COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

For the second trip in a row, Joe and I have traveled through torrential downpours. Rain is wonderful to listen to while you are sleeping but not so wonderful when you are trying to drive. The overspray from the big trucks makes it so hard to see and the water standing on the road makes steering difficult. I am sitting in the passenger seat trying to work on the blog but I keep looking up to keep an eye on Joe. He finally told me to mind on own business. Actually, that was not his “exact” words but I think you get the idea! Lol!!!!I almost think he was trying to say that I was being bossy. I started to think that especially after our next conversation turned to older women and testosterone. According to my Wikipedia husband, as women age, our testosterone levels go up and our estrogen levels go down. He went through all of that to say that we can be bossy and aggressive. I wish I would have had a mirror that I could have held up for him to look in. What does he think us women have been dealing with forever??? Hahaha!Is it possible to attend a country music festival without a cowboy hat? I have been told that the answer to that question is, NO, you must have a cowboy hat! So, I decided to raid Joe’s closet and I found this hat. He swears that he didn’t buy that hat and I swear that I didn’t buy that hat. Now, I wonder who left their hat at my house??? Joe went through a phase when he was younger, before we ever met, when he would wear cowboy boots. That is hard for me to imagine since all I have ever know him to wear is khaki pants and button downs or golf shirts. Lol!

I love these pair of earrings that were a special purchase from Plunder. They announce a special and before I can even tell you about it the next day they will be sold out. In fact, that happened again yesterday while I was traveling. The Lindsey necklace came back in stock, here is where I wore it, and 5 hours later it was sold out. You have to be fast to get these specials.  I still BELIEVE! I am so glad that I found my necklace because I have really missed it. I love wearing it with all my other Plunder jewelry. Also, can you see my Alex and Ani bracelet with the “S” monogram? What do you think that stands for??? It has started to get a little cooler in the morning and in the afternoons. When this happens I like to wear a lightweight sweatshirt for weekends. The last time I wore this top I was in Alaska and it called for a cooler top and I for sure didn’t wear it with shorts. This is my traveling outfit for the 12-hour drive to Panama City Beach. Joe likes to run the air conditioner and I usually end up with my heated seat on because I freeze. I thought I would be smart today and wear my distressed sweatshirt. That would have been a great idea if the sun hadn’t decided to shine around the Atlanta area. We got stopped in traffic, I know you are shocked, and the sun was coming in on my side of the car. I had to turn on the seat cooler. I think that is the first time I have ever used that option. Lol! Wow! It was a wild ride last night for my Rodan + Fields team. If we continue at this rate we would be selling around 150,000.00 a year in products. That is crazy since I only joined R+F a little over a year ago. It has been such an amazing journey and it is only just now beginning. I really started the “business” part of R+F last September so that is what I consider my real Rodanniversary. I have always loved getting messages from my customers telling me about their experiences and now I have come to embrace being a leader of my own team.
