Fun Sweaters From Nordstrom For The Holidays
I wear sweaters more than anything once the weather starts to cool off for fall. A cozy, soft sweater against my skin feels lovely, and since I’m always cold, it helps me to stay warm. I’ve been searching for outfits to wear for the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve), and I found some fun sweaters from Nordstrom that I think would work nicely.
Fun Sweaters From Nordstrom That Are Printed
Fair Isle sweaters are fun and festive, which makes them perfect for the holidays. I can’t see a Fair Isle sweater without thinking it would look great for a skiing trip. That’s funny since I’ve never been skiing.
If you’ve followed me for very long, you know I also have a “thing” for Fair Isle sweaters. Fair Isle is a traditional knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colors, and it became popular after the Prince of Wales wore one in 1925. I love the color combination on this sweater, and it will look great this fall.
The sweater does a little big, and even though I’m wearing a medium, it was still oversized. If you want a slimmer fit, then you need to size down.
Since most of us wear some bottoms with our sweaters (or at least I hope you do 😝), I thought I would also link to a few pairs of pants. These Pull-On Straight Leg Jeans are by a brand I already own, but the sizing was different on this pair, probably because they are a pull-on style. I ordered a size 2 (medium) and a size 3 (large), hoping one would fit. I opened the size 2 first, and they looked like they would fit my granddaughter. I was worried that the size 3 wouldn’t fit, but I was able to shimmy into them even though they were still a little tight. I suggest sizing up in these, but I’ll also link to a few other pairs of jeans just in case you want more options.
Here are some similar shoe options, too.
Fun Sweaters From Nordstrom That Are Embellished
I like to add sparkle and shine to my holiday outfits. Sometimes, I will go all out, head to toe, in sequins, but I usually save that type of outfit for New Year’s Eve.
I love the subtle sparkle of this Crystal Detail Sweater. It is chic and classy while still letting you shine for the holidays. I love this port color, but the sweater is available in six other colors. The sweater is soft, comfy, and has a relaxed fit. I’m wearing a medium, and I probably needed a small.
These Raw Hem Mid Rise Ankle Flare Jeans from Kut From The Kloth are perfect to wear now or later. The raw hem looks great with heels, sneakers, boots, loafers, etc. Kut From The Kloth jeans are of great quality, and this pair is under $100.
Fun Sweaters From Nordstrom That Are Oversized
Adding a third piece makes an outfit look more polished and put together.
Every fall, I get out my corduroy pants. Corduroy is trending this year, and you’ll find many corduroy jackets. hats, sneakers, dresses, etc. I was thrilled when I found this Stretch Cotton Corduroy Blazer, but I messed up and ordered a large, but it is too big for me. I can see myself being able to wear this blazer with jeans, leggings, faux-leather pants, or dresses.
You can count on lots of good food during the holidays. That’s why I like to keep a couple of oversized sweaters around in case I overindulge. Who am I kidding…of course, I’m going to overindulge. Lol! This sweater has a lot to offer, from the v-neckline to the extended cuffs and balloon sleeves.
I love shopping at Nordstrom because they offer a wide range of products from a variety of brands. And they carry high-end luxury and designer brands, as well as more affordable options. This makes it easy for everyone to find something within their budget range.
Nordstrom is known for its excellent customer service, and they offer free shipping and free returns; it is super convenient. I love trying on clothing in the privacy of my home, but I hate paying for shipping and returns. That is one reason I love shopping at Nordstrom; trying new clothing styles never costs me anything. Nordstrom offers BOPUS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) and contactless curbside pickup options.
Nordstrom sponsors this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

I love the Fair Isle sweater! Unfortunately when I clicked to buy it is sold out!
You look fabulous in that Fair Isle sweater! I couldn’t wear that particular one because of my coloring (and my double chin). But, you’ve made me want one.
Nice colors!
Nice sweaters – thanks for the links
I also hate clothes that are inside out in the wash- love Joe’s response! Cute sweaters today!
Love love love the fair isle sweater!!! You look so cute in that outfit.
loved all the sweaters especially the embellished one.
I used to hate folding laundry too. Many years ago a co-working told me that as she folded her children’s clothes, she said a prayer for that child. That totally changed my mind about laundry.
30 years later, I’m only folding laundry for my husband and me, but praying for everyone. My husband often says, you do a great job keeping all the laundry done. He has no idea that I have help!🙏🙂
Marsha, that is a fabulous idea. I might not like folding the laundry, but at least it will be a productive time for prayer.
Love all the sweaters on you. Really enjoy your stories. LOL
Loved the Joe story and all the sweaters! Thank you!
I love a v neck sweater but that crystal detailed one is a big contender. So cute! Nordstrom has such nice quality clothing. I like the halogen brand, too.
Love the sweater.
I love the feel of a beautiful sweater.
Love Fair Isle sweaters! You can never have too many of them!
Cute sweaters and the bootleg pants.
You look great in all of the sweaters. I love Fair Isle seaters as well. They are always so soft and comfortable. For holidays, I love an embellished sweater. Have a good day!
