Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped t-shirt with a navy crochet cardigan, chewed hem jeans, and leopard print flatsIt is just another day here in the Stephens household. Like a lot of you, I am trying to use my time at home wisely, even though I was home a lot already. I have cooked waaaaay more than ever before. Thanks to everyone who commented about a recipe on my blog the other day. I am sure that I might have missed some who commented by messenger or on a different post. If I did, then re-send the recipe to me, and I’ll add it to the PDF that I created. You will find the PDF at the end of this post.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped t-shirt with a navy crochet cardigan, chewed hem jeans, and leopard flatsJoe has been getting my office fixed up for me, and we are almost finished. I now need to find a desk, but they all look so cheap online, and the ones that don’t look cheap are crazy expensive. One side of my room is going to be for a desk and an area to take pictures. The other side of the room is going to be for exercise.

We had two treadmills, but my ankle has been bothering me ever since I fell in the parking lot at McDonald’s on my way to Tennessee. So, Joe bought me an elliptical machine and sold one of the treadmills. Today was the first day that I got to try the elliptical out. Oh my; I am in horrible shape! I was exhausted in just a few minutes. I was on the phone to my mother, Joe was standing there talking to me, and I was almost gasping for breath in just 5 minutes. Oh well, I guess we all have to start somewhere. But, tomorrow, I am going to try it again without talking to someone at the same time. Lol!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped shirt with a navy crochet cardiganI am continuing with the t-shirt and jeans theme today. I love solid t-shirts because they are so versatile, but a striped tee is the next best thing. A striped tee is what I would consider a neutral; it can be worn with anything and any pattern as long as it is in the same color family. I found this navy striped tee the other day when I was ordering me a new white t-shirt for the summer months. (I like a new white tee every year) This tee is a fine knit tee, so it is more polished than most t-shirts. I am wearing a size medium, but I think that I would prefer a large so that I don’t have to worry about lumps and bumps showing. Here is the link to the shirt.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped t-shirt with a navy crochet cardigan and silver jewelryI love my geometric shaped earrings. They are the perfect length, and they have a modern style. These are the Easton Hoops in bright silver. Here is the link to the earrings. The bracelet that I am wearing is the Rue cuff. It is so dainty and cute, and I like that it can be adjusted after it slides on your arm. Here is the link to the cuff. The long silver necklace was a gift that I received from Rodan + Fields when I went to Nashville back in October. This was my first piece of Kendra Scott jewelry, and now I am hooked. I never thought that I would like this jewelry brand, but that is what happens when you make assumptions.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped t-shirt with a navy cardigan, chewed hem jeans, and leopard print flatsI am wearing the chewed hem jeans from Loft. These are a pair that I wore here, and here is a white pair that I wore earlier. I showed you a distressed pair on yesterday’s post that had lots of holes. They were too distressed for a lot of you, but this pair might work for you instead. These only have mild distressing at the hem, so you get to be part of a trend, but not have skin showing.

I am wearing a size 10 in these jeans, and they fit great. They are snug because they have a lot of stretch to them. Here is the link to these crop skinny jeans.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a striped shirt with a navy cardigan, chewed hem jeans, and leopard print flatsI added an open-weave navy cardigan to my outfit because I was chilly. The sun was shining for a change, but the wind was blowing, so I was cold. I am not sure how much warmth this type of sweater would be if it were cold, but for a tiny bit of coolness, it was fine. I’ve had this sweater for a while, so it isn’t available on the website any longer, but I found a couple that is similar.

The shoes that I have on are a pair from Old Navy that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I have found myself wearing them way more than I thought that I would. I like how easy they are to slip on, how stylish they are, how affordable they are, and how they spruce up any outfit. The size that I am wearing is my usual size 9, and here is the link to the shoes.

Love your daily emailes. How do I find the PDF for the recipes? I can’t find it.

  3. Either my iPad is wonky or there are no comments.

Anyway found a new thing to fill my day – take all my silver and silver colored jewelry and clean them with Tarnex.

Actually I’m in a similar location situation as you. The California economy has been slowly dying in the more industrial areas. Most manufacturers have shut down. We had a cannery, a paper mill, a steel company and a DuPont plant. All shuttered. Then the retailers started to leave. Of the ones still in business in other areas we lost JC Penney, Sears, and lastly Macy’s. Then the grocery stores started to shut. The immigrant population blossomed though, but they have their own food preferences and ethnic markets. Which do come in handy for some hard to find exotic things like Fish Sauce and tamale wrappers LOL. BUT what this means is a 15 mile each way trip to get groceries. Means two things. Being organized and planning ahead.

I’ve been trying to purge old clothes and I’ve fill loads of boxes and bags but they are rapidly taking up every spare space. This is not the time to purge.

I’m so glad I found your blog. It’s been a great inspiration. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting too and while only losing 7 or so scale pounds the inches off are amazing. I’ve literally pulled off pants without unzipping. Was in 14W and now in an 8 or 10 — mostly 10. Bought a pair of Chico’s size one regular denim without much spandex and did not need to lay on the bed on my back to zip them. Thought you’d relate and giggle at that.

Bravo for showing the muffin top! My DH who has one of his own called mine my spare tire. And my back fat love handles. Haha.

Praying for our country and the world and for you and Joe and your family. ?

    1. Your iPad must be wonky. Lol! The comments are showing on my end. ? Congratulations on losing weight. It is not an easy thing to do, especially in a time like now. I think a lot of us are stress eating, and the scales will show that before long.

  4. Thanks so much for the recipes, Tania–and everyone!!!!

    1. I hope that everyone enjoys the recipe.

  5. I love stripe tees. I have a black and white with a little detail of leather on the shoulder and a white solid with lace sleeves. Another ivory with pearl buttons on sleeves. Just small details bit it moves them up a notch from ordinary. You have a holy sweater! LOL

    1. It is great when we can shop from our closet!
