50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO DRESS BOHO CHIC | FASHION OVER 40Gurl’s, this past weekend was quite an adventure. I had so much fun and ate some great food. AND, I also got to go on an emergency eye doctor visit with my Energizer Bunny Friend, so it has been VERY eventful. I did get to meet Beverly from BandBblog, and she is just as sweet and beautiful in person as she seems on the blog. Beverly is going with us when we go to Rosemary Beach Florida later in April, so maybe she and I can do some posts together then.
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO DRESS BOHO CHIC | FASHION OVER 40EBF discovered that she had put a deep scratch on her eye. Thankfully, the eye doctor was in the building right next to the restaurant, so we were able to get her in to see them. The eye doctor prescribed her some antibiotic drops which have done wonders for the eye already, but she was in a lot of pain and couldn’t hold her eye open or stand to look at the light. She even ate lunch in her sunglasses. It is funny how things work out because she had oral surgery two weeks ago, and was given a pain prescription that she had never filled. She was so miserable with the pain, but when she remembered the order, she had them fill it for her. The pills helped to ease the pain, but we decided to stay in the room that night instead of going out to eat. We made a meal of pepperoni and cheese. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO DRESS BOHO CHIC | FASHION OVER 40I am glad that you like the new photographs that I have been using. You might remember that I mentioned that the photos were taken at our local Walmart, you will see their sign in the first photo I added. I love this gossamer boho scarf top that I just got. What interested me about the top was the billowy sleeves and the overall chic look. It is one size fits 2 – 12, and it is handwash only. Here is the link for the top.

I added the Cambrie and the long Pearl necklace for today’s look. The small dangling pearls on the long necklace echoed the stars on the top, and the gold rectangles on the Cambrie necklace echoes the elegance of the look. My Shaila pearl stud earrings are a nice large size, and they can be seen even with longer hair. These earrings are fantastic to wear to nicer events, such as weddings because they are elegant.
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO DRESS BOHO CHIC | FASHION OVER 40My ivory dress pants are a pair that I bought at Cato Fashions last year. I don’t wear dress pants that often, but I like having a pair of white, ivory, navy, and black on hand just in case I need them. The same is true with camisoles, I have several colors that I can wear, and I can find something to go with whatever I have on. I didn’t think to get a good picture of my Linen Slide shoes, but they will be great for summer. I like the buckle detail on the side and how easy they will be to slide on and go.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO DRESS BOHO CHIC | FASHION OVER 40The business weekend had lots of information and fun with friends also. It had lots of good food (except for the pepperoni and cheese night) and lots and lots of laughter.
The three of us even jumped up on stage to have a few pictures taken. Lol! Someone said, “what happens in Atlanta stays in Atlanta,” but they should know me better than that. Lol! As you can see from the picture, there is room for more of you. Message me, and you can find yourself in our next photo shoot!

Thanks, Courtney Baldwin Photography, for the excellent photos!

shown with so many of your outfits.

    Thank you

    1. Betty, those are from Walmart!

  2. Hi Tania, I love your outfit today. Will you explain to me exactly what Boho is? I am not sure what that look is. I kind of thought it was sort of like a hippie look, but it must not be.
    thank you.

    1. Bohemian, I think of it as flowy and billowy.

Thank you Tania for another wonderful post and photos. Your top is lovely indeed and I too love pearls. A few years back I gave my costume triple strand of pearls to a friend who loved them and I felt generous thaT day. Wish I had them now. Still looking for a triple strand now. I still have my real pearls that my parents gave me as a teenager and will never depart from them, only when my granddaughter is old enough and appreciates them. Must say have learnt the hard way of getting rid of things, won’t do that anymore. Sorry, I’m blabbering on, do that quite a bit now in my old age (62). Must tell you though I love fashion, jewelry and all your posts. So interesting and great story telling. Thank you again. I hope I find some lovely but not too expensive pearls like yours.

    1. Sheron, I have some costume jewelry from my grandmother that I treasure. I have learned the lesson of giving things away too. It seems like I will need them at a later date.
