It’s amazing what bubbles to the top of my brain sometimes. Lol. When I sat down to write this post about cobalt blue, I suddenly remembered a toy from my childhood. Do any of you remember “clackers”?
Basically, you put your finger through the loop and then moved your hand up and down, making the hard, plastic balls slam into each other. The only problem was that every now and then, one would get off the string and go flying across the room. Watch out! I’m pretty sure I cracked a sliding glass door once with these things.
It can be hit or miss with toys AND trending colors. Celery Green of 2021 was not my fave! Not to worry this year, however. I think you’ll agree that we have some pretty good options. This was my very first outfit when I started blogging, and it included cobalt blue. A lot has changed since then, but I still love wearing bright colors, and blue and yellow are still one of my favorite color combinations.
Since this was waaaay back in 2015, none of these items are still available. But, I actually think I like the Talbots pants below better anyway. Those are already in my cart, so you’ll be seeing them later in the blog…maybe with a different pair of yellow espadrilles. Lol! Old habits are hard to break.
A classic demi boot pant from Talbots, rendered in cobalt blue, is polished perfection. I own several pair of demi pants (pants with a subtle flare beginning just below the knee), and I think they are very flattering. These are available in petite as well as Misses sizes.

It took a while, but high-waisted pants have become a staple in my wardrobe. I love the tie belt! These are made from a stretchy material making them incredibly comfortable to wear. And of course, if you don’t like the blue, they come in other colors and are under $30 dollars.
