HOW TO STYLE CHINO PANTS WITH A MOTO JACKET

I am not sure if it is just me, but I feel like Crocodile Dundee in this outfit. Lol!!! I am not sure if the leopard print, the black-coated jacket, or the baggy chino pants that are giving me that vibe. I’ve worn camel items before, so I don’t think that it is the color. But, I keep finding myself wanting to say, “That’s a knife!” 🗡 😆

Talk about a tonal photo! The coco mat that I am standing on, my shoes, pants, shirt, coat, belt, welcome sign, and door all create this tonal photo. Heck, even my hair is wind-blown, which seems to go with the whole theme. I need to hop in my open-top Jeep, grab my binoculars, and go and see what kind of wildlife that I can spot. So far, the only wildlife that I’ve spotted has been JOE, but he doesn’t count. Lol!

I just got this leopard print v-neck t-shirt, and I love it! This v-neck tee is my favorite tee, and I have it in multiple colors. I wore the same t-shirt in the International Woman’s Day post, and I also own it in pale pink, dark pink, gray, navy, green, blue, and probably more that I left out. A t-shirt is versatile and can be worn dressy as well as with a casual outfit. They are inexpensive, and you will get your money’s worth from them.
Most of the time, I will order a large in my t-shirts. I never know if they will shrink, and I like them to fit somewhat loose. I think that these tees wash up well, and I’ve not had any shrink on me yet.

The temperatures have been nice for the past few days, but the day I wore this outfit, it was cold outside. I started to put on a classic denim jacket, but I decided to grab this black-coated moto jacket instead. I love this jacket, it looks like a leather jacket, but it isn’t as heavy or thick. The jacket has stretch to it, so I don’t feel confined when I move about. Plus, it is edgy and youthful-looking.
This jacket is by Liverpool Los Angeles, and I am wearing a size large. I think the jacket runs true to size since this one fits me so well.

This loose-fit trend is going to take me a while to get used to. I love how these high-rise girlfriend chinos feel when you are wearing them, but I am not sure that I like the way they LOOK on me. They are not too big; they are made to fit this way. After years and years of wearing skinny jeans, wearing baggier fitting clothing will take some adjustment.
Joe is still on the fence with this look. When I first walked through the kitchen, it was a hard NO from him. But, after he had seen me wearing them all day, that night he was a MAYBE. I didn’t jump in with both feet on the skinny jean trend, but it still grew on me. So, that is how I think this loose fit trend will do also. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit me great…really.

Who would have thought that I would ever like wearing a belt? I still don’t like drawing attention to my waist, but when I wear a jacket or cardigan to hide my sides, I don’t mind it as badly. Plus, the addition of the belt makes an outfit look finished and put together. It is like wearing lipstick or jewelry; it complements and completes the look.
I am wearing a Madewell Perfect Leather Belt in large. When I bought the belt, we were wearing our pants lower, but now that we are wearing high-rise pants, I need to order the medium.

I am wearing the large AVI hoops in gold, and the Elisa gold vermeil pendant with TANIA monogrammed on it for jewelry. I love this monogrammed pendant, and I think that it makes a fabulous gift. Think “mama” for the first baby, or as a graduation gift with their name or the year.
I am celebrating this month because it is Joe’s Birthday month. He told me that I couldn’t make a big deal out of his birthday. I don’t think that announcing for the entire world to see is making a big deal. Lol! So, randomly, each week, I am going to pick a winner for a gift. The gifts will vary in size and price, and I will pick the winner from the comments that I receive during the week.
This past week’s winner is…..Rory! Keep commenting, and you might be next week’s winner.

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

I like the outfit and it looks good on you, especially with the black jacket!
I love the color combination. I’m not so much on board with the pants however, I remember when I couldn’t find these in the store anymore because all the khaki’s were slim, short and tight. Lol.
This look is fine, but I like you better in a brighter color. This is just too beige/black. Sorry!
Love the colors in this outfit and the leopard tee. Not sure about the pants. I used to wear chinos a lot, but somewhere along the way I fell out of love with them. I think this would be such a cute outfit with a pair of jeans. Have a good Thursday!
It’s not you….I just can’t get on board with the baggy pants trend. I instantly think they age us, whereas I think the skinny pants look sleek and youthful. Hmm. And, I’m not saying they don’t look good on you, I’m just not on board yet. I think the slim fit looks more youthful. 😁
I agree – this pants style is just not doing it for me. Maybe its our age and I see all of our seniors in their days wearing the baggy, elastic waist polyester pants..lol. This is not insult to you Tanya at all – I know this is supposed to be the new trend but I’m not having it yet. I did purchase some Straight jeans from Old Navy to give them a try and I must say I’m enjoying wearing them, they are very comfortable but they still seem to have a slimmer profile than these chinos. I guess time will tell – we get stubborn in our aging don’t we.
Oh Tania, I’m right there with you! Just can’t wear baggy pants after wearing skinny and straight pants. These seem to be bulky in the crotch area, which to me, isn’t flattering. The top and jacket are perfect, but I will have to pass on the loose chinos. You are darling as always, just not your sparkly self.
“Throw another shrimp on the barbie “ for me! This look is definitely going to take a while. I own a couple of pairs but styling them is a challenge! When they fit well at the waist the looser fit is comfortable. Keep up the good work, I need help with ideas to make them look modern not matronly.
Love this look! T-sirt, pants & shoes! Maybe try a neutral colour belt so not to draw attention to waist. I’d like to see a different colour of jacket, find the black to harsh!

I think the baggier pants make it look like you just lost weight and need to go buy the next size down. 😉
“That’s a knife!” You are too funny, Tania! That’s a cute outfit!
You look nice in your outfit!
