Cardigans are a staple of my wardrobe throughout the year. I even wear them in the middle of summer when I’m going in and out of restaurants. Plus, let’s be real. They are great at hiding upper arms. Cardigans come in all lengths, but during this season, I like them a bit longer. I’ve found some gorgeous long cardigans to wear and enjoy now. Some of these are long and some are loooooonnng. Petites, go for the shorter versions!

I’m starting with the beauty from Nordstrom. It’s 48 inches in length and has a wide collar and a front button closure. Here’s some good news. It’s actually sold as a two-piece set! The slip dress that you see underneath is included! I think this is super elegant. It is also available in black which looks very dressy.
Am I the only one who wears a slouchy cardigan some mornings in place of a robe? This fabric is a waffle knit and is between 34 and 37 inches long, depending on the size. The link has a ton of colors, so if you’re not a fan of the navy pictured above, no worries. Also, it’s got POCKETS. Yay!
How did I miss this cardigan before? I LOVE a cable knit, and doesn’t this look cozy? I’d wrap in this baby and never take it off, lol. I don’t see the length, but from the photos, it looks like it hits around mid-calf. This comes in several colors, including a fun hot pink version.

This reminds me of the slouchy cardigan I wore as a robe, but it is called a “sweater coat.” This is also a waffle knit and is available in nine colors. The length is around 42 inches. I don’t see pockets, but the side slits are a nice detail. Layer this with jeans or leggings and a cute t-shirt. Reviews say that it’s super comfy!
This is a super soft cardigan from Nordstrom that comes in both white and black. It’s around 47 inches long and is made of polyester, rayon, and spandex. This looks great styled with a cute pair of jeans and a short-sleeved top. You can be casual and cute with the right outerwear!

This is similar to the comfy cozy cable knit above, but just a little bit shorter. Depending on your size, this is 33 – 35 inches long. One of the nice things about this version is that it’s machine washable. Wear this with jeans or a skirt and booties. There are 22 different colors available and it’s a great buy at around $35 dollars.
This oversized cardigan is ideal for wearing as outerwear instead of a coat. Unlike any of the others, it actually has a hood! This gray version is one I bought for fall, but there is a bright blue one available that would be perfect for a pop of color. If you’re looking for something more subtle, there are almost 20 colors in total. This cardigan is machine washable, and the length ranges from 38 to 41 inches.

We’ve now reached the short long cardigans, lol. Sadly, they don’t give me the exact length, but it’s described as a “midi.” This is one of the least expensive sweaters at around $30 dollars, and it comes in fourteen colors. It’s also available in a range of sizes, from XS to 6X. I love the bright pink color, and it will be perfect for a dreary spring day. The shirt is from J.Jill and is 2 years old, so it is not available any longer.
Finally, the shortest of the long cardigans! I love everything about this sweater – the two different knits, the batwing design, and all of the available colors. Depending on the size, this is between 26 and 29 inches long. It’s not a bad price at $35 dollars, and best of all, it’s machine washable.

I love cardigans, I’m petite so I have to beware of length. I wear them over my PJs. I like hiding my arms as much as possible so the light weight ones are perfect. I will purchase the pink one. My question is what shoes to wear with them because I don’t wear heels.
You know I love my heels, but I’ve been wearing flats and sneakers more often. And, in the summer, I wear a lot of sandals.
Yes I wear a cardigan over my night clothes too, haha! Love a good cardigan and many good ones I like here.
