DO YOU LIKE CLASSIC OR FUNKY HOLIDAY STYLES
Happy Holidays should have been the title of this post. But, as you continue reading the post, you’ll soon see why I titled it classic or funky holiday styles. I want to hear your comments about the looks because I know the funky outfit might be out of the comfort zone for a lot of you. It might be out of the comfort zone for MOST of you. Lol! But, don’t scroll to the funky outfit; this is like a good book; you have to read all the pages instead of skipping to the end.
I know that I wore these metallic joggers in yesterday’s blog post, but I wanted to show you a different look with them. The outfit looks completely different since today’s top is black versus the cream satin shirt that I wore yesterday. Since the joggers are a beautiful neutral color, you could wear them with any color that you want. I think bright and vivid colors would look great such as red, cobalt blue, or hot pink.
During the fall and winter, a turtleneck is what you will see me wearing most of the time. I love them because they are usually lightweight and great for layering under a blazer, cardigan, or coat. I try to take advantage of the sales at this time of the year, especially when it comes to higher-priced items such as cashmere. This black cashmere turtleneck is $40 off the regular price, so I got several colors while I could get it at a great price.
The Jack Silver Statement earrings look beautiful with black. The charcoal crystals shimmer and shine in person as they catch the light. This pair is the longer version, but there is a shorter version also. Kendras Scott is having a sale through the 12th (remember to take advantage of sales), and I’ll link to some of my favorite pieces that are on sale.
I was thrilled to see so many of you loved these metallic joggers. They are a modern and edgy style with a classic vibe when paired with the black turtleneck. I think this look is sophisticated and classy looking, and it would look great worn to a New Year’s Eve party. I am wearing a medium in the joggers, and I think the fit is spot on. I know that inventory is low in this particular pair, so I scoured the internet and found some extremely similar ones just in case your size is sold out.
So, how did you like the classic holiday look? Is this something that you could see yourself wearing for the Holidays?
Won’t you take me to Funkytown? You can thank me later when you find yourself singing this song all day long. Lol!
When I think about a Christmas outfit, hot pink doesn’t usually come to mind. However, I spied these crushed velvet pants in the store the other day, and I couldn’t leave without them. My DIL’s were with me, and they left with them too. Lol!
I kept on the black cashmere turtleneck from above and added a black crushed velvet blazer to the look. I’ve worn this blazer before when I talked about holiday outfits that look expensive but aren’t. I think many of you must have loved the blazer because it is almost sold out in most sizes. Hopefully, you will be able to grab your size, but I found some similar ones just in case you don’t.
These Madelyn Gold Statement Earrings are GORGEOUS! I’ll be the first to say that these earrings are a splurge, but they are beautiful and can be worn with so many different colors.
I know that these pink velvet pants won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. These pants are for women who like to stand out in the crowd. The bright pink is the color that I was drawn to, and I also loved the light purple color. It took me a while to choose between the two, but the pink won out. One DIL bought the yellow color, and the other one bought the pink one like me. Emersyn ended up getting the pink and navy version for little girls. I am wearing a size medium, and they fit good.
Since last year, I’ve had these black pointy-toed faux-suede boots, and I still love them. The pointy toe elongates your legs, and I think they look great with ankle jeans. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they run true to size. They also come in brown if you already have too many black shoes.
Well, now for the moment of truth. Would you wear these outfits? Which is your favorite, and why do you like that one?
I forgot to announce the winner of last week’s $100 Amazon Gift Card. The winner was Linda Grimm, and an email has already been sent alerting her of the prize! Love the joggers paired with the red heels
I love the joggers in what store did you buy them?
Love the sparkly pants.
I love the relaxed comfort of the metallic joggers!
Love both of them. I would definitely wear either one and feel good doing it. You look great hun. Stay stylish, I know I sure will….:)
Enjoyed both of them, especially the pink.
I live the metallic but I would never wear the pink! 😂
Love them both!
I never would have put together but looks amazing!
I love both looks on you. I think I would like the black turtleneck, silver joggers, and the black velvet together. I would skip the pink ones. Not the color but the style doesn’t appeal to me.
I’m wearing black velvet joggers right now with booties and it’s my favorite go to in the winter. I also have cotton ones and very lightweight ones too. Thanks for showing these. Love your look.
I love love love earrings. Wear my hair pretty short and dress up every outfit with snazzy earrings. The Madelyn earrings are fan-tas-tic! Thanks for sharing the link!
Tania, I believe it was you who recommended a pair of JAG jeans, Eloise style, from Nordstrom several days ago. I looked them up and saw they were on sale, so I ordered a pair. I usually have very bad luck buying jeans on line, but OH MY! These are perfect in fit, style, and the feel of the fabric. Love them! This morning I bought the satin shirt from Target that you styled yesterday. Again, it’s perfect! Thank you for your recommendations. Now, about those hot pink pants …. they’re not me, but you’re rockin’ them !
Love the first outfit, but the second one is cute too. You can pull off just about anything.
I loved both outfits. I would probably choose the silver joggers because I am short and a wide leg pant like the pink pair wouldn’t hit me in the right spots! You look great in both! Best Wishes! Leigh
I love both outfits! I personally would stay away from the textured blazer because I think that fabric would add weight to my frame. I love the joggers.
