This Year’s Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women
Are you looking for coats and jackets that are trending this year? “Are there certain coats and jackets I must have for fall and winter?” You might be wondering, “Which ones can I afford?” If you’ve had any of these thoughts, you are not alone. Navigating the expansive selections of coats and jackets can be exhausting. Today, I’ve got a few of the best affordable coats and jackets for women that look waaaay more expensive.

Coats and jackets are a fall and winter staple for most of us. The weather has already started to have a nip in the air most days, and Jack Frost has turned the leaves from green to golden yellow. Before venturing outdoors, I always make sure that I wear a coat or have one handy in my car.

Some factors determine our choices for coats and jackets. If you live in a colder area, you will look for heavier, insulated ones. Here in Virginia, I need a variety of coats and jackets since it can be mild one day and below freezing the next. But some people only need a lightweight coat or jacket to get them through the winter.

Another factor to consider is your lifestyle. Do you go to work every day? Are you needing a dressy coat, or is a casual coat more your style? What type of materials do you prefer for your coats and jackets?

Coats and Jackets come in a wide variety of styles and materials. Cotton, wool, leather, suede, faux, or blends are just a few fabrics available to you.

You also have to think about the style of coat or jacket that you want. Bomber, motorcycle (moto), long or short, classic, puffer, denim, trench, or vests are styles to choose from when looking for fall and winter jackets.

Coats also come in a wide range of styles and lengths. I’ll choose a long cashmere or wool coat for dressier occasions, but shorter coats are my choice for casual days.

I forgot to mention that the best affordable coats and jackets for women come in many colors. You can choose bright colors, neutrals, prints, or whatever matches your personality.

Coats and jackets in various styles and materials can be found at different price points. Today’s coats are affordable but still have plenty of style.

Now that you’ve seen all of the best affordable coats and jackets for women I found let’s see if any of them fit your lifestyle.
Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Puffer Jackets
Puffer jackets, coats, and vests are what I think of the most for fall and winter. A denim jacket is what I wear during the transitioning weather (here is my favorite), but once Jack Frost comes to visit, I need something heavier.

This Neon Pink Hooded Puffer Coat will keep you warm and brighten your day. I love the storm cuffs (which covers your hands for extra protection) and the fleece-lined hood.

The flats I’m wearing in all the photos are old. I’ll link to a few that are similar.
Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Puffer Coat
I consider anything that hits me at the hips or above, a jacket and everything longer than that, a coat. That isn’t an official definition; it’s how my brain works. Lol! I wear my long puffers when it is freezing outside, and I need to take my Lucy Lu out for a bathroom break.

I love this heavyweight puffer jacket. It is warm and has a hood, which I look for since I’ll be in the snow or rain when I’m out with Lucy. The coat is available in many colors. I already have a Down Maxi Winter Coat in black and a Quilted Primaloft ThermoPlume Maxi Winter Coat in Moss, so I grabbed this one in navy.

Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Bomber Jacket
A Bomber jacket has quickly become my favorite! I never thought that I would prefer a bomber jacket over my moto jacket, but I actually like it better.

This Washed Leather Bomber Jacket is such nice quality. I love the feel of the leather; it is buttery soft. You can dress this jacket up or down, and it is more streamlined than a moto jacket. Since this is genuine leather, it is more expensive than most of the coats and jackets in this post.

If you prefer faux leather or genuine leather is not in your budget, then check out this adorable Faux Leather Puffer Bomber Jacket. This is one of the most stylish bomber jackets I’ve seen. The quilted faux leather adds style by the boatload.

Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Moto Jackets

This Faux Leather Moto Jacket looks great and is under $50. The sheen on this jacket shows you how nice the material is. You can tell it is soft and looks like real leather. The hardware is heavy and feels substantial.
Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Fur Trim
I am partial to jackets and coats with fur trim. When a hood is trimmed in faux fur, it not only looks great but also adds style.

This Heavyweight Anorak Jacket is available in several colors; I ordered it in plum. Plum has become my favorite color for fall and winter, and I think it looks gorgeous with the blonde fur trim. The coat is a good length, and it really warm and comfortable.

I like the shorter length of this Parka Jacket, and that you can remove the fur collar. However, the fur isn’t quite as pretty or fluffy as the previous coat. It is a lighter weight, so if you live in a warmer climate, this one would be better than the heavyweight plum one.

Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Classic Trench Coat
A classic trench coat is one that can be worn year-round. It can be worn with dresses or jeans and always looks appropriate. I did a Thirteen Great Trench Coats For You To Wear Now post, but this one wasn’t included since it is a new purchase.

A classic Belted Trench Coat is one that you can wear for years. Since the trench is under $30, it wouldn’t take long to get your money’s worth. The medium fits me great and runs true to size.

Here is the view from the back, and it is definitely long enough to wear with leggings. Lol!
Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Texture
I’ve told you gurls, that everything comes back around, and this is one of those trends we’ve seen several times over the last decade. From cozy fur lined shoes and sherpa ballcaps, soft and cozy accessories are going to be all the rage.

If you love softness, you’ll LOVE this Faux Fur Shacket! It is incredibly soft and cozy, and since fuzziness is a trend, you be right in style.

Teddy Bear coats have been around for several years. They are soft but not fuzzy. A Teddy Bear coat is nubby and warm and looks great dressed up or down.

Best Affordable Coats And Jackets For Women – Lightweight
Many people live in parts of the country where a coat or jacket is only needed once or twice a year. If you only wear an item once or twice, you probably don’t want to spend a lot of money on it.

This Quilted Barn Coat is under $30, so it is affordable, even if only worn once or twice a year. This coat also comes in the plum color you know I love, but since I already had the plum parka above, I ordered it in black. Shucks, since the coat is under $30, I might as well go ahead and grab it in plum too. Lol!!!

Okay, which one is your favorite?

I really like the pink coat. Love the length and color of this coat.
Thanks for this post, I need a new coat and there are some great options here!
I am honored to share my birthday with Mattie B! She is a wonderful reflection of you!
Happy Birthday, Leah!!!
I am just wondering, why are you called Nana, instead of Grandma or Grandmother? is this a Southern thing? I’m from up North living in Florida and my grandmother was “grandma”
Linda, one set of my grandkids call me Nana, and the other set calls me NeeNee. It is up to them, I’m just happy if they call.
Tania, your granddaughter is so pretty and feminine.
I love the teddy bear coat in the sage green color. I am wearing my puffer jacket for the first time this year as we are up in Victoria, BC on a long weekend trip and it is really chilly.
Bomber jacket is totally my favorite!!
Really enjoyed the post with the coats today. So thorough. Loved all the different styles and price points you showed.
My favorites were the pink puffer, and the long Lands End coat.
Thanks for all you do for us!
I’m so glad that you enjoyed this post, Juliet! 😊😊
Beautiful jackets/coats and very affordable!
All cute coats. I already bought a Sherpa jacket. I really don’t have room for more coats. I have classic coats and jackets so I don’t have to worry about trends. Also in Texas I don’t have to wear heavy jackets or coats often.
