Celebrating Summer With The Best Styles From Chico’s

The “official” launch of summer is Memorial Day. This is when most pools open up, and the schools start to wind down. That also means many of us will go on vacations or travel to see friends and family members.

Summer is when we have cookouts, head to the lake, and watch fireworks celebrating the 4th of July. I thought this Embellished Flag Tee was perfect for showing a little pride for our country. I love it when you can wear your clothing in multiple ways. This shirt would look great for Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day. I’m wearing a size 1, and the tee fits me perfectly.

I paired it with the Girlfriend Americana Fireworks Cropped Jeans, but it would look cute with shorts or a skirt/skort. These jeans are a great cropped length, and I love the raw hem, but the embellished fireworks steal the show. The fireworks also look like snowflakes to me, so throw on a pair of boots with them this winter for a different look. I’m wearing my usual size .5, and they fit me great. They are a tiny bit tight around my calves, but that could be because I’ve been used to wearing wide leg and relaxed jeans.

Summer is when all the gorgeous flowers start to bloom. I’m a color-loving gurl, so seeing all the flowers makes me happy. Many of the best styles from Chico’s are colorful and feature floral prints.

This Floral Layered Cap Sleeve Tee is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. It is saturated with vibrant colors, and the floral print is lively and fun! This is one of my favorite tops from Chico’s; it is feminine and flirty, soft and comfy, and can be worn with so many different colors. I styled it with jeans, but it would look great with white, black, navy, and neutrals like beige. I’m wearing my usual size 1 in tops, and the fit is spot on.

I like my jewelry to be versatile, too. The Convertible Shell Pendant Necklace is going to be one you’ll reach for over and over again since it can be worn in so many ways. I’m wearing it long, with the gold side showing, which includes rhinestones that look like stars.

You’ll see mother of pearl when you wear it so the other side shows. Either side would look great with this top. The necklace is a quality piece but lightweight enough not to hurt your neck. I hate it when I wear a necklace that tugs on my neck.

These High Rise Straight Leg Jeans are relaxed and don’t fit tight around my calves. They feature the exposed raw hem, which is so popular right now. I’m 5’6″ tall, and the 29″ inseam is perfect for wearing sandals or sneakers. The jeans are limited in sizes for the regular length, but there is a nice selection of sizes available in tall. They fit true to size; I’m wearing a size .5.

How stinking cute?!? I rarely wear black or white shoes. I prefer to wear neutrals like beige, tan, etc. But I couldn’t resist these White Chain Link Sandals, and I’m glad I ordered them. Chain link embellishments have been popular for shoes in the last couple of years. I like how these sandals feature a two-color chain of white and gold. They are perfect for wearing with anything, including shorts and dresses. I ordered a half size up, but my normal size would have been fine.

The next two outfits are linen or linen blends. There is one thing about summer that everyone knows…it can get extremely hot and humid. Linen and linen blend fabrics help to combat the heat. You might have to deal with a wrinkle or two, but the trade off is worth it.

I love this Navy Stripe Sweater Trim Linen Tee! The uneven lines are cute and whimsical, and I could have been the one who drew them. Lol! The tee is lightweight and perfect for summer. I’m wearing a size 1, and this tee is still a smidge too big for me. If you want a slim fit and are between sizes, you might want to size down.

Here is how you can wear the convertible shell pendant necklace shorter. The necklace is a stunner either way you wear it. I thought the No Droop™ Neutral Shell Earrings looked great with the necklace. You can wear them with pretty much anything since they are neutral colors. They are casual, fun, lightweight, and I love how they move when you walk.

The elastic waist Linen A-Line Midi Skirt is lightweight and a perfect way to let your legs feel the summer breeze. I tucked in the tee because I wanted you to see how sheer the skirt would be. I wouldn’t normally tuck in the tee, and would instead wear it knotted to the side. Remember to wear nude colored undergarments when wearing white clothing, and you should be fine. This skirt would also make a great swimsuit cover up when you want to grab a bite to eat.

Last, but not least, I’m wearing the Linen Lace Shirt Dress that you recently saw in my Best White Dresses post. I styled the dress belted in that post, and I wanted to wear it loose this time. I love the lace detail of the dress, and since the dress is lined, you can’t see through it.

I added the Silk Blend Stripe Oblong Scarf for a festive 4th of July look. I’m betting most of you wouldn’t wear this “white” dress to a BBQ, but you might wear it to church or to a friends house. I love to use scarfs to give outfits more visual interest, especially if the scarf has a pretty pattern or color.
