AN ANKLE BOOT IN A COLOR OTHER THAN BLACK OR BROWN

Joe said to tell everyone who took the time to wish us Happy Anniversary, whether on the blog or Facebook, a big THANK YOU!!! He also said to tell you that he could use your prayers. He said that being married to a Diva/Princess/Queen/Task Master like me was so hard. LOL! He is such an over exaggerator…..I am not any of those things; I am a want-to-be of those things. Hahaha! We had a wild an exciting anniversary. I was not sure that I would have time even to write a blog post for today. (Now who is the exaggerator?)The real truth is, I got over the stomach bug just in time to go out and celebrate. I bought myself the Leopard Print Hunter Boots for my anniversary, and then I gave Joe the stomach bug. Whoops! I told him that he should have picked out his gift and then I wouldn’t have felt compelled to give him something. So far his version has not been bad like mine was and I truly crossing my fingers that it doesn’t get any worse. But, for some good news…..Alaska Ashleigh has made it to Tennessee and is staying with my mom and dad for several days!!! She sure took her dear sweet time going across country. I think she left Alaska on the 23rd of October and who knows when she will make it to Grundy. She has been on a trip of a lifetime, and I am so happy that she got to experience it. We had a few days last week that weren’t “freezing,” so I took advantage of the weather and wore this crochet poncho that is several years old. This poncho was one that I bought from Cato Fashions, and I still drag it out of the closet and wear it at least once a year. It depends on the weather what I wear under it, and since it was warmer than normal, I just put on a tank top under it. Most of the time you will find me wearing it with a turtleneck (see here) or a long-sleeved shirt (see here). A poncho is a versatile look plus it helps to hide your midsection. YES! I love a poncho. Hahaha! My DIL was over a month or so ago and we were looking through the Plunder catalog. I love having my DIL’s look through the catalogs to see what they like so that I know what to get them for Christmas. Anyway, she mentioned that she thought this necklace was cute but it was one that I had overlooked. I decided to order it in to check it out. I was surprised at how much bigger and bolder this necklace was in person, and I like it so much better. That sucks for her, but maybe she will still get one for Christmas. Lol! The necklace is called the Izzy, and it features white tassels and multi-colored beads. The Jazlyn magnetic bracelet matches it perfectly with all of its multi-strands of black and white cords and rope. You would have to look close to see that I also added the Tawny cross bracelet to the look. I like that it is on elastic cord and it slips on very easily. The black drop Channing earrings complete my jewelry for today. These are the earrings that my mother liked so much, so I gave them to her and ordered me another pair. You will only have to pay to ship it once that way. These suede booties by Isaac Mizrahi are old, old, old. They are not a pair that I wear on a daily basis, but I do like to wear them occasionally. I think that they look even cuter when worn with a dress or a skirt, but I need some new tights, so I decided to wear jeans today. You may not care for a brighter pair of booties, BUT, just in case you like them I thought that I would find a few for you that are in the stores right now.

Black jeans are something that I love, but I seem to have a hard time finding. I love the look of a simple white shirt and a pair of black jeans. I would love to be able to tuck the shirt in, but so far my tummy area is not cooperating. I have black leggings, a new pair of black jeggings by NYDJ that I love, a pair of faded (almost gray) pair, and this pair that has patches on the knees. But, I don’t have a simple plain black pair of jeans. So, while I am searching for some to link for you gurls, I think that I might order a pair for myself.
