Who has plans for Memorial Day to go to the pool, lake, or beach? Maybe you are one of those lucky souls who is going to Hawaii or the Bahamas. Or maybe you are one of the really, really lucky souls who get to live in a climate that is warm all the time. I can dream but until then, I can at least have the perfect outfit for any of those places.I love this casual and comfortable outfit from The Purple Poppy which is located in Cape Cod, Massachuttes. When I selected the top I knew I wanted to take it with me on my trip to Florida. I love the crinkle material (remember I don’t like to iron) and the color is so vibrant and summery. The design at the shoulders was unique and not at all like other shirts I had seen. I call this a “cool” shoulder top. Lol! The openings are not large for those who are uncomfortable wearing a “cold” shoulder top. I thought this was a perfect choice because you can be comfortable and also stylish. The crinkle top also comes in white and black, just in case you don’t like to wear bright colors as much as I do.Here is a closer look at the material and the shoulder openings. I took the shirt with me to Florida but I never got to wear it. It pretty much stayed wadded up in my suitcase. If you remember the weather turned cold and I didn’t even bother to get it out of the suitcase. This is perfect for those of you who travel because you can see how nice it looks and it stayed in my suitcase the entire time. When I pulled it out it still looked perfect, no ironing or smoothing required. My kind of top!!!Because Erin knows I am a jewelry nut she also sent me this long silver necklace. The little silver disks are lightweight and the necklace did not hurt my neck at all. If you are like me and you have to be careful of the “heavier” jewelry With this one you won’t have to worry about your neck hurting. When Erin first approached me about picking out an outfit she asked me about this skirt. I told her no that I didn’t think I would like it. She didn’t press the issue, she just said for me to pick out something that was more my style. I told her that I loved the crinkle shirt and she said that she would ship it right out. I was surprised when I opened the box to find the skirt in there also. I tried the skirt on and had to email her and tell her that I was wrong and she was right. I absolutely love the skirt!!! The skirt was also crammed into my suitcase but it still looked perfect when I took it out. I really like the shirred panel details and it has a drawstring waist. On the website, it says that the skirt runs big and that you should size down. She sent me a medium and it fits but it wouldn’t have been too big if she had sent my normal size which is large. The skirt comes in several colors such as alabaster, black, blue, coral, navy, and white. There is also a shorter version of the skirt which I might have to order because I think it would be perfect for playing golf in this summer.Erin has offered my readers a discount. When you check out, type in Poppy to receive 10% off. PLUS, if you spend a $100.00 you will receive free shipping. That is a pretty sweet deal.
So, if you will be doing any traveling this year or if you just hate to iron as much as I do, be sure to check out this adorable outfit. You won’t be sorry!
Here is the YouTube video showing the entire outfit.

You do an awesome job putting things together!! I love your blog! I check it each day to decide what to wear!
My favorite is the Dress! I LOVE the colors! It screams Spring and Summer fun!
Oh, I have the same navy and striped Old Navy tunic and love it! I just love your jewelry too! ?

I love the checked outfit. It would be perfect for a cooler day. We don’t get many of those in Louisiana with the humidity. I’d probably have to say the dress because I could dress it up with a cute sweater or be more casual with a denim jacket. Thanks for all the tips and tricks.
I like the checked top best. You have the ability to wear so many styles & colors. This is my first time to comment. I have been following you for about 6 months. I feel your style is eclectic & fun. I was also amazed when I found out you were from Grundy. I grew up in Floyd county in eastern KY. It’s always good to see someone from the area do great things. Keep up the good fashion? Jennifer
I like the dress the best on you. BUT, I am so glad you showed the skirt and steered me to the Purple Poppy. I love to wear longer skirts and there don’t seem to be many out there this year. I’ve been looking at their website and thinking I may order one! They have several skirts on their site.
My favorite of the outfits from Purple Poppy is the dress. It is just so cute. I love this pink top too! The skirt looks cute on you, but it’s not something I’d wear (just as you said before you tried it on!).
I love the long sleeved Tee so much! I could wear that anywhere!!!! I am new to your blog and I enjoy it greatly!!! Thanks for what you do!

I love the checked top best! I like most all your outfits?
I am loving the navy and white checked blouse. I think I would tie it in the front. So pretty.

The cashmere wrap is elegant and such a lovely soft color. I pick that as my favorite!
Really close between the dress and the checked top… but, if I must pick only one, checked top outfit!
