I AM CRAZY ABOUT GINGHAM
If you have grandchildren, then you know that they can talk you into almost anything. That was the case this past Saturday when Emersyn and I went to the park. But, later on, that afternoon after she got finished helping her dad wash cars, they came over to the house and we were all outside on the porch. It was beautiful on Saturday and the temperatures were really warm. Emersyn was running around in the yard and yelled out to me that she could do a cartwheel, “watch me NeeNee!”
She was adorable trying to do her cartwheel and then she started in on her daddy and mommy to do a cartwheel. Kayla was actually pretty good and Joseph looked a lot like Emersyn. Lol! I tried to sneak and video his attempt but he caught me and wasn’t having that. Then, it was NeeNee’s turn. Gurl’s, do you know how long it has been since I had even tried to do a cartwheel? Let’s just say that it has been a long time. Lol!!! Anyway, my attempt might have been very similar to Josephs and Emersyn’s but I made up for it when I showed her how to do a split. Yes, I can still do a split! The little rat plopped right down and did a perfect split. I was amazed at her and Joe was astonished at me. Hahahaha!
It looks like I am styling gingham again today. (Check out yesterday’s post also) I told you that I was seriously crushing on the gingham print and I have been for about 3 years. If I see something gingham it is like I don’t have the power to walk away. Lol! Maybe the checks are putting me into a trance. Anyway, I bought this cute gingham top the other day when I went shopping at Old Navy. I loved the banding around the top and even though it is made to wear off the shoulder, I chose to wear it up today just like a normal top. This gingham top is made from a cotton/rayon blend and it is machine washable which is a big plus! I bought the navy (like I did the tote) but it also comes in red.
I chose to wear the navy and white print with my white pants c/o Purple Poppy. I got these in January right before I went to Lake Oconee (see here) and I love, love, love how they fit. This is a pair by Lisette and I love that they have a tummy control panel in the front. That is worth its weight in gold!!! White pants are a staple in the summer and a classic that will not go out of style. If you don’t already own a pair, then you need to get a pair. You will wonder how you ever did without them.

Tania, HELP! With warm weather approaching (unless you live here in CT 38 degrees today!) can you recommend a good, supportive, and comfortable strapless bra? I’ve tried so many over the years and the girls are still pointing south! Your knees should not hit your breasts while you’re walking!
Love the shoes!! I’m for any nice pump with a pretty heel. I’m just not feeling those pumps with that outfit. Something just feels off. Perhaps if you had on a blouse with some of the colors in the shoes.
Super cute and so on point!!! I just picked up a super cute gingham top at Marshall’s!!! I love how you style this with those rocking shoes and earrings!!! Beautiful!
Tania you are such a fun lady (and NeeNee)! You look fantastic in that outfit!! Crisp and fresh.. ready for warm weather. Love the blouse and how you styled it!! Congrats on all your success! Enjoy Cancun!! Carla
Very cute outfit! And you look great from the front, back or side.
You are too sweet, Angelina!
