EMBROIDERED JEANS AND TOP
How pretty is this??? We were walking to the Hotel del Coronado and I passed this little setting. I grabbed my sister immediately and told her we HAD to take pictures. It was the prettiest day we had while in San Diego with a high in the upper 60’s and it was perfect for wearing sandals and a sleeveless top. When we finally got to the hotel we walked to the restaurant area to eat. I was looking at my phone when all of a sudden I felt this whoosh of air go past me. I looked up and saw everyone looking behind me so I turned around. A huge hawk was circling and then this woman came running with a perch. There was some kind of event going on later that day at the hotel and they had hired this hawk to circle and keep the seagulls away. I don’t know how the seagulls liked the hawk but it about took me out. I am glad I was looking down because I would have panicked if I had seen this thing heading straight toward me.
We decided to take the ferry to Coronado instead of grabbing an Uber. My sister looked up the directions from the hotel we were staying at and said it was just down the street. This is the first time I have worn these sandals and I am sure all of you know there is a small period of time where you have to get used to having the strap between your toes. If that wasn’t enough, we were walking on concrete the entire time and these shoes have “NO” cushioning on the insole. That wouldn’t have been too big an issue if the directions that my sister had us go in had been the correct ones. We walked about a mile in the wrong direction before we finally figured it out. We finally gave up and called the Uber to take us to the ferry. I was ready to have a foot massage by then.
Here are my sister and me again but this time we both decided to put on the sunglasses. That sun was really bright! I can’t believe how much our hair color looks alike. I never even noticed that while were out there last week. Several of you commented that you think we look alike and I never noticed that either. I made her put on a necklace today even though I don’t have one on. Lol!
My sister was shocked again to catch me doing some shopping. I am like a child, “look at all the pretty colors!” Haha I did not buy any of these, however. In fact, I didn’t buy very much at all while I was in San Diego. I bought a pair of pants, a shirt, and a new pair of sunglasses.
I bought this top right before I left town at one of the local boutiques. They don’t have any more like them however, this was the only one in the store. It is very thin so I have a white camisole on under it. I liked the design in the blue and pink and I liked the deep V neckline. The name of the brand is Andree Blue.
I know all of you are salivating over these jeans. I think they are adorable!!! These are the floral embellished girlfriend jeans from Cato. I have noticed that embroidered items seem to be a hot trend this year so be on the lookout. These jeans are distressed but they don’t show a lot of skin. Because they are the “girlfriend” style, they are loose and a little baggy in areas, but they are not as baggy as boyfriend jeans.

I didn’t know you could hire a hawk–what an interesting aspect of living near the water, I guess!!
And how cute your sister and you are in these photos!! Family memories are the best!!

Tania, I am loving the San Diego posts as well. The photos are, as always, great but what I really love are the stories from the conference. I especially love this one because you are a great blogger and I’m so glad one of our fellow readers recognizd you. Often when I tell someone about something I saw on your blog, I say, “My friend posted…” because I feel like I know you too.
I love these pictures! You and your sister look beautiful in the sun. You look great in a hat. Your top is so cute. I would have approached you too. I feel like I know you although we’ve never met. I’m so glad I stumbled across your blog! BTW, your sister sure looks like you. Pretty gurls!
?stunning, ladies
I am loving your San Diego posts- the scenery and weather look beautiful! I also wanted to tell you how much I loved the Tshirt and jeans series. I would love to see more of those series. Fun time with your sister!!
Y’all look like you had so much fun. I am glad the weather was nice too. You definitely can wear a hat and look fabulous wearing it. I have a ton of hats and used to wear them all the time. My first thought when I saw your hat was…. “how in the world did she not get that hat squished in her suitcase as it looks completely rounded and crisp”…..then I read a little further and low and behold you bought it. LOL!!!! I probably would have done the same thing Colleen did….went right to you and spoke. Tania, your readers love you.? ~Lisa~