Have a great day, Cara! 😊
My favorite is the crystal detail sweater. They have a red for Christmas which would be fun!
Loved the Joe story. My husband does that with socks and rolls up underwear. ugh. Thought I was the only one dealing with that. Sisterhood LOL
Great sweater choices.
I am going to buy the fair isle sweater. I’m in love!
They have good quality clothing. Some of the things are a bit too pricey for me – but it depends how much you’d wear the item. Thanks for the ideas!
I am cracking up about your laundry story. I tell my husband the same thing. He told me to just leave them inside out, (and I do). I wash and fold the laundry and he puts everything away. Love the sweaters and they all look amazing on you.
I have the same inside-out issue with my husband! He also doesn’t want me to turn the tops of his socks in a roll to keep them together, so now his shirts are returned inside out and his socks are in a pile. Makes the laundry go faster! 🙂
I love the Fair isle sweater and just ordered it!
Love these sweaters— and love Nordstrom! Thanks for highlighting them!
While focusing on sweaters in this post, I really appreciate you also sharing a few bottoms and shoe options. Thank you! I really like the style of the last sweater. And of course, you look nice in each of the outfits.
Love the sweaters!
I enjoy your Joe stories. I love sweaters, but stick more to cardigans because of my power surges (hot flashes). 🙃
That is smart. I keep all my tanks and shells in my closet all winter so I can wear them under cardigans and not be too hot.
Thanks for sharing sweaters from Nordstrom. I picked one out
for the holidays.
Yay! Which one did you pick?
Love the red sweater. So pretty
Love all of these especially the first one!!
Love the crystal detail sweater – perfect for the holidays!
Great sweaterdy
Love the embellished sweater. So fancy!!
I really like the Fair Isle sweater! And folding cloths is one of my most hated chores as well!’n
These are some of the prettiest sweaters Tania from one of my favorite retailers. Love that fair isle one. Thinking of ordering the Good American jeans but the sizing if so confusing. Have a great day!
The sizing on those jeans were strange. I love this brand though, the fit is great for women.
I like the burgundy sweater.
Beautiful sweaters!!! Thanks for all your hard work!!! Happy Wednesday❤
Tania, That’s a funny story about Joe’s Tshirts! I thought you were going to say, he wore the tshirt wrong side out going out in the public! 😂 Who said it’s the woman’s chore to do the wash anyway!!! I’m like you, hate folding it all and putting it away! My husband has a lot more wash than I do! Always enjoy your Joe stories!
As soon as he came through saying that, I said, “this is going on the blog.” Lol!!!
I am also a huge fan of Faire Isle sweaters. They are timeless. Especially love the colors of the one you are wearing.
Me, too! I can’t resist a cute Fair Isle sweater.
I love the details on the Crystal and v-neck sweaters, and you’ve shown both in jewel tones – my fave! 😊
Cindy, I love deeper tones, especially in fall and winter.
I love the Crystal Detail Sweater that you feature. I did not see it being offered in plus sizes. That is disappointing. We want to look fantastic too!
Charlene, I didn’t see that exact sweater either, but the brand does carry a lot of plus size clothing. I looked over them, and there are a LOT of cute sweaters! Here is the link to those: https://shopstyle.it/l/b2W05

Yep, great minds think alike, did the same thing to my husband about the tshirt thing. I can’t believe how many tshirts he can wear in a day! Ha! Great post, I love sweaters and a good pair of jeans! Fair Isle sweater is my must have.
Joan, I told Joe that I can’t believe how many shirts he can go through in one day!
I love sweater weather and these sweaters! Thanks!
Love the sweaters!! Too funny about his tees. Sounds a little like me and my husband. Too funny!
I love your Joe stories!! I can so relate to the inside out t-shirts (AND socks AND underwear).
Pretty sweaters! I really like the embellished one.
I like the embellished one too!
Hi Tania, I have been following your blog for some time and love your sense of style. I had a milestone birthday this year and have decided to change my hair style. Would you be so kind as to post your cut. I know that’s hard to do but just a little something I could give my hair stylist to go by.
Thanks in advance
Teresa
Teresa, I don’t know exactly what the cut is called. You can show your stylist some of my photos from the front, sides, and back, and she should be able to replicate it.
I’m excited for sweater weather!!!!
Well that Joe story made me laugh out loud this morning. Great start to my day.
Love all the sweaters … just bought a sweater with balloon sleeves.
Your sweater post makes me feel warmer already. Love the red v neck on you!
Thanks!
Ha! My husband is notorious for just pulling his several t-shirts off over his head inside out. Since I do the bulk of the laundry and the bulk of it is his I no longer flip the t-shirts and they go in the drawer inside out. He says that he doesn’t forget to flip them but I’m thinking one of these days there will be at least four in a row like that and he may actually get it! I no longer get annoyed this way..and if it does just take a few seconds to flip they will be his and not mine!
I also love fair isle sweaters, and I also think of a ski sweater! Lovely!
Lol! I’m glad I’m not the only one.
That fair isle sweater is just beautiful! I love a good Christmas sweater. My choice for Christmas day is the festive crystal studded sweater.
