. Lol!
As a long time hairdresser, I so appreciate you showing different angles of your hairstyle. When trying to describe something new to your stylist, a picture really is worth a thousand words. BTW, your whole look today is wonderful!
My kind of outfit! I love the forgiving linen fabric. It really hides my lumps & bumps. And the walking shorts are the perfect length for my tastes. ????????????????
Exactly! Who wants to show their lumps and bumps. LOL!
WoW, do you look good in this outfit! I love turquoise or coral for any time of year. I’m not into shorts but I love this beautiful little top. Pop a turquoise sweater and take it into fall. Really cute.
I love the pop of turquoise in this outfit also. It is perfect for summer!
Love the linen tunic -/ love the total look. I was checking out the shorts and went to the link. I have these shorts but not with a back pocket like yours in the pic. Is this a different style then shown on the main link?
Oh no! You’re right. Lol! I had to go back through and search for my order to see which pair that I bought. I assumed the Brigitte pair that I saw first was them. Mine is the No-Stain shorts. Crap, now I went and ordered the Brigitte ones. Lol! Here is the correct link:

That’s too funny. And I don’t know how I noticed that pocket but I did – lol. Thanks for the link. Appreciate it!
So pretty!!!
Thanks, Laurie
Great post about memories today! Looking fabulous as always…Jeremiah 29:11
LOVE that linen tunic blouse ! Could it be tied in front ?
Hmmmm, I didn’t try to tie it in front, but I’m sure that I could. The back would still be long though.
