HOW TO MAKE BLACK AND BROWN LOOK GREAT FOR FALL

I spent a wonderful afternoon with my youngest grandchild yesterday. His mommy needed to go to an appointment, and he couldn’t go in with her. I decided to stay at their house to entertain him instead of going with her and trying to keep him occupied in the vehicle. He was asleep when she left, so I was a little worried about how he would react when he woke up and found his mommy was gone.

As soon as he woke up, his first words were, “where’s my mommy?” Yikes, but I told him that she would be back in a minute, and he was okay with that. I also bribed him with chocolate milk, so that might have helped. We ended up having a great time, and if you follow me on Instagram, I’ll be uploading a story about us sharing an orange. He is absolutely adorable! One of the great jobs of being a grandmother is getting called into babysitting duties. I’m working on getting him to tell his dad that he is “my” boy, but that might take me a while. He is firm in his statement, “I’m daddy’s boy!” I’ll just have to keep up my bribing techniques; they work every time!!!!

Look how nice the Deanna Vintage Gold long pendant looks with this outfit. Do you see spots??? I love this cheetah-print denim jacket! This jacket is a great statement piece, and it is one that you will love for years to come. I didn’t mean to wear the jacket with all black when I placed my order. A white tee and jeans were what I had in mind, but I have to admit that I love the column of black. This jacket is also going to look great with white and chocolate brown pants, and I can’t wait to wear it with a hot pink top. The jacket has some stretch to it, so that makes it comfortable also. I am wearing a size 1 in the jacket, and it is plenty roomy.

Did you notice that I am showing this outfit with brown and black shoes and bags? I’ve loved pairing black and brown together for a long time. This post was one of the very first posts that I ever did back in September of 2015! The leather is soft and subtle, and I love the pebbled leather. The slouch hobo design is perfect for me, and don’t even get me started about these long thick tassels! I am wearing my usual size 9 in these, and they fit me perfectly.

While we are talking about caramel colors, how do you like this handbag by Calvin Klein? I love a tote, but they are not usually elegant enough for a dressy occasion. This Calvin Klein Leather Handbag looks dressy with the gold chain and gold push-lock closure. Also, the chain is removable if you only want to carry the bag by the handles. This handbag has lots of different sections, and that is perfect for me since I like my bags to have compartments so that I can keep my things organized.

These stacked block heel booties by Vince Camuto sure make a statement. I love these gorgeous boots, and I think that the large chunky 3 1/2″ heel is easy to walk in. I have been looking for a pair of black pointy booties for a while, and these are the ones that I ended up liking the best. I think that the brown sole is why I chose this pair and look at how good they look with the brown in this jacket. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they fit great. Because of the pointy toe, they will be tighter in that area, so if you have a wide foot, that is something to consider.

My oldest grandson is celebrating his birthday today, and he is turning double digits today! He is a man of few words, but the class clown. He is quiet, but he will do a wild version of the chicken dance on a dime. Laughter should be his middle name since he is always smiling and giggling. I sure wish this virus would hurry up and vacate the premises so that I can see him before long. I miss my double-digit video game playing, Minecraft boy! Happy Birthday, Huttson!!!
