I told you in yesterday’s post that Emersyn (my youngest granddaughter who lives right next door) came over and spent a lot of time with me over the weekend. On Saturday, I took her and my Energizer Bunny Friend’s daughter to Subway to get some lunch. We had a great time and I loved seeing them eat a fairly healthy meal. They did choose a package of Doritos chips apiece but neither one of them finished the pack. So, when we got ready to leave I asked them if they wanted to take the chips home with them and they said yes. Once we got home they ran to play in the pool and the chips were long forgotten. The next day, Emersyn came back over and she spied the chips all wrapped up in a ziplock bag. She decided that she wanted them with her lunch. She ate some and insisted that I eat a couple of the “Cool Ranch” flavored ones. Later that afternoon, she came over to give me a kiss and backed off waving her hand in front of her face. YUCK! NeeNee, your breath stinks! Nothing like the honesty of a child to put you in your place. I explained that it was those stupid chips that she had made me eat and that her breath smelled the same. She disappeared and came back in just a few minutes. She handed me something and said, “here, you need this.” I looked down and she had brought me some Dentine Ice chewing gum. Lol!!! I sure hope she learns some diplomacy before she goes to school or there are some people who will be chewing a lot of gum around her. Lol!!! I love graphic t-shirts! I have seen multiple websites tell people that once you are a certain age that you should not wear a graphic t-shirt. I think there are way more things in this world that I need to be concerned about than that. I think they are fun and expressive and after all, isn’t that what fashion is all about? I bought this top the other day when I went shopping at Cato Fashions. This one is not on the website, dang they take things off fast, but there are plenty to choose from.
Gurls, I don’t have on any jewelry today with the exception of my Tiffany bracelet that was a gift from EBF when I hit Level V in Rodan + Fields. BUT, I wanted to come and tell you that you need to make sure and check out the Plunder Mania that is going on right now. These are items that are being discounted and will keep going down until they are sold out. Here is the place to look. Make sure you pick a party with my name and then have fun shopping. Did you see my post yesterday? I had on a pair of white long shorts so today I thought I would style a pair of white pants. I recently found this on the clearance rack at Cato Fashions, they were the only pair in the whole store. It must have been meant to be. Lol! Of course, they are no longer on the website, why would I ever think that they would have been? I bought these because of the unique detail on the hem. I am constantly looking for that special detail that will set my item apart from the others.
My outfit is casual and so I added a pair of Tory Burch flip flops. These have been a pair of my “go-to” shoes this summer. They are easy to slip on plus black goes with almost anything. Other than the dressiest of outfits you can still get by with wearing these shoes. These have especially been useful at the pool and at the beach. There are times in your life when you have to take a leap of faith. It is not easy to try something new but sometimes it is easier than staying in the spot you are already in. Yesterday was my R+F payday and I just took a minute to think about how my life would look different if I hadn’t taken the first leap. My looks would be different, I wouldn’t have friends all over the US, Canada, and Australia, and there are a LOT of women who wouldn’t be getting their payday either. AND, I wouldn’t have been able to retire from a job that I had been working for over 23 years. My decision has affected a lot more people than just me. I would love for you to let me show you how you could be earning a payday also. A simple conversation could change your life. Take a LEAP! Those “don’t wear this after (insert age here)” articles. How about I’ll wear what I like and what makes me feel good when I put it on? And I think your graphic t is adorable!
You have helped me be SO brave! I wrote a couple weeks ago that (at 68!) I got gladiator wedges to wear to my niece’s wedding. Besides that, I bought a pair of white pants between a capri & ankle pants & they had the CUTEST ruffle on the bottom & about 8″ up the sides! I would NEVER have bought either of these just a couple years ago!!! Be proud of making us adventurous! 🙂
God bless. Have a great day.
Rules are meant to be broken!! Not that I think you can’t wear graphic tshirts, of course we can!! I’ve been on a graphic tshirt kick this summer, seems every time I go shopping I come home with one, lol….I even got my nail tech to make me one with a sparkly pink flamingo on it…lol….it’s adorable! She’s got the machine to make anything…I have a feeling I will be getting more done. Haha! Have a great day Tania!
I like the top and the sleeve length. I love blue and white together!! My favorite colors!!
PS – thank you for mentioning Anthony’s!! Now I have another store to choose from!!
Thanks for challenging all those nasty rules about what we are supposed to wear after a certain age! Who writes this stuff!? I read a few years ago on one “list” that you shouldn’t wear jeans after 40. What???
You seem to find all the bargains and in your size lol. I look on the sale rail everytime i go into a store and mostly items are in the smaller sizes but I do get the odd item. At home during the day I love to pull on a T and a pair of crops, comfortable to wear and I can wizz around getting the daily jobs done. Have a great day – Jill

I love a fun graphic t especially in the fall when we can throw on a coordinating cardigan. So cute!
