BRIGHT LEOPARD PRINT

I took the day off Tuesday and stayed at home to do some catching up on things that had been put on the back burner. I had to pay some bills and get my daughter’s taxes in the mail before the October 15th deadline. And then I did something that I hadn’t done in ages……I fried bacon, lots and lots of bacon. For some odd reason, Joe came home from going to the grocery store and he brought in 2 pounds of bacon. I thought about it sitting in the refrigerator and I got to wanting a BLT sandwich. But, I hate the smell of yucky grease in my house. When you fry bacon it seems to go everywhere, including all over your clothes. Lol! I went to the store to grab some lettuce and then came home and decided to start frying the bacon OUTSIDE on the grill. We have a side burner, so I grabbed my cast iron skillet and threw me some bacon to make my sandwich. Then I thought that I should fry enough for Joe to have a sandwich or two since he would probably smell the bacon on my clothing. While I was frying his slices, I ended up eating all of the bacon that I had fried for me. LOL! So, I went back to frying more bacon. Can you guess what I ended up doing? I ended up frying ALL 2 pound of bacon and I ate so much of the bacon by itself that I didn’t even make me a sandwich. LOL! At least I know what Joe is having for supper tonight. Hahaha! I bought this adorably fun leopard print top at a local boutique the other day. I loved the fun play on the colors and the fact that it had pockets. I wore this on the plane ride when I went to New Orleans but I wasn’t able to take pictures that day, except for the one of me eating huge shrimps that came with their heads still attached. I wasn’t a fan of having to disconnect the heads off of the shrimp but I was a fan of the top. Lol! The top is that stretchy knit that will show all of your flaws so I made sure that I got a size big enough to not cling to me. But, there is no a tag anywhere on this top. There isn’t a brand name or a size and care label. It reminds me of a homemade garment where you don’t sew a label in but this was store bought. Oops, sorry, I guess we are going to have to settle for items that are similar even though I know that there is no way that I will be able to find anything even remotely similar. Lol!

I am wearing my Margaret Sue earrings that are part of the new fall jewelry line that just launched. I showed these in the Plunder video that I did last Friday, go here if you haven’t seen that. These have a gold half disc with bright blue tassels attached on a 2.75-inch drop. I also added the Kelsey bracelet which has hot pink marbled beads and a magnetic clasp. This is not adjustable and it fits a 7.5 wrist. I spent at least 3 hours today getting the free jewelry together, addressing and stamping the packages, and getting them to the post office. Be sure to watch for your hot pink package to come in the mail if you qualified for the free gift from my last month giveaway. Over thirty packages went out in the mail!!! I really think that I should have worn a different shoe but it is too late now. Lol! The pinks are similar but not the same. When you are wearing it you can’t tell the difference like you can in looking at a picture. I wish now that I had of just worn a pair of navy ballet slippers with this. That is what I wore when I flew to New Orleans so I have no idea why I decided to wear something different for today’s look. Don’t get me wrong, I love these hot pink flats, but just not with this top. I am sure that you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so hunt out your pink items and wear them proudly.

I have on a pair of cuffed raw edge skinny jeans c/o Cato Fashions. I love that the cuff is sewn into the jean so I don’t have to worry if I have them turned up the same amount. This will be a fabulous pair of jeans to wear with my ankle boots this fall and I can see me getting a lot of wear from them. I am wearing my normal size and the best thing about these jeans is that they are on sale!!! Woohoo! Grab them while they still have your size available.

I had a lady join me in my Rodan + Fields business last month and she and I were talking one night. I asked her why she wanted to join me in business and I had to share her answer. She told me that she used to work but not she stays at home. She said that she now has a “daddy” instead of a “husband.” When she wants to buy something, she has to ask him for money or for the credit card. She said that she wants to earn her own money and not to feel like she needs to beg for money. Wow! That floored me!!! I have worked for so long that I had forgotten how it felt to have to “ask” my husband for permission to buy anything. Out of respect, I would always tell him if I was going to spend a large sum of money, but if I wanted to spend several hundred dollars, I would never even give it a second thought. If you are now a stay at home woman who wants to have extra spending money so that you don’t have to ask or justify your spending habits, then let’s talk.
