50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLDAnd another week bites the dust! Boy that went really fast and next week will go even faster with all the grandbabies here. I can’t wait to have all the laughter and fighting in the house. It would normally be so quiet after they leave except that they are leaving and we are leaving for Alaska on the same day. We will drive down to Atlanta on that Saturday and then fly out on the following Sunday. If you have never been to Alaska you are missing out on some gorgeous views.50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLDMy daughter was in charge of making the arrangements. I should have know better. Lol! I told her that we would stay from Sunday to Sunday. I happened to notice that my tickets say from Sunday to Tuesday. Then I will still have to drive home on Wednesday. This is going to wear me out, I will need a vacation to recover from my vacation. Haha! If you want to see some gorgeous views then check out my daughter’s Instagram feed. https://www.instagram.com/akuatic_ashleigh/50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLDCutsey and feminine is how I would describe this top. I think it is the unique detail of the three layers of ruffles. I almost felt like a flapper today. Orange and white (Go Vols) is a classic color combination or at least it is in Tennessee. Lol! The deep v-neckline and the cute cap sleeves all add to the overall appeal of the top. This was on the clearance rack at Cato’s last week.

50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLD Here is a good look at my earrings. These are my ladybug earrings. Lol! These are also known as the Esme. These are a perfect size, not too big but big enough to be seen and make a statement. They have small pearls and rhinestones in the cluster. BTW, since this is a close-up picture I thought that I would mention that because it is summer and HOT that I am no longer using any foundation or CC Cream. I have just started only using the mineral peptides powder from R+F. Foundation can be too heavy in the summer months so you might want to look for alternatives. A light powder is usually all you will need. 50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLD The bracelet on the left is called the Stephanie. That also happens to be the name of my beautiful DIL that is coming to visit. The dainty gold necklace has a small monogram on one side of the bar. I don’t know if I had the bar turned on the wrong side or if the picture just doesn’t capture the stamping. It is called the Jefra. This is one of those type necklaces you could wear with almost anything. I see necklaces like this in magazines all the time. The longer monogram necklace is the Colleen. It has oval cream pearls and a silver-tone chain. I like how this has the gold and the silver on the same item. I mix silver and gold together all the time but some are not comfortable mixing the two. This helps to make it easier. The Gail bracelet says HOPE on the gold bar. It is a double strand on the back side with gold chain links and pearls.  50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLD I love these Marc Fisher shoes. They are comfortable but they look so nice. I love wearing them with shorts, dresses, or pants. The neutral color lets you wear them with almost anything so you will get a lot of wear from them. I think the gold rings make them look dressier but the cork bottom still helps them to look good with knock around clothes. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLDNotice anything different in this picture? Charlcy was so sweet to send me two ferns for my front porch. They were delivered late Wednesday. Thanks, bunches, I promise I will actually water them. Lol! And now for my favorite pair of shorts. I love the fit of this pair of Bermuda shorts from Old Navy. I am not sure how old they are but I am on a quest to buy me some more. They hug your leg and give you a slimmer silhouette. The material is stretchy and they are sooo comfortable. Can you tell that I like them? Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU MIX SILVER AND GOLDWOW! You gurls really know a good deal when you hear one. I spent all day answering questions, figuring out the best way to purchase things, and setting up calls for today and tomorrow. If you are saying what is she talking about, it is a special that R+F decided to surprise us with. If you purchase any regimen and lash boost combo then you get 20% off the retail of buying the items individually. AND, if you purchase as a Preferred Customer (PC) then you will get an additional 10% off PLUS free shipping. That is a super good deal. To place an order you go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com and scroll down to the Subscribe and Save tab to become a PC. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be if you were a consultant. As a consultant, you get 25% off your products. So you get 25% off the already discounted 20%. Is that as clear as mud? Hahahaha To become a consultant you go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.biz and choose the Become Your Own CEO tab. That is probably why I got so many questions today, I can’t fully explain this. Email me with questions to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

  1. Tania, your blog inspires me! Thank you for writing it. While in Alaska you should come paint your own silk scarf with us at http://www.PaintAScarf.com We’re in Chugiak, near Anchorage and a one-of-a-kind destination. Then you can help me come up with great ideas of ways to wear your own silk scarf creation. —Gina, Artist-in-Chief

  2. Hi Tania I am new to these new Technology, I have been sick for
a few yrs now. So I found pintrest I hope I spelled that right by accident, any way I just want to thank you for your blog. I enjoy dressing nice and now that I am not able to work anymore, I feel I need to do it more. But here goes One day I was wearing jeans and someone said to me a woman your age should not wear clothes like that, now mind you it was a pair of Levi’s and a blouse nothing revealing. So I felt bad Iwas 54 at the time and being sick all the time I felt well maybe I look silly. Than I saw one of your blogs and I named your posts casual wear, and I said to myself she is such a pretty lady and dresses beautiful and she is in her fifties and looks like a model. I can do it too. So I came to the conclusion that I was not the one with the problem it was the person who criticized me with the oroblem she was the same person who told me I was Crazy to wear gold and Silver together. Which I Love.

  5. Earlier today I stopped by Cato and picked up a couple of shirts. So tonight when looking at your blog I was thrilled to see you modeling the exact shirt I just bought! I guess that’s a sign I’m following a blogger with my same tastes. Way to nail it! Looks beautiful on you. I think the shirt has the perfect coverage. Not too hot but not too revealing.
