I am so excited to be announcing the 6 month birthday giveaway. I told you, months ago, that I hoped to have a Stella & Dot item to giveaway, so I ordered something. I am going to give you clues. Haha It is BIG, It is Black & White, It is Animal Print, and It is Jewel toned. There, I am sure you know exactly what it is, right? No, well I guess you will just have to wait to the end of the post to find out. Lol!Have you ever made someone mad, any you didn’t even know you had done something wrong? I usually know when I do something stupid, but sometimes I can be insensitive without even knowing. Recently I hurt someone’s feelings, but I just found out today that I did. In my defense, they took what I said the wrong way. It was not at all what I meant. But, in looking back, I can see how it got misconstrued. So, now what? I am used to having to deal with my Mom or my sister being mad, we just yell and get everything out in the open, then everyone is back all happy. But, that is family. I am used to Sandy or Bertha being mad, but we always get over it eventually. We can fuss or even fight, but if anyone else says anything about the other one, it would be “Katie Bar The Door.” But, I am on unfamiliar ground here. This person is not really my friend, we just have a mutual friend. So, I don’t feel comfortable calling her up and saying, “Oh by the way, that was not what I meant.” Or, “I am sorry I hurt your feelings, I did not mean it the way you took it.” Either way it just sounds off. I guess for now, it will just be left alone, and hopefully she will forget that she was mad. The problem with that is, I can’t stand for someone to be mad at me. I am not confrontational at all. I will walk a mile in the wrong direction, to keep from having a fuss with someone. I am always the one trying to come up with a solution to keep everyone happy. I would have made a good mediator. My husband is just the opposite. He will pick a fight, just to get everything out in the open. He thinks that if you let something just sit, it will fester and eventually boil. I think if you let it sit, it will eventually go away. You know how in those old western movies, the Indians always had a spirit animal? Well, mine would have been the Ostrich. Hahaha This is my 4th outfit of my spring series. I like the casual feel to this outfit. I have an “old as the hills” navy linen jacket from Ann Taylor. I don’t even remember buying this jacket, in fact I think my sister might have given it to me because it didn’t fit her. Who knows, but I have almost worn it out, I wear it so much. Here is a cute one on sale at J. Crew, and here is a plus size jacket. This white button down is another shirt I bought at Van Heusen. What I really liked about this shirts, was the cute edging on the sleeves. Here is a similar one, no edging, but it does have ties at the cuff that adds a lot of visual interest. This is the first time I have worn this necklace and bracelet set. I love, love, love this set. I had several people comment about them. This is the Aventine collection by Chloe & Isabel. The necklace is convertible, it just can be worn shorter, and the bracelet is a wrap bracelet. When I first got the bracelet, I thought it was a necklace. I took me a while to figure out otherwise. Haha I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer. LolI am carrying my Valentina kelly green purse. This is several years old and I bought it at TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx is a great place to buy higher end purses, at a fraction of the cost. In trying to find a similar purse by Valentina, I can tell you that I didn’t pay a quarter of the price I saw them asking. Here is a Dooney & Bourke purse in kelly green, and here is a Vitalio Vera that looks nice. I have on my boyfriend jeans by Old Navy. The only thing I would recommend when looking at boyfriend jeans, is to size down. I don’t mind the legs being fuller, but these are really too baggy around my tummy and waist. I wish I had taken them back and exchanged them. You live and learn. Here is the plus size pair.Goodness gracious, I need to break out the faux tanning lotion. Put your sunglasses on to look at my leopard print loafers, the glare from my legs might cause temporary blindness. haha I looked in my shoes and tried to read the brand, but I couldn’t make it out. However, there was a price tag still inside one of the shoe’s, so I can tell you that I paid a whole 9.99 for these shoes. Does anyone want to sign up for a shopping class? You can go around with me, and I will show you where to shop for all the best bargains. Here is a similar pair by Lauren Ralph Lauren, and here is a pair by Clarks. Well, you have waited patiently, so I guess I will finally get around to the giveaway. But, first, I want to thank each of you for reading my blog. It is hard to believe it has been 6 months! Thank you so much for sticking around, and being so kind to me.
