IT IS TIME TO PAMPER MY FEET
Okay, gurls, you know that my heel has been bothering me for the last few months. So, I had decided to try and pamper my heel, and a new pair of walking shoes was on my “to-do” list. Talk about timing, because that afternoon I received an email from Easy Spirit wanting to know if I would be interested in doing a post about their products. I think that I responded with a huge YES and maybe a few exclamation points. Lol!
The Rockie Walking shoes made the trip to Florida with me, and I have been wearing them the entire time that I have been here. They are perfect for your everyday activities like going to the grocery store or running errands, and you will do it all in comfort.
I love how these shoes feel, they are snug, but they are not tight. They have a dual-density insole for shock absorption and molded rubber outsole for durable traction.
I have been saying that I was going to start back walking and exercising, so what better time and place to put that into practice than here at the beach. We decided to go for a brisk walk, and my daughter made me do my stretches before we set out.
I even stretched after we got back from our walk.
If anyone needed a new pair of walking shoes, it was ME. I am going to be wearing these shoes when I get back home to help with my heel since I have hardwood floors. I got in 2.4 miles yesterday on my walk, and my heel was not in any pain. These shoes are AWESOME! But, because I will also be needing “fashion” shoes, I had to see if Easy Spirit had anything that would fit into that category. Woohoo! Here are just a few shoes that I found.
When I got back to Virginia, I went into gardening mode. I love playing in the flowerbeds because it calms my soul, and beautifies my home.
I love picking a bouquet of peonies for my table when they are in bloom.
So, if any of you ladies are like me and you need to get moving, then you need to grab yourself a pair of these walking shoes. It doesn’t matter if you are running errands, gardening, or taking a walk, these shoes have got you covered. What do you #movefor?

Those trainers look very comfortable. Next set of photo’s will show you in the gym 🙂 – Regards Jill stylishatsixty

Those shoes are really cute, and they look good on the feet. I have a pair of Easy Spirit sport thong sandals that are several years old. They are THE BEST. I wish they still made new ones just like the ones I have because after wearing them in the yard and all around in all weather they are looking a little worn out, but they do wonderful things for my feet. I didn’t know a thong sandal could make feet feel better, but these do. Love them!
‘Morning, Tania!
At the age of 76, the best advice I can give you is: TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR FEET! I am of the generation of pointy-toed, 3″ heels! Loved wearing heels! And I’ve paid for it! I haven’t been able to wear heels for maybe 15 years or so! For a long time, I had to wear New Balance 24/7 – horrid when you want to get dressed up! Especially as I wear a 12N – looked like clown shoes. I now wear SAS Tour Mesh Walking Sneakers – much sleeker in design. I can wear other shoes and sandals, but must be very careful as to choice. Also, I must wear a ‘Power Step’ insole for more support in the SAS, but not in other shoes.
I highly recommend you see a podiatrist immediately! I totally agree with Liz Dicamillo about the possibility of plantar fasciitis – I’ve had that also – I wore custom-made inserts for a year or so, and then mine also disappeared – haven’t had it for years now.
Another brand I highly recommend would be Munro Shoes – they are pricey, but they are VERY well-made! Even when brand new, they feel like I’ve been wearing them – watch out for shoes that feel like you need to ‘break them in’ – never good!
Bottom line: while I am way past wanting to cry about my limited shoe choices, I still hate it! And you can prevent that from happening to you….
Are they true to size? I really need a good pair of walking shoes!
Yes, Suzette, these ran true to size. I am wearing a 9 which is my normal size.
I’m SO glad you found comfy shoe that doesn’t hurt your heel! 2.4 mi. is a great walk! I just found a super new shoe company that has really cute dress shoes for us fashionistas w feet issues called The Walking Shoe. Check them out too.
These shoes have already made a difference in my heel. I just need to keep wearing them, especially in the house.
You have peonies and clematis just like me. Mine just different color. Peonies are my favorite. Yours are beautiful. If you decide to divide it let me know. I’ll take a piece. Like the walking shoes. I just got a new pair myself. Different brand but sounds like they are very similar. I wear them a lot.
Johnna, come to Grundy and I’ll give you a start of mine. I don’t play with them near enough anymore.
Tania, you may have the start of plantar fasciitis. It is a tightening of the connective tissue that runs from the toes to the heel. I endured the pain of this for 6 years until it finally resolved itself. Please read up on it, do the stretches every morning and throughout the day and you may be able to avoid it getting too bad. Trust me, you don’t want the severe case I had. Wear your sneakers, or anything with a good arch as much as you can to help stretch your arch. And don’t walk around in bare feet. Hope you heal quickly.
I have been trying to stretch every morning since that is when I notice that it bothers me. But, since I have been trying to wear these shoes in the house, and not walk around barefooted, I can already see a difference.
I suffer from chronic plantar fasciitis as well, and while not ideal, the cortisone shot is a miracle. It is very painful to get the shot, but by the next day I have zero pain. It lasts about a year for me, when I am in a flare up. Luckily the pain has been minimal recently and I haven’t needed a shot in awhile. Highly recommend it though, to be pain free!
I have worn these for years. So comfortable and good quality.
I agree, Cheryl! I was needing a good pair of walking shoes and these are perfect!
Hi Tania, Those Easy Spirit sneakers look so comfortable. It is important to wear the right shoes to keep our feet strong and healthy. Hope your heel will continue to feel good. Happy walking!!
Claudine, until you have an issue with your feet, you don’t know how important that it is. Now I know!
Hi, Tania. After a nasty case of plantar fasciitis a few years ago, Easy Spirit became my go-to brand of footwear. Rather I’m wearing their athletic or dressier shoes-they even have some heels-my feet are always well-supported. Those sneakers are really cute and I already have the capris and tee in the same colors as yours. Hmmm-maybe that’s a sign for me to head to their website.
Nancy, I am so glad to hear that you turned to Easy Spirit also. They really have been nice to wear for all of my errands, and my heel doesn’t seem to be bothering me as much.
