A TRY ON HAUL FROM MY LATEST TRUNK CLUB
Joe and I have done it again…we have run off, and I am not sure that we are going back. LOL!!! We were supposed to have left the beach and go back home yesterday, but Joe wanted to stay until Sunday. He twisted my arm behind my back, so what was I supposed to do??? Okay, maybe he didn’t have to do too much twisting, Haha!
I usually pack extra clothing for just in case we stay a day or so more, but I didn’t pack near enough. So, once again, Joe is twisting my arm and making me go shopping this afternoon to buy a couple of more outfits. I mean, shoot, what’s a girl supposed to do? I checked out the nearest shopping, and there happens to be an outlet mall about five miles down the street that has a lot of stores to keep me busy. Well, I guess that I’ll be nice to Joe and try and make him happy by going shopping for four hours while he goes and plays golf. I better get votes for “wife of the year” for making this HUGE sacrifice. Hahahahahaha!
The one thing that I did bring with me was my latest shipment from the Trunk Club. But, because I had no idea what was in the box, I didn’t bring any clothing to actually “style” the pieces. I probably wouldn’t have put this combination together for a regular post, but I wanted to show you what was in the box before I had to send it back. I’ll end up sending most things back (I already have something similar), but I will end up keeping a few things.
This wool and cashmere cardigan by Halogen is perfect for layering, and for days when it isn’t so cold that you have to wear a heavy coat. I have several cardigans this length, and I love them because they also go great with a dress. The longer length is something that I like, and this one also comes in Petite sizes, so you don’t have to pass on this just because you are not taller. I am 5’6″ tall, just in case you were wondering. I am wearing a large, and it fits me fine if I want to wear it with heavier shirts, but with only the camisole, I could have worn a medium. BTW, this cardigan is 50% off, so take advantage of the sale if you need this.
This pale pink camisole is so pretty. I love the style of the camisole and the lace trim. But, I am not wild about the color on me, and I think that it washes me out. I would keep it in a heartbeat if the color were a little darker, or if I had a tan. This camisole is by Halogen also, and I am wearing a size large. It is plenty roomy, and it is the perfect size for me. The straps are adjustable, and it is machine washable. Here is the link.
Sorry for the less than desirable photo, but these pants were hard to photograph. Black is always hard to get a good picture, but the coating on these jeans added another level of difficulty. The jeans may not look too flattering on me, but in person, they looked much better. They are coated, which makes them sleek looking and stylish. They are also stretchy, which is why you see the layered look. I am wearing a size 10, and they fit me great. These give the look of leather pants, but without the added weight, heat, and cost. The pants are by Madewell, and here is the link.
These cheetah print booties are so stylish. They have managed to combine a western flare with an attitude! These boots are by Dolce Vita, and they feature genuine calf hair. The 2″ chunky heel is easy to walk in, and these are pretty comfortable. They sent me a size 8.5, and they were a tiny bit tight across the toe. I usually wear a 9, and I think that would have fit me perfectly, so I would say that these run true to size. If you are looking for style by the bucket loads, then these babies are for you. Here is the link.
Did anyone say poncho??? This 100% cashmere poncho is so soft, comfortable, casual, and elegant all at the same time. I can see wearing this with a pair of jeans and a white turtleneck. This poncho is by Halogen also, and it is also on sale. The color that I am wearing is medium gray heather, but it also comes in a camel color and black. Here is the link to this beautiful sweater.
I just had to show you another look at this sweater. Lol!
While I am showing you gray clothing, let’s give you a gander at this turtleneck. I love the color of this sweater that they call dark gray heather on the website. This sweater is also by Halogen, and it is also 100% cashmere. This is the perfect wear alone or layer sweater since it is lightweight. This seater does run large, and the one that I am wearing is too big on me. My daughter saw a photo of it and sent me a message, #mine. So I sent her a message and said, #sentback and that it was too big for both of us. Lol! I did really like the sweater, and how it gave off that luxe vibe even though it is an everyday look. I might re-order it in a smaller size, and it also comes in several colors. If you are interested, then here is the link.
How many of you have seen the Teddy Bear coats in stores? These incredibly soft coats are everywhere, and you can find them in all kinds of different colors and lengths. This coat is a fluffy faux fur (no teddy bears were harmed in the making of this garment), and it is very trendy right now. I like the cropped look of this jacket, and I can see wearing this with a t-shirt and jeans, or even these black coated pants that I am wearing. The pink camisole might not be my first choice of apparel to wear with the coat, but you work with what you have. Lol!
