HOW TO LOOK FESTIVE

How many of you have ever heard of Amazon Echo? I bet quite a few of you have heard of it and probably several of you already own it. For those who are not familiar with the Echo, here is a brief description. According to Wikipedia, the Echo is a smart speaker from Amazon. The device is capable of voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic, and other real-time information. It can also control several smart devices using itself as a home automation hub. Some of the examples of things Joe and I have done with the Echo is tell it to play classic rock music (Joe) or to play classic Christmas music (me). We have also asked it who was singing the song when we didn’t recognize the artist. We have started a grocery store list and we I see that I am out of something I simply ask “Alexa” to add eggs to my grocery list. We ask about the weather, that is really helpful as I go to get dressed. We tell Alexa to set an alarm for a specific time or even use it like a timer. You can ask about all kinds of things. I am surprised, but we have really enjoyed the device. I know some people might be worried about having a speaker in their house that could be “listening” to them. I am sure that is entirely possible but I am also sure that means they can be listening on your cell phone and computer and probably from satellites in the sky. In other words, if they want to listen they already do. I am starting to get into the Christmas spirit although very slowly. I decided to wear red to see if I could brighten my mood and to encourage me to think, “Christmas.” This cowl turtleneck open-weave sweater is one that I bought last year (I think) at White House Black Market. I really love the bright color but you HAVE to wear another shirt under it or you will be having a peep show going on. Lol! I do like the oversized band at the bottom of the sweater, it hugs the hips nicely.

I couldn’t wait to wear these Rudy earrings!!! They are the cutest things that I have bought in a long time. They are a deer with antlers and a red nose. Then there is an olive green tassel attached at the bottom.  The matching Peggy necklace is just as cute. Its tassel is olive green velvet. Lol! I will admit that the Diana jeans have become my favorite of all my jeans so as soon as they get washed I am grabbing for them again. I like the color, the fit, and the feel. Enough said!!!
