A MOTO JACKET WITHOUT ALL THE WEIGHT
I should know by now to quit making plans. Remember yesterday when I mentioned that my daughter was on her way home and I couldn’t wait to see her? Well, it turns out, that I could wait for after all. She has come down with a head cold, and she said she was feeling tired because she didn’t get any sleep the night before. Plus, she is congested in her head, and she said that she was a little dizzy. DON’T drive when you are feeling dizzy.
I am beginning to think that my daughter is just trying to torment me. I don’t know why that would shock me since she has been doing that since she was a child. Lol! And, to try and drive me even crazier than I already am, she is talking about getting a stinking dog again. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, but she doesn’t have a clue where she is going to be living, working or anything else in a year. I tried pointing out that it was not fair to be yanking a dog around and that she needed to wait until she was settled and then we would talk about it. I swear you would think that she is Emersyn’s age instead of a woman in her early 30’s because you can not reason with her. After reading this, you ought to feel better about YOUR children. Hahaha! If you would like to adopt a headstrong, independent, totally unreasonable young lady, please let me know. Just asking for a friend. Lol!!!
I love the look of a moto jacket, but I have never been a fan of how stick and heavy the leather ones can be. My neck bothers me when I have something heavy on the back of it, and that includes a jacket or a coat. This moto jacket has a rugged look that I like, but it is a cotton-blend knit, so it is not near as heavy. It still has all of the style of a moto jacket including the asymmetrical zipper. I love that this is a hand wash and lay flat to dry item because I am not one to go to the dry cleaners (I don’t have one) very often. This jacket fits true to size, and I am wearing a size large.
The Promise necklace from Plunder Design jewelry features three strands of silver rods and disks on a black cord. This necklace takes all of the guesswork out of layering a necklace and makes it look effortless. I paired it with the Sam earrings which are no longer available because I was too lazy to look for my hammered silver earrings called Myra. Lol! The bracelet is not available either, so I don’t know why I even bothered to show you what I was wearing. Here are some styles that would work instead.

When I am purchasing a bag, I look for the weight of the bag. If it is too heavy, it will bother my shoulder when carrying it. I love cross pouches and if they are made of leather, that is a plus. I don’t like cheap purses or ones made of cloth or nylon.
Thanks for all the great looking ones you show us each day. Love your blog!!
Great bag! It would go with just about every outfit!
Mercer bag 🙂
There is nothing about this purse I don’t LOVE!
Love the snakeskin purse. It goes really well with your outfit.
I, too like large totes. My sister calls my purses “feed bags”! LOL!
I love this handbag. The whole look is great!!
The one thing in a purse that is a must for me is outside pockets….I can’t stand having to open a purse to get my keys or phone out..it is just so inconvenient and time consuming. Now mind you I have bought plenty without this feature and I tell myself that the other features it might have will compensate for the lack of an outside pocket….but these purses will always get regulated to my closet or spare bedroom and I end up not using them. It pains me to purge beautiful purses but I have to every so often because hubby gives me the evil eye if I am buying another one and there are 8 in my closet lol.
I have one I recently purchased that is being delivered on Monday that your daughter may like. It is by Ivy and Fig..and it is vegan…yep a vegan purse. Found the company on Instagram. I didn’t purchase the purse because of that particular reason ..I just liked the purse. My 91 year old mother has moved in with me. She has dementia. For safety reasons I carry her wallet with me now. So i have my wallet, her wallet, and all the normal stuff I carry ….all while trying to put her walker in and out of my vehicle! I needed a sturdy and slightly larger purse than what I had on hand.
I picked the Olivia too…just in a different color.
So glad I found your blog. As an added bonus for me I am totally in love with the mountains and try to get there as often as I can . We love Fancy Gap and the surrounding area. Hoping to convince Hubby to move there one day.
Love the Moto jacket. It looks light, but warm. That handbag goes perfect with the look. Beautiful bag!
I have had my eye on a few different pairs of grey jeans, but haven’t been able to find a pair I like, but I really like the look of these. I am sold! To Old Navy. As for the purse, I like the idea of the removable crossbody, and I would probably wear it in the Hobo style. I think I still like the “Bastet in Love” purse from yesterday’s post.
