Happy Hump Day from Day Mountain in Tennessee. I made the trek for the 2nd time in less than a week to Tennessee. This time I am at least staying longer than 1 hour before I turn around and head back to the house. Lol! Unfortunately, I don’t get to stay too much longer since I have to get back home to do end of year at the lumber company. This will be the first time that we have done the end of the year since we got a new computer system so this could be interesting. As of this writing, I don’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve however, that could change at any time. I think Joe’s sister’s family is coming to the house so we might actually do something. I can’t wait to see Pryce, my nephew, and get the “low-down” on his trip to New York. Pryce has recently signed with a modeling agency, the same one who signed Naomi Campbell, and he went to New York a couple weeks ago for his first photo shoot. Talk about exciting!!! I am going to be all ears. I told him that I plan on coming to his first runway show. Cross your fingers that it is actually in the US and not overseas. Lol! I’ll make him take some pictures with me when he comes to the house. Maybe he can give me some posing pointers. Can you imagine being 16 years old and being signed as a New York model??? Because I knew that I would be traveling and taking pictures is really really challenging, I decided to do a Trunk Club series. Trunk Club is a subscription service by Nordstrom that I am loving. It cost $25.00 for the service but you get that amount off your first purchase. When you sign up you can pick the amount you want to spend so you don’t have to be worried about getting $300.00 shirts if that is not what you can afford. You also tell them how often you want to receive the shipment, I get mine monthly. My trunk shipment had 13 items in it including jewelry, shoes, shirts, pants, and sweaters. You give them a brief description of your style and even link your Pinterest boards so they know your style. Each month when I send back the items that didn’t work for me I give them a reason why so they are getting better and better each month. I liked this trunk the best of all of the ones that I have received. This sheer metallic floral top is super cute. It has tiny silver metallic threads that run through the pattern and that gives it a small sparkle. The ruffles at the hem of the sleeves are another really cute detail that makes this shirt stand out. Because I had requested size large items and then kept returning them because they were too large for me they sent me mediums this time. As you can see, this top fits me perfectly. This top is very sheer so I decided to wear a silver lace camisole under it from Maurices. Almost all of my camisoles come from Maurices because they are not skin tight. I also like that they have cute details like the lace and that adds to the look of the outfit.I don’t have a lot of jewelry on with this look, only my Alex and Ani bracelets and the Amari necklace from Plunder. I thought the floral pattern was enough so I went simple today. My pants are a pair of Earl Grey jeans that I have had for years. I love skinny jeans so that you can tuck them inside of your knee boots. Plus, if an item fits closer to your skin it actually makes you appear thinner than items that bag or don’t touch you anywhere. Crazy I know, but true. Everybody needs a pair of basic black knee boots. This pair is by Bandolino and I have had them for several years. While I am traveling I threw in a pair of brown boots and a pair of black boots and that is all. I figure that one of them will match almost anything that I packed.

I have noticed the shorter tops at my shops too and I’m grieving because I definitely look better in tunic length! I think the fashion world keeps changing styles so we have to buy more!
Love that top and being petite shorter tops fit my bill! I like Tunic also but I have to watch for them being too long that they look like dresses, lol! If you ever come to NYC and have the time I will meet you and take you some where special. Fabulous experience for your nephew, you know the song…if you can make it there…?
Your eyelashes are soo long! and I love the outfit today as well. I am loving the sleeve detail and hope i see something like that in my next stitchfix box.
I love the color of the top and the detail with the sleeve….but the fabric looks like it would irritate my skin “itchy” if that makes sense. It’s a tad too short in length for me as I live my tops to hit lower over my middle. I do like you hit a homer in with the cami! Very pretty. A modern look indeed. Thank you for the explanation about the trunk show. If my finances support my trying it this year I will!!! Best…Kathy
Kathy, I hate to inform you but the shorter tops are really starting to come in style. I am not a big fan either. I do know what you mean about the fabric but this one did not bother me at all, in fact, I never even thought about that. I am really liking the trunk club more than I thought I would and the best part is that you can choose to get the trunk monthly, every other month, or tell them you will let them know when to send you one.
Great look and combo. How exciting about your nephew Pryce…..definitely send us pics. I really like this tank and I am glad that you mentioned that it is not too tight……so does it fit true to size? I have had tanks before that are too tight around the tummy and lace border. Enjoy your time off. ~Lisa~
Pryce really has an amazing opportunity ahead of him. I will try to get him still long enough for pictures. I am not sure how much he will like taking pictures with an “old” lady but I will try. Lol! You will like the tank, I like it so much better than others that I have tried.

Yes, you are soooo right. They would never be able to sell anything if they weren’t constantly changing things up.

I may take you up on that offer one of these days. I want to visit New York really badly.
You own a Lumber company we own a Diesel Repair Biz and sell heavy duty transmissions – a friend of ours owns Price Wiod Lumber and Logging.
All are a perfect vocation for a fashion blogger.

I think my daughter and I are going to have a “lash off” contest. Lol! She thinks hers are longer than mine and I say no way. Haha!
Great outfit and that’s great news for your nephew!
He is a real cutie and pretty dang sweet too!
