CAN YOU WEAR BLACK AND BROWN TOGETHER

Oatmeal. That is the first thing I thought of, when I looked at this picture. One of my children, and I can’t remember which, used to call oatmeal, mitt meal. It is a shame that your memory starts to go as you get older. It never fails, that the things you would like to remember, you forget. And, of course the things you want to forget, you always remember.Joe was sitting here last week, and out of the clear blue, he says, “I can still remember my phone number when I lived in Cookeville. Do you remember it?” I took a stab at it, and had the general numbers, but it was in the wrong order. We both lived in Cookeville, TN before we got married. That has been over 30 years ago, and he can still remember his old telephone number. Lol!Back to my oatmeal outfit. This top was purchased last year at a street festival. There was a lady set up there that had started an online boutique, so she brought some of her inventory and sold it there. I wore this top last year (here), and I wore it over a long sleeve shirt. This time, I thought I would wear the short sleeve version, but it is a very thin top, so I have on a nude camisole underneath. The top is by Umgee, but I didn’t see anything similar online. These are the best I could do, sorry.

I tried to style two different types of jewelry everyday, but it was too hard. I barely have time to find what I want to wear, much less look for two things. Haha What I will try to do, is mix in some different items. Like today, I have on my beautiful brown beaded tassel (c/o) from Kay & Star. Here is where I wore it last. I love this necklace, it is extra long and has an oversized tassel. Be sure to look over their items, they are unique and always very well made. Their prices are very affordable as well. Also, be sure to check out the little momma-to-be that is modeling some of the jewelry, her belly is just starting to be noticeable. Lol!

You have seen me wear these bangles a lot, I like having the huge stack. I didn’t order them all at once, only two or three per month, but I think I only like one more having them all. The problem is, I don’t know which one I still need. (Bobby, Frances, Halsey, Liza, Monica, Odette, Skye)

The shorter necklace I have on says, Rise and Shine. Since I am not really a morning person, it must mean something else for me. I am going with, Let Your Light Shine. Basically the same thing. HahahaThese Rocket Dog loafers are made to look like they are 10 years old. When I bought them, they looked just like this, raggedy and worn looking. These just slip on, and you’re out the door, a very easy pair to wear. I like the canvas material, and this color is perfect with almost anything.

Everybody needs at least one pair of black pants. I have probably 3 or 4, because you have to have a skinny pair, an ankle pair, one that is a dress pair, and one that doesn’t fit anymore but I refuse to part with it. lol! These are by Old Navy, big surprise, and they have just enough stretch it them to make them comfortable.

This top is made a little strange. It has batwing sleeves, but since the sleeves are short, it just makes me look like a linebacker when I put my hands on my hips. Joe better not mess with me today, I think I could take him. HahaWell gurls, it’s been fun today. I hope this post actually posts when it is scheduled.
