MY FAVORITE FALL COLORS
I love Fall!!! It is such a beautiful time of the year, especially when you live in the mountains. The air is crisp and clear, there is no summer haze anywhere to be found. The leaves are just now starting to turn colors, but it won’t be long before they are in their glory.
In the fall of the year, these mountains I live in are GORGEOUS! The road snakes through the town, and every view is looking right into a mountain side as you go around a bend. When the leaves are strutting their stuff, there is no place more beautiful. I just hate when the rains set in, and the leaves start to fall. Everything then starts to look desolate, the mountains are bare.
Even though I love the golds, oranges, and reds of the leaves, this deep blue is one of my favorite fall colors. It is what Pantone is calling Riverside, and it is a color of Fall 2016. Have you ever heard of Eva Trends? I admit that I had not, until they reached out to me recently. They focus on the US, UK, Australia & Europe markets. I loved that, since many of my readers are outside the US. I know it is frustrating to see me link to items that you cannot purchase. That is not the case today!!! I have on an Irregular Cut Embroidered Cotton Coat, (c/o) and it comes in three different colors. I fell in love with this color the minute I saw it. The fabric is light and soft, and the arm material is stretchy. This sapphire color makes the leaves pop! They jump out at you, and grab your attention. You can open the wrap, and wear it more like a cardigan, but you have to remember it would be asymmetrical.
You have to admit that this looks really elegant. This is one of those tops that you could dress up, or wear just as easily with blue jeans to a festival. That would look adorable. The open neckline was just perfect for me to add my Destiny necklace. I normally wear this as a long necklace, but I wanted something to fill in the opening, so I have shortened it to wear as a choker. I also threw on my new Jemma earrings. The pearl drop on the earrings, matched the pearl drop on the necklace. The metal color is not exactly the same, but that doesn’t matter. Mixing your metals, (gold, silver, burnished, etc.) is in style.
Here is a close-up view of the embroidered leaves. The colors are so vibrant!
And here is a close-up of the Celine bracelet. I usually wear a 7″bracelet, and you can see there is a large amount of chain left over. If you wear a larger size, like an 8 or a 9, you can wear this bracelet. I am going to take some of the links off, I am not a fan of that much left to dangle.
This is what I call a fail. I originally thought I would wear some cute little booties with this outfit. I put on the caramel color pair by Issac Mizrahi, and I thought they looked fine when I looked down. But when I took the pictures and went to see if they were in focus, I had a fast change of heart. They look terrible with the pants. If I had on jeans, then yes, but not with these mustard ankle pants. The ankle pants are by Banana Republic, and they are also a Pantone color of fall. (spicy mustard)
I really want to thank Eva Trends, for this gorgeous embroidered coat. These fall colors are really putting me in the mood for fall. I think I will even try to put out my fall decorations this weekend.

I ADORE this outfit! I am checking out that necklace now. Love these shades together for fall. Happy and bright!
Sorry, Jamie, the website is down till Monday. They are installing new software. 🙂
I am a subscriber from Boulder, CO and just received my order of this wrap. I also ordered another item and am pleased with them both. The order came very quickly – just in time for my trip to the Ryder Cup golf tournament. Both the wrap and the other fall top are already in my suitcase! I will be rooting for Team USA wearing clothes from the UK 🙂
I am so glad you liked your order. AND, I am jealous that you are going to the Ryder Cup, that is awesome. Team USA!!!
This blue jacket/cardi is gorgeous on you. The portrait neckline frames your face beautifully.

The outfit is beautiful! I have an almost non-existent clothing budget, but I get so much inspiration from you! I take clothes I’ve had for a while and combine them in different ways, and I’ve learned what to look for at thrift stores as well because of your blog. Thank you!
I wear my clothing over and over Kathe. I just try to do different combinations, and supplement new items occasionally.
I enjoy your blog each day, thank you. I would love a picture of your mountain view.
Good morning and happy Saturday, and go Vols!!! I have a question about the Plunder stylist thing. Is there a certain amount of jewelry I am expected to sell? I am not a sales person and would probably just let my friends know about it and see if there is interest rather than pushing it on anyone. Would that be acceptable? I really enjoy and look forward to your daily emails.
Carmen, I totally understand. I am uncomfortable selling in person myself. There is no certain amount you have to sell. You still get commission on anything you sell, but you are considered active if you sell 200.00 per month. I know a ton of ladies who sell Plunder, and they only use FaceBook to sell. They take pictures of their items, or of their self wearing the items, post to Facebook telling what they are and the price. The say PM if you are interested. You would be surprised at how well they do. Once people see the jewelry in person, they love it. If you have any more questions, email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and I will give you more specifics.
You’ve got me thinking fall colors and what I can put together differently this year. It’s a beautiful season. I’m mentally blocking the one that comes after!
I love the blue jacket on you. That is my color as well. Yesterday I made my first purchase ever from an online jewelry store. JTV. I bought that same necklace you were wearing. They never look the same when you get them but I could see that you have already endorsed it by wearing it. I can hardly wait to get it. There was no were to let them know I purchased it because of you modeling it,so I thought I would let you know. Thanks for all you do,to help us over 50, 60 look great.
That is sweet Judith. That necklace is very cute and was so reasonable. I am going to be attending a Great Gatsby party soon, I wonder it that would work for me to wear?
Eva Trends should send you a few more pieces to style; you did much better than their pages! I love wraps, shawls, etc. To change an outfit. Right now Marshall’s has a ton of them and every time it walk in there I come out with one. For only $19.99 gives big impact to a simple style.
Thanks Linda! I liked the wrap way better in person. You are right about them making a big impact.
This wrap jacket is a unique look! Love it on you!!
Thanks Donna!
Tania, I signed up to be a Plunder rep! Yay me! My number is 243197. It’s early Saturday morning so I’m going back to bed but will check all the videos out in a bit
Thanks

Absolutely love the vibrant blue coat, gorgeous outfit! And the model makes it look even better! Thanks for sharing all of it! have a fantastic weekend … I feel the urge to shop! 🙂
Awww, thanks for the comment. That makes my Saturday morning 🙂
That shade of blue is gorgeous on you and the whole outfit is fabulous. The leaf detail is a nice feature as it looks like a brooch. I envy you that the weather is already starting to turn where you live and your description of the trees and mountains in Fall sound breathtaking.