The jacket does run true to size, and I am wearing a large. It is roomy enough that I could add a sweater with the coat and still be comfortable. I am wearing the Sahara color, but this also comes in black and dark green. I like this coat, but I just bought one the other day, so I am not sure that I can justify having two teddy bear coats. Here is the link to this one, and here is the link to the one that I just bought.
If you are looking for a thick and heavyweight sweater, you are going to like this one. This black mock-neck sweater by Treasure & Bond is chunky, ribbed, and soft. It has a side split, so no tugging when you go to sit down, and it covers your tush, which is always a good thing. I am wearing a large, but I think that it is a little too big on me, so I would order a medium instead. This sweater is made to have a relaxed oversized look, but I would still get the medium for me. It is machine washable if that is as important to you as it is to me, and here is the link to the sweater.
I also received these boots in my trunk. They are also by Treasure & Bond, and they are a faux leather crocodile embossed pair of ankle boots. These boots have several features that I like, such as the double belt look, and the studs around the entire front half of the sole. I also like that the chunky heel is shorter at 1 3/4″ since I know a lot of you can’t wear higher heels. These run true to size, and I am wearing a size 9, which is my usual size. Here is the link to the boots.
I debated not showing you these pants since I didn’t like them. But, I decided to go ahead and show you the pants so that you understand that you will get items in your trunk that you don’t like. When I went online to say that I was returning these pants, I marked that the style was not something that I wanted. It might take your stylist a while to get your style down-pat, and you can request a new stylist if you can’t come to an understanding. If you like this cropped flare look, then message me, and I’ll give you all the details.
I also received some earrings in my trunk. The iconic Tory Burch earrings were in my trunk, along with the Kendra Scott earrings below.
The Sophee Drop earrings are 14K gold plated over brass, and they are 2 3/4″ long. I love the design of these earrings, and they are reasonably priced. I also have a code for you to use so that you can get 20% off your full-price purchased items, so be sure to use that. Here is the code for 20% off. This bracelet is going to be my next Kendra Scott purchase since it will match these earrings that I have already purchase.
If you enjoyed my Trunk Club try on haul, then you will probably like the try-on session that I did last week also. Here is the link to that post. If you want to sign up for your own Trunk Club, the sign up is free, and here is my link. There is a $25.00 stylist fee for each trunk, but if you purchase something from the trunk, then the fee is waived. This is your own personal shopper subscription.

I love that you’re doing Trunk Club again. Thank you! In the past I’ve picked up some truly beautiful & quality items that you’ve styled on your blog. They look better on you than on the N website because I can’t tell how they’ll fit me on their website. I suppose I could do trunk club but it’s so nice when you style it, try it on for us. Nordstrom is 3 miles from my house and it’s more fun to order what you style than for me to go over there and dig around. Call me lazy girl. Love this gray turtleneck. Glad you said the pants were coated Black jeans as I was pondering why the gray satin pants. LOL
I could see until you changed to new service then back. Now, like Justine, I can read but can’t see the photos. I thought it might be my computer but I’m not having trouble seeing photos on other blogs
I love grey sweaters. They are just great mixers. I’m thinking I’d keep that poncho if this was my trunk. I’m so Cautious these days because clothing that looks good can turn on you once it is washed. Brand new sweaters are getting that pill look. And armholes are definitely getting smaller.
I had to wait a few seconds longer for site to load but no big problem there. Have fun! I love to golf so I get Joe. It is an obsession. Like shopping. I suffer from both. LOL
What a naughty #wonderfulhusband Joe is! Enjoy your time at the beach and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
No troubles here. Have fun at the beach and Merry Christmas!
Stacey, I am glad to hear that everything is going good for you.
When will the “bugs” be fixed? I am still having a terrible time downloading your content! I have unsubscribed and started I over, that helped some, but still unable to see most pictures, help?
Justine, I haven’t heard of anyone else having any issues.
Ha ha ha, oh yes Joe is a awful man. How can he do that to you? I want to know if you succeeded in your forced shopping afternoon.
Nancy, I can’t believe some of the horrible things that Joe forces me to do. LOL!
