How to Wear The Color Of The Year – Mocha
You might be wondering what the color of the year is and who picks it. Pantone picks the color of the year, and this year, it is a beautiful color called Mocha Mousse. Now that you know who picks the color, you might wonder how to wear it.
Mocha is a warm, rich brown hue, think chocolate and coffee. It would go with a lot of colors, from earthy tones to soft pastels. I’ve found that the color varies from store to store or item to item. So, I pick the color that I like.
How I’m Styling Mocha
Striped Mock Neck and Flare Jeans
Good American isn’t a new brand to me, but it is one that I’ve only styled once or twice. I ordered the Always Fits Good Distressed Flare Jeans because I wanted to try this style. It is supposed to have enough stretch to them to fit several different size ranges. I’m wearing a 6-12, and my usual size in jeans is an 8.
The fit is AMAZING! I love the amount of stretch associated with these jeans, but I worried they might expand as the day went on since they covered so many different sizes. So, I wore them for two days in a row, and they still fit like a dream. The color is the perfect shade and can be dressed up or down.
I try to style lots of good quality clothing at affordable prices. The price of everything has gone sky-high, so I want to highlight items that are affordable, stylish and will last you for several years. This Stripe Ribbed Sweater (Medium) fits that description, and since it is Mocha, it will keep you looking modern, also. The mock neck isn’t tight and is very comfortable to wear.
The Buckle Strap Suede & Leather Shoulder Bag is a new purchase, and I like it. It is a medium size and can be worn as a crossbody for hands-free shopping. The quality is nice, with a suede body and leather trim. It is also available in black, but I love this brown color.
Okay, can we talk about how gorgeous these suede boots are? The sandstone color is perfect for fall, and the sleek design adds a touch of elegance to any outfit. These boots are versatile enough to dress up or down. The stacked heel gives you that extra bit of height without sacrificing comfort, which is a total game changer. These boots look effortlessly chic for brunch, running errands, or planning a fall date night.
Leopard Print and Camel
Wit & Wisdom is one of my favorite brands for jeans. The ‘Ab’Solution Straight Leg Jeans are seriously one of those wardrobe staples you’ll want to live in. They have a hidden elastic waistband and slimming panels that make you feel comfy and confident all day. The straight-leg style is classic and versatile—easy to dress up with a cute blouse or keep casual with a cozy sweater. Plus, the fabric has just the right amount of stretch, so they move with you but won’t lose their shape. If you’re looking for jeans that look great and feel even better at an affordable price, these are it!
So, let’s talk about this khaki Cardigan Knit Button Jacket I’m wearing. The price of this knit jacket is very reasonable, especially for the quality. I’m wearing a medium, and I was able to layer it over the leopard shirt since it has plenty of stretch to it. It is available in many colors, and I’m also going to order the navy since it is a great neutral. This is also versatile since you can wear it as a thick button-up shirt, and the price is under $30!
This Cheetah Puff Sleeve Shirt is too cute! I don’t usually like tops with a high neck since I have more chins that I want people to look at. However, this shirt now hangs safely in my closet because I love it so much. It fits great and has cute details. Plus, I love a Cheetah print since it is usually smaller than a leopard print.
The Cole Haan Stassi Penny Loafer is one of those shoes you’ll keep slipping on because they’re just that easy to wear. They have a classic penny loafer look with a bit of modern flair, and the cushioned insole means your feet are happy all day. Whether you’re running errands in jeans or heading to lunch in a cute skirt, these loafers just work. Stylish, comfy, and go-with-everything—what more could you ask for? These are available in several colors in case your size is sold out.
I hope you enjoyed today’s outfits. Let me know what you think about the price point and what item speaks to you. You can see more mocha items in my Pantone Color of the Year (Mocha) post.

The mocha color looks beautiful with your skin tone!
I’m glad this is the color because I already own quite a bit of it!
Mocha Mousse is a good color on you.
I’m really liking the color Mocha.
And, what a great idea about freezing eggs. Will have to try that.
Love the mocha color and the mock neck sweater. Looks awesome on you !
Those suede boots are absolutely GORGEOUS! But I just can’t wear them. How do you wear pointed toe shoes/boots all day/night and not have your feet complain? My size 9.5 wide feet would scream at me! What’s the secret? I have the same request with heels. My feet slide forward and then they get all squished and hurt. I have no idea how I wore 3″ heels daily to work. By the way, the freezing of eggs is an interesting experiment especially with the rising price of eggs. Keep us posted!
I have always worn heels, so I guess my feet are accustomed to them. I feel weird wearing flats and loafers which I’m trying to do more of.
I love the cardi jacket in Camel & I love the mocha color too. I’ve never done that with eggs. Enjoy.
Love mocha color, and the sweater you are wearing!
I love the mocha striped sweater with jeans outfit. Mocha seems like such a classy sophisticated color compared with all the Barbie pink we’ve been wearing!
Thanks for sharing the idea of freezing eggs I’ve never heard of it but I think I’m going to try it.
I buy mine from a local family that has chickens. brown eggs We eat eggs almost every Morning.
Blessings RAH
I’ve read that you need to scramble them first before freezing. I did that. I recommend trying a few before you freeze a bunch just in case you don’t like it.
Great to know. I will have to try it.
