CAN YOU WEAR SHORT SLEEVES IN THE WINTER
Hello, everyone! It is hump day, the middle of the week and only a couple more days until the weekend. Are you one of those people who really look forward to the weekend or is it just another day of the week to you? I like the weekends because I can play on the internet. Since I started blogging, I don’t have as much time to “play” on Pinterest, FaceBook, or to even look at other blogs. So on Saturday and Sunday, I will do a little surfing and just sit back and veg. That reminds me of the movie Pretty Woman.
You can see from the picture that it was a little windy here. It grabbed my dress and was blowing my hair everywhere. I should have tried to get a Marilyn Monroe type picture. Now, that would have been funny! White legs shining worse than they already are. This is one of the things I hate about the winter months, pasty white skin. I know I could still use my faux tanning lotion in the winter but it seems like such a waste of time. I am usually in leggings or pants and my legs don’t show. Today I put on a pair of leggings with this outfit and I just wasn’t liking the look, so put your sunglasses on and keep reading.
Whoops, it looks like I forgot earrings. I am terrible about that. I have a friend who won’t leave home without hers on, but I forget quite often. Let’s talk about this shirt first. It is a light gray and white cheek button-up shirt from Old Navy. I liked it because the colors were so soft. I wore this shirt last year and I had a small mishap. Read the post and see what I did. Lol! One of these shirts is 25.00 and one is 725.00! Guess which one is which. I love doing this, it amuses me 🙂
My necklaces almost get lost in the pattern of the dress. It is quite a busy pattern. The short necklace is the Tabitha (can also be worn long) and I have added a “T” pendant called Jody. The longer gray necklace is c/o Kay & Star. They are a wonderful mother and daughter company who sell their jewelry on Etsy. I love buying from small companies who really appreciate your business. Be sure to check out their Etsy store.
I have worn these boots and worn these boots since I got them c/o White Mountain Shoes. They are super comfortable, go on easily, and I just love this soft gray color. I am really into soft gray evidently. These are genuine suede and the supplier calls the color stone. I like soft gray better. Lol!
Now for this super cute swing dress. It is a LuLaRoe dress and I think this one is the Carly. I love, love, love the print and the colors in this dress. I wanted to wear the bright color to brighten my mood but it was short sleeve. Instead of wearing a long sleeve white button down or a turtleneck, I thought I would do some pattern mixing. I confess that pattern mixing is not really my cup of tea, but what the heck. Right? The gray in the shirt, plus the check pattern of the shirt, go with the colors and pattern in the dress. I ended up liking the final result. I probably would have liked a white shirt better but every once in a while you need to shake things up just a bit. I do not sell LuLaRoe so feel free to comment your website if you do.
Veggie time is over and it is time to get back to work. In case you forgot, here is the quote from Pretty Woman:
Vivian: Let’s watch old movies all night… we’ll just veg out in front of the TV.
Edward Lewis: Veg out?
Vivian: Yeah. Be still like vegetables. Lay like broccoli.
Edward Lewis: Look, I’ll tell ya what. I’ll be back. We’ll do broccoli tomorrow.
I hope you are enjoying my little blog. I know I can’t make everybody happy but I try. I hope if you’re happy and you know it you will clap your hand. Lol!

You are also like another favorite movie of mine…..Life (Tania’s blog) is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. Everyday you surprise me with your style. You pull this look off very well!
I have always been a very hot natured person and thought it was only fair that I should have “cold” flashes !!!! NOT. Lol
You always cheer me. Love the look and post.
I often wear short sleeves with a basic shirt with long sleeves under it. And then a cardigan over it! Yates, I also do have hot flashes!
Tania, Last week SE Texas enjoyed (because they are so few!) temps in the 20s- 30s for a couple of days; today, I’m wearing shorts and short sleeves for comfort in the upper 70s. Yes, m’am – short sleeves have to work in some winters! You styled yours well!
No offense intended, but I could not leave the house in that. Way too much going on there!
I have to agree with Deb on this look….love the dress, shirt and boots, but not the combination. Sorry Tania! You usually get a thumbs up from me, but not today.
That’s what I was thinking.. But everyone else is way better at pattern mixing than i am.. I can Pinterest lularoe pattern mixes and find all the pretty outfits. But I wouldn’t wear them. Too much out of my comfort zone
What a cute combination, Tania. I love the colors and your boots are adorable! Thanks for sharing. – Amy

Being retired, I LOVE Mondays, now! Don’t care for the weekends; how things change when you’re not working! I like the saying, “Don’t wish your life away.” (I can’t wait for the weekend, summer, vacation, Christmas . . . I try to enjoy EVERY day!) ?
Tania, I love your bold choices style! You are one of those women who could ROCK ANY outfit! I love that grey check shirt on you in both posts! Too bad about the stain but glad you salvaged it. I love those grey boots & have been looking for some every since you first showed them.
