50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSI am struggling to find anything to talk about. I didn’t think that was possible but it has finally happened. I could tell you about my day Saturday. I stayed home and didn’t get cleaned up until around 3:00 pm. I know that is a real cliffhanger. Or, I could tell you how on Sunday we went to church and then came home and took a two-hour nap. Nail bitter isn’t it? Maybe I will tell you how Joe took me to the airport last night to show me his new heater. Stay tuned to the final episode of, “Will it light or will he stay cold?”50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSJoe is wanting to re-paint his plane. You have to remember that planes stick around for YEARS. They are not like cars where you replace them ever so often. On a plane, you have a yearly annual where you go through all of the planes and make sure everything is in good working order. Interiors are often upgraded along with the radios and other electronics. Joe doesn’t like that the plane’s paint is faded in spots and he wants to paint it but it is really too cold. He loves projects, especially the kind where you take something old and make it look like new. If I know him he will stay at the airport most of this winter tinkering on the plane and getting it ready to paint. That is why he bought the new heater, so he could stay warm while he tinkers. BTW, it did light!!! On a side note, I got an email while I was writing this that I have been nominated as one of the top senior bloggers. There is a vote to see who the winner is. If you would like to vote for my blog then go HERE. I appreciate your vote!!! Apparently, you can vote daily so please take the time and vote, vote, vote.50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSI know this is an unusual color for me to wear. I am not really loving the look but I wore it so I thought I might as well show it to you. You need to know that I wear my clothing every day to work. I don’t take all of the weeks pictures on a Saturday or Sunday. This burnt orange button up shirt is one that I bought last year at Cato. I went to my closet with every intention of wearing something in cream but this shirt caught my eye. That is how my mind works, nothing I wear is ever planned. Lol! 50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSThe Elsie necklace is made of lots of antique bronze disks. Then the necklace is adorned with antique style brooches. This necklace is way prettier in person than the pictures show. However, it is a heavy necklace and for those who have neck issues, this is not the necklace for you. My red leather cuff bracelet with the silver initial “S” is the Nona. This bracelet is adjustable from 7-8″ and it is about 2-3 inches wide. The hinged cuff bracelet is the Ennis. Yes, I am wearing it again. Lol! I love the colors in the bracelet and it goes with almost everything I have worn this fall. I bet that might have been intentional. Hahaha!50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSThe camel colored pants are from Old Navy. They are the Pixie Pants in the Mid Rise style. This is a great neutral and you need at least one pair in your wardrobe. They are like black, white, or navy pants in the fact that they are so versatile. This color pant will work for all 4 seasons so they are a great investment. The ankle boots I have on are by Isaac Mizrahi. They are the cutest ankle boots and they have a wedge heel for comfort. The buckle gives them a stylish element. 50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION BLOG FOR SENIORSOf course, the star of this show is the fringed cardigan vest. I bought two of this style vest many years ago at a woman’s club event. They have vendors come in and set up while we have a convention. In between sessions we can go and shop which is a lot of fun. This vest is reversible and here is a purple version that I have worn before. The colors of the vest “ties” all of the outfit together. It has orange, camel, and some darker colors of brown or black. I am using this in the same way that I would a scarf.

Good morning Tania, so enjoyed reading this post. First time I’ve been back since before my surgery. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers and inspiring posts. Have a blessed day!

  2. I like that you dress based on your mood at the time. That is how I dress and why I can’t lay out a weekly wardrobe. Where I live in Canada the weather is very changeable so that has a big impact as does the meetings I have that day. I also love the colours you wear and that you don’t restrict yourself to a particular pallette. Good luck on the vote!

Love the outfit. Looks great with your complexion. “I” – income. I am grateful that I am able to work and help provide income for my family.

  4. I love how the pixie pants look in you. I went to the ad and they look terrible on the model. How do they fit around waist? Are they really low?

  5. Very Vibrant my friend!!! I like these colors together. Congrats on #1 blogger….I’m not adding senior in my comment 🙂 My “I” words are, of course ice cream, this “idea” to list what you are thankful for by each letter of the alphabet, “imagination”, “insight” and since I left out my precious husband yesterday for “H”….I will add him today by saying my “Italian” husband. ~Lisa~

Happy colors, cheer you up! You are doing great in the voting poll! Sometimes life is just nice and simple and thank goodness for that! Hope Joe enjoys his heater and you don’t have to watch the paint dry?

  7. Brenda Foxy Lady says:

I like the color combination. You look very pretty.

  8. If Joe likes to take something old and make it new again, he too should become an R&F consultant. ?

  9. I love this outfit and how you combined the colors! I think the burnt orange looks really nice on you! That necklace is fabulous too.

    1. Voted for you. Your way ahead. Congratulations
