HIT OR MISS – BRIGHTLY COLORED LEOPARDS
I have to admit, I love the new Hit or Miss feature every Wednesday. Any outfit I wear can be a hit-or-miss outfit since one outfit won’t work for everybody. I picked today’s outfit for a couple of reasons. This outfit is colorful, has a busy print, and is a leopard print.
When I took photos of this outfit, I intended this look to be a part of my Very Peri post. But, when I was working on the Very Peri post, I decided not to include this sweater since the purple/blue color didn’t show up that much. I loved this colorful sweater, though, so I thought it would be great for my hit-or-miss segment.
We all know that leopards have spots, but have you ever seen a striped leopard? Me neither, but this brightly colored leopard sweater sure grabbed my attention. This sweater is lightweight but not thin. You can’t see the button-up shirt I am wearing underneath it or the outline of my jeans. This sweater is a great weight for spring, and the colors of the leopards are so pretty; plus, I love the multi-colored striped cuffs.
You can see the length of the sweater in the back here. The sweater is longer in the front and back than on the sides. In some of my photos, I’m wearing the sweater tucked, and in some, it isn’t so that you can get a better idea of the length. I’m wearing a medium in the sweater, and I think it fits great, even with the button-up shirt under it.
I’m wearing a pair of veined Lapis earrings with this sweater, and the deep blue stone looks great with the outfit. The only other jewelry I’m wearing is my Cable Loop David Yurman bracelet because I didn’t want to detract from the print of the sweater.
I thought this would be a great outfit for shopping or running errands, so I added a leather crossbody wallet to the outfit. This is a great neutral color that can be worn with almost anything. The wallet is large enough to hold everything you need for shopping, and you can either wear it as a crossbody or through it in your handbag as a wallet. It is on sale for under $40, so I don’t expect it to stick around very long.
Because I intended this look to be part of my Very Peri post, I wore the same button-up chambray shirt, mid-rise tapered jeans, and Tory Burch ballet flats. You can read all about how those items fit by clicking on the post. I’m wearing a medium shirt, size 8 jeans, and a 9 in ballet flats.
I’m sorry if this post was short and sweet; I’ve had to work at the lumber company for the past few days. The good news is that I got the payroll reports done, and the W-2s have been finished. Woohoo! That is always something to celebrate. I can’t believe I used to work there full time and still manage to work the blog.
Okay, let’s hear it…is this outfit a hit or a miss? Would you wear it? What would you change? I love reading your comments, and I am so impressed by your ideas.

I like the sweater. It is a fun print, nicely layered with the denim. When it gets warmer, I would layer it over a tank, too.
I love it! But that sweater is pricey or I’d be ordering it. Darn !
the outfit looks great on you, I love the colors, but the sweater is a little to flashy for me
Sorry for me it’s a miss. You wear it very well but it’s not anything I would buy for myself.
I really like the sweater and the outfit you created with it. To change it up when it’s on the warm side, I would wear a collared shirt sleeve top in one of the other colors, underneath it. You could also wear flats in the same color.
Another Hit!
A hit fir you. Love the stripes on the sleeves.
I think it’s a HIT! Pricey sweater but so cute! Love the jeans and shirt!
Hi. I love the multi colored sweater that you wear. As I am from South Africa I do not know where to purchase something like that. I really like the way you dress.
This is definitely a HIT! This (almost) 71 year old lady would wear it in a heartbeat!