I like both outfits!!!!! They look great on you!
I would definitely wear both outfits. I love the pink color. Only thing I don’t like is the wide legs. I feel I am too short to pull off the wide-leg look. Love the red shoes!
Absolutely love the metallic joggers and the black turtleneck! It is so cute. The funky outfit is a no for me. I’m not crazy about the crushed velvet but definitely don’t want to stand out with a color that bright. But I do think its eye catching and cute enough for anyone brave enough to wear it.
I would wear the silver outfit, not the hot pink. Not because of the color, but the cut of the pants.
You are just too cute. I love to see how you style the clothes because when i go the store websites to look at the item, the model looks terrible. I would never consider purchasing from the model pics, but you make me rethink that! 🙂
You look so much better in the clothes!!
From the link you gave, the purple metallic pants drew me! I am going out to lunch with a friend today and we may end up at Target to try them on! 🙂
I just love those silver joggers!! I prefer that look personally but I love the more styling on you!!
Love the classic outfit! A little iffy on the funky but it may grow on me!
I love those metallic joggers, not so much the pink. You, however look fabulous in both!! Your tree is fabulous as well !!
My first look at the funky outfit made me say “No Way” but the more I look at it the more it grows on me! I would definitely wear the black turtleneck with the metallic joggers. Fun post. Thanks for mixing it up with something out of the ordinary!!
I love both outfits. Probably like the joggers a little more. I try on the wide leg pants and don’t feel they look good since I am very short but I would love those pink ones! Great choices!
I honestly love both outfits and I would wear either one of them, if I didn’t live in a VERY rural area, as in we live on a private dirt road with lots of woods for hunting around us. The closest town with decent stores is 1 hr away. I live in joggers, so that’s why I like the sparkly joggers. Pink is one of my favorite colors and I think the bright pink pants are fun!
Love the first one. Not the pink!!
I just snagged the velvet pants in navy and plan to pair them with navy boots, a navy turtleneck and a green blazer for a holiday party.
I love both but the jogger outfit is my favorite!
You look great in both, and I love the funky look on you, and I would have worn it once upon a time, but I don’t think it would suit me or my now lifestyle. More power to those who will – and can.
Love the hot pink outfit, but I would like to see a wide belt…maybe black with a sparkly buckle or big black bow?? Super cute! Yes, I now have Funkytown playing in my head…lol
I can’t make up my mind! I love them both and you look great in them.
Love the sweater with the joggers. The other outfit I don’t like because I am short and I feel like I look frumpy in wide leg pants.
You look so cute in both of those outfits! They both look comfy and glamorous at the same time! I’ve never worn either style of bottoms. I guess they seem too trendy for me. But, still, I wonder what my girls would think if I should up in either of those. I think I need to step out of my comfort zone and shake things up!
Would probably wear thef classic one myself, but those pink velvet pants are tempting! Is there a link?
Man! I am terrible at including links lately. https://bit.ly/3DG15E6
Tania,
Thanks for the Amazon Gift E-Card. It was such a wonderful surprise. I enjoy reading your blog every day. You provide great ideas at different price points. I love the festive look of the metallic joggers and the red shoes. Red shoes have always been a favorite of mine. Thanks again.
Classy and sassy! I love the first outfit! You look amazing and soooo slender. Please share your secret! I like the second outfit, but it’s out of my comfort zone. Thank you for ALL you do the gurls!
Tania, you look so sexy chic in the silver joggers. Your combination of a black cashmere turtleneck and red heels seals the look. Keep posting different looks, you’re one hot mama, and I appreciate every post.
You are looking fabulous. Why will you not address your weight loss. You could be an inspiration to so many women in your age group struggling with weight.
Do you have the link for the long sleeved “HAPPY” tee?
Ty!
I’m not sure which HAPPY tee you are talking about.
You like look great in both outfits! My favorite would be the funky one but with the more muted purple pants. I’m older than you and feel the bright pink is a bit much for me. Where can I read others’ comments? I can’t find them. Thanks! Love the blog!
I lobe the first outfit! Classic with a twist.
Classic for me but you look great in the funky town pink!!
I love the classic look, but you look great in the funky look too!
Because I’m up feeding the cat at 5 I’m usually one of the first so I’ll start. I love the silver joggers with the red shoes. I also like the pink velvet but I’m pairing them with the ivory satin blouse. I don’t like turtlenecks but I think my black velvet blouse could work for either pants. Great ideas.
The joggers look great with the turtleneck…very slimming.
I love the first outfit! Classy and comfy. You look great in pink pants! Too bold for me but love iOn you!
I like the silver sequins pant and the velvet jacket.
Those pink pants are so much fun and I love how you styled them! I enjoy wearing non traditional colors for the holidays, it’s nice to be different!
xo,
Kellyann
I’m torn Tania !! I would wear both – ok if it was my turn to cook I’ll wear the classic look don’t want any food stains on the pink 🤣 and if my sister is cooking I would wear funky because I can sit pretty in pink with a glass of bubbles 😂
Love the joggers. Where is Lucy Lu? She hasn’t photo bombed the past few days.
I am a classic girl all the way!
