Britishcore fashion is having a major moment. Are you aware of this trend? It’s all about timeless pieces with a nod to heritage and sophistication. Think muted colors, plaids, cashmere, and leather—this trend feels like it walked straight out of London Fashion Week and landed in your wardrobe. Still not sure what that means? Today, I’m sharing some great items that will have you embracing Britishcore Fashion this winter!

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Plaids

Item 1: Plaid Split Neck Dress

Nothing says British heritage like tartan, and this plaid split-neck dress is a winter fashion classic! The flowy silhouette is comfortable, while the timeless plaid pattern brings that sophisticated edge. It totally keeps it from looking like a housedress, lol. I’d pair this with knee-high boots and wool tights. Add a chunky knit scarf for a cozy finishing touch!

Item 2: Crepe Pants

These crepe pants are a wardrobe staple for a reason! Aren’t they gorgeous? You really can’t go wrong with Ann Taylor. Pair them with a tweed blazer or a cashmere sweater for a look that’s both polished and comfortable. I love the versatility of these. You can dress them up or keep it casual with loafers and every color under the sun. Available in classic, petite, and tall.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Cashmere

Item 3: Mongolian Cashmere Oversized V-Neck Sweater

This oversized v-neck sweater is all about coziness and craftsmanship. I don’t usually love oversized things but this looks incredibly comfortable. I’d be very fashionable lounging on the couch with a nice cup of tea and a great book in this. But, it’s also super chic – wear some dark wash jeans and kitten heels and ta-dow! The relaxed fit is perfect for layering over a collared shirt or pairing with slim trousers. It’s a neutral piece that complements different textures like tweed, leather, or denim.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Muted Colors

Item 4: Muted Heather Collared Sweater Tunic

Gurls, this collared sweater tunic is the perfect mix of cozy and classy for winter! The soft, heathered color is super subtle, so it’s easy to pair with just about anything. Toss it on over leggings for a lazy day at home (my fave kind of day, lol!), or dress it up with tailored pants and a wool coat for a polished look when you’re out and about. The longer length gives you that extra coverage we all love.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Leather

Item 5: Black Faux Leather Gloves

Cashtouch Lined Faux Leather Glove

Let’s talk accessories, Gurls—these black faux leather gloves are pure glam! They bring a touch of sophistication to any outfit while keeping your hands warm. The faux leather is buttery soft and high-quality, with intricate details that add a little extra touch. Pair these gloves with your trench coats or tweed blazers for a polished look that feels straight out of a Vivienne Westwood runway show.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Preppy

Item 6: Long Sleeve Argyle Sweater

Argyle is back, and this long-sleeved sweater is giving us all the preppy British vibes! Perfect for layering over shirts or pairing with jeans and ankle boots, it’s a versatile piece that combines comfort and charm. The knit pattern adds a touch of nostalgia, while the fitted silhouette keeps it modern. Add this to your winter wardrobe for a pop of pattern that’s both playful and polished.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Trench Coats

Item 7: Refined Denim Trench

Who says denim is just for jeans? This denim trench coat is a bold yet sophisticated addition to your winter outerwear collection. The tailored fit and double-breasted buttons elevate the look, making it great for layering over dresses or trousers. The dark wash denim gives it a unique edge, blending the timeless trench coat silhouette with modern aesthetics.

Item 8: Modern Trench Coat

A classic trench coat is a winter wardrobe must-have, and this modern take on the staple piece does not disappoint. With clean lines and a flattering cut, it’s perfect for layering over chunky sweaters or sleek blazers. The high-quality craftsmanship ensures it will last you season after season, making it a worthy investment. Pair it with tailored trousers and leather gloves for an outfit that oozes sophistication and elegance.

Embracing ‘Britishcore’ Fashion This Winter – Equestrian

Item 9: Naturalizer Jessie Knee-High Boots

My niece Rachel will love that equestrian boots are trending. She is set! For the rest of us, these knee-high boots are just what we need. Naturalizer is known for being comfortable, always a plus. The rich color is perfect for adding warmth to your outfits, while the classic design pairs beautifully with skirts, dresses, or even jeans. Add these to your winter wardrobe for a look that’s effortlessly chic and versatile.

    Found it!
Questions about the lounging sets – do any come with slimmer legs or straight legs. I am short & don’t feel comfortable with the wide leg pants that seem so popular with the lounging sets.

    1. Stephanie, they probably do, but not as many. Wide, flowy legs are trending, so you see way more of those.

  46. Found it!
    I hadn’t heard of Britishcore.

  55. Found it! Love the plaid dress and knee-high boots (although it’s difficult to find this style of boot to fit me, as I don’t have long legs and have more “athletic” shaped calves (i.e. not slim) ☹️).

  56. found it! Britishcore doesn’t really look like anything really new to me. I’m not that impressed. Not a fan of muted colors on me since I’m pale. Don’t like big, oversized stuff either. Trench coats and boats seem always in style at some point of the year.
