Affordable and Budget Friendly Spring Styles For Women Over 50
Who doesn’t love affordable and budget friendly clothing? Prices continue to rise, and I think it is important to find affordable styles so that everyone has a chance to look and feel great. I’m picky when it comes to affordable clothing, and I try to make sure that they are of good quality and will last for more than one season. I have several outstanding affordable and budget friendly spring styles for women over 50 that meet that requirement.
All outfits should contain shoes and accessories to look polished and put together. Check out a couple of my latest posts for affordable and budget friendly accessories:
Classic and Classy – Affordable and Budget Friendly Spring Styles for Women Over 50
Side Tie Midi Dress with Black Coatigan
I love this classic black and red outfit! The entire outfit looks classy, and the best part is that it is also affordable and budget friendly. P.S. – I won’t tell if you don’t. Lol!
The Side Tie Midi Dress doesn’t have to be tied; it comes this way. The dress is flattering because of the side tie and draping, which helps to camouflage lumps and bumps in the stomach area. The large fits me perfectly, which is the size I usually order in dresses. The red color has sold out, except for plus sizes. However, the dress is available in black, navy, and olive green, and most sizes are in stock.
I bought this Lightweight, Casual Long Coatigan, and I liked it so much that I also bought it in an off-white color. This coatigan is perfect for spring and early summer when the mornings and nights are chilly. It is very nice quality, and I love the fine knit material. You will be surprised at the quality and how nice it looks in person.
My Sam Edelman Leopard Heels (TTS) are a pair I’ve had for years. They are by Sam Edleman, and I also have their Leopard Print Flats. I’m wearing my usual size 9, so the heels run true to size. Here is a more affordable ballet flat that I just got in, so I don’t have photos of it yet.
Casual Style – Pink Cardigan and Wide Leg Jeans
Wearing bright colors makes me feel happy! I feel alive and ready to take on whatever the day holds in store, even if the weather is gloomy and rainy. Color plays a big role in your attitude, and adding even a tiny amount of color to your outfit makes a big difference.
You know that I love bright colors, and this Pink Ribbed Cardigan is certainly vibrant! I realize this color might be out of the comfort zone for many of you, but the good news is that it is also available in white or black. I ordered the sweater in a medium and a large because ribbed items can run smaller. However, this one seems to run true to size, and even though I’m wearing the large size here, the medium would have probably fit better.
These Patch Pocket Wide Leg Jeans look great with the bright pink sweater. The top is fitted, and the width of the jeans adds curves that I do not have. This tricks the eye and balances out my silhouette. The color that I’m wearing is sold out except for plus sizes. However, there are some sizes available in a few of the other color options. I’ll list a couple of other wide-leg jeans for you below.
Spring Floral Midi Dress
I loved this dress, but I found that it runs small. I don’t understand sizing in dresses, but for some reason, I always seem to wear a large or a size 12. I find that odd since I wear a medium or a size 8 to a 10 in tops. The size 12 in this dress is way too tight for me. Even though it looks like it fits, I can’t get the last inch of the zipper to close.
The Floral Short Sleeve Maxi Sundress is gorgeous and perfect for spring, but remember to size up at least one size.
These Mother of Pearl Floral Earring are like little wearable bouquets—delicate, timeless, and just the right amount of fancy. Whether you’re a bride, a bridesmaid, or just love a floral moment, they add the prettiest touch. Stack them up with the Georgia Gold Bead Bracelets, a bold yet classic piece that instantly makes any outfit feel a little more polished. Wear them together or mix and match—either way, they’re guaranteed to turn heads!
Sporty Chic: Neutrals That Aren’t Boring
Casual neutrals can still look stylish! This ivory jogger set is a perfect example of how to wear light neutrals in a relaxed yet put-together way. The black-and-white striped tee adds just enough contrast to keep the look interesting.
You can wear the jacket alone or open with a top underneath. The lightweight Sandwash Hooded Zip-Up Sweatshirt is the perfect mix of comfort and style. The soft, structured fabric gives it a polished feel, while the relaxed fit keeps it easy to wear. The zip-front design allows for layering, making it a great transitional piece for spring.
The Sandwash Pull-On Knit Utility Pants bring a refined edge to casual dressing. The wide-leg silhouette adds movement, while the soft stretch fabric ensures all-day comfort. The elastic drawstring waist keeps them relaxed while still looking put-together.
I love a good sneaker that looks stylish but still feels comfy, and these suede ones check all the boxes. The neutral color means they go with just about everything, and the suede texture adds a little extra personality. Whether you’re walking around town, running errands, or heading out for the day, these sneakers give you that laid-back, stylish vibe without sacrificing comfort.

To GOD Goes The Glory!
Verse Of The Day
Revelation 7:9-10 (NIV)
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
Found it!
My favorite outfit is hard to say. I love the white zip-up sweatshirt and utility pants with the striped shirt. I also love the black and white outfit, the white coatigan and 2-piece taupe outfit, the white jeans, patch pocket jeans and bright pink sweater.
My husband and I live in the East Tennessee area and we drove past the Martha Washington Inn last weekend while shopping for antiques, just down the road. We had breakfast at The Girl and the Raven. Their biscuits are HUGE and delicious! We will definitely be back and will try the restaurant you tried and will take a tour of the Inn as well!
Miriam, the Girl and the Raven is a great place to eat. Abingdon is full of great spots to visit.
