GIRLFRIEND PANTS AND A FLORAL TOP
Gurls, I am getting ready to head to Florida on Thursday. My Energizer Bunny Friend and I are going to drive, and it is going to be a loooong trip. Ask me why we decided to drive instead of fly. The answer is…I have NO idea why we chose to drive. Lol! The good thing about a long drive is that we will laugh and talk non-stop. It is hard to believe that three years ago EBF and I were only acquaintances, and now we talk once or twice a day. Lol! You have no idea who will walk into your life at any given time, and you have no idea when someone that you think will always be in your life will suddenly leave. Life is unpredictable, and you have to be able to weave and bob with the punches.
I will start the packing process today. I am going to take my tripod and camera with me so that I can take a few pictures while I am down there. That means that I have to make sure that I take shoes and jewelry that matches, plus I need to make sure that the outfits fit. I don’t know about you, but my clothing can fit me one time and then for some unknown reason, it won’t fit the next time. I blame the dryer when that happens because it couldn’t be the fact that I ate everything in sight and ate a whole bag of jellybeans. Lol!
How cute is this garden-style top? I bought this last week at a local boutique, and I fell in love with the floral print. I liked the muted colors of this top because they feel so springy. Like the multi-colored earrings, you can wear this top with a lot of different things. When I went into my closet to try and find something to wear with my yellow pants, this was the first thing that I grabbed! It is by a brand called Phil Love.
I just bought these multi-colored fringe earrings at a local boutique last week, and I have already found so many ways to wear them. Shoot, these match everything, so the possibilities are endless. This type of earring would have been out of my comfort zone years ago. I would only wear a pair of small plain gold hoop earrings, and I never changed them. Day in and day out, I wore plain gold hoop earrings. There is nothing wrong with doing that if that makes you happy. But, I love my large and colorful earrings, and I am so glad that I decided to buy a pair. The first time that I wore a pair of big earrings, (they probably were only a 1/4 of the size of these) I felt like I had a neon sign pointing at my ears. But, no one besides me seemed even to notice that I was trying something new. Here is a news flash for you that took me a lifetime to figure out…nobody cares what you are doing, they are too worried about themselves. That is not a mean or a bad thing; it is human nature. So, if you feel like wearing gold hoops, go for it. But, if you want to wear a bright pink fringe earring, then wear them with confidence that you look fabulous. The bracelets that I chose are not as bright or as flashy. You only need one statement piece per outfit, and that would be my earrings today. The Ireland set is a bangle get of both silver and gold, and they measure 8.25 inches. The middle bracelet is the Lucille. I love this bracelet with the marbled cream stones. It is on an elastic cord, and that makes me love it all the more!
This buttercream pair of chino pants was a pair that I bought when I did my “try on” at GAP last week. I loved the soft yellow color, and I liked the relaxed style. The girlfriend style chino pant is relaxed, and I like it so much better than the boyfriend style. You know that I struggle with my weight, so wearing something that makes me look or feel “bigger” than I am is not what I want to wear. However, I do like the way that these pants look, so I am going to give them a chance. When I went to link to these pants on the GAP website they were not there. However, I did find other girlfriend styles for you to see.
These monogrammed Michael Kors shoes have become my spring and summer staple when it comes to shoes. I think that it is because they are so comfortable. I have a pair of walking shoes coming my way since my heel has been giving me a little issue. Plus, when I get back from Florida, I want to start walking and doing some exercising. I have become way too sedentary since I started blogging and it is time for that to change.
Did you know that I love self-development books and videos? The crazy thing is, I had never even read one self-development book three years ago. I don’t know how I was able to survive without all of the encouragement that I get from these books and videos. I was listening to a new book that I purchased, (I use the Audible app) and it was talking about dreams. She said that even as a young child that she remembered dreaming elaborate dreams for herself. I laughed because I still do that all the time. When I am driving, I will find my mind wandering, and before I know it I have dreamed up something new and exciting for me to try to achieve. This is known as daydreaming, or maybe it is known as a goal. The difference is subtle. The daydream is a nice fantasy that you smile at and think, “that would be wonderful.” But the goal is when you smile and think, “let’s figure out how to make that happen.” Do you still dream? Please don’t quit dreaming and making a “stretch” goal for yourself. Life can be so much more, but we have to reach for that goal. So, I can’t believe that I am going to put a dream of mine out into the Universe, but here goes…I want to appear in a national publicized magazine. That is a huge goal, especially since the bloggers who are chosen to appear in magazines usually have a different style than mine. The bloggers in these magazines are more Avant-Garde, or they wear the styles that you see on the Cat Walk. An everyday style that most women wear is not what they are looking for since you can see those styles by going to a mall and watching the people walk by. So, if I want my dream to become a reality, I had better start making some plans. And, believe it or not, I am working on this goal and trying to make it a reality. It might be appearing in AARP, but hey, that’s a national magazine. Lol!!!
Put your dream on paper. If you are brave enough, leave your dream in the comments. We would all love to cheer for you! And, if you know of a magazine publisher, have them give me a call. Hahaha!

My first thought when I saw the pictures was Springtime and my Zinnia garden bed (my favorite flower) Fresh and cool look. I’ve been in a jewelry rut for a few years. Same thing every day, Nice but boring, as I’ve mentioned to you before. Now I want to wear all kinds of jewelry even big earrings, heaven forbid. LOL. Seeing you each day with it on has made me want to wear it again. By the way, I ordered the Lucille bracelet couple days ago. That’s a long drive coming up so safe travels.
I have always been the same way with earrings except mine have been silver hoops 🙂 I am trying to go out of my comfort zone and wear more of a variety but like you I feel like I am wearing a huge neon sign. Small baby steps I guess until I don’t feel as self conscious. I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip!
You have influenced me to step out of my comfort zone. I have confidence you can achieve any goal you set! Look forward to hearing all about Florida!

Go for it Tania! I’m behind you 100%! We can accomplish anything we put our minds too. Love the outfit today. The muted colors are perfect and I love that top! My dream is to own a cabin on our favorite lake. We contacted a realtor yesterday. Enjoy that upcoming road trip. Sounds like fun!
Really enjoyed your post this morning. Weather in Florida has been beautiful, so enjoy!
Oprah Winfrey is the first magazine that came to my mind for you. Maybe you need to narrow it down or just go for your BLOG in general. Anyway best of luck to you. You have inspired me to think of a dream for myself! I love those earrings on you and the whole outfit. It is very cheery and you look marvelous.
