JEWEL TONES FOR FALL
Whew, this has been a busy last few days. Thanksgiving was wonderful but tiring too. I may sleep like Rip Van Winkle Saturday. Then Black Friday hit and that was exhausting too. I spent a huge amount of time doing my shopping for three girls that I “adopted” on the Angel Tree. The ages of the girls were between 6 and 9 which is a pretty easy age group to buy for. They send out a list of the items and sizes that they need.
I try to get everything on the list for each of them. I found each of them 2 outfits with one of them being blue jeans, a pair of pajamas, a toboggan and gloves, a puffer jacket, a pair of ankle boots, and then the toys that they were asking for. It is a good thing that I have young granddaughters or I would have been lost when they ask for Monster High and Shopkins. Lol! When I got to the register and they told me the total of everything I simply whipped out my R+F card and paid for everything with that. I am super blessed that and it feels good to help those who are struggling. I hope that one day each of them will be in the position to help someone else out who is in need. #PayItForward
I wore this gold swing or A-line dress to Church this past Sunday. I love the burnished gold color which is the perfect color or the leaves that we did have. They have already fallen off of the trees but they were this color for about 2 weeks. I like pairing the jewell tone fall colors (gold, deep blue, wine, and dark green) together since they will all match each other. Today I decided that the gold would look great with the blue cardigan.
I don’t have a ton of jewelry on today but I did wear the Stacey earrings from Plunder. I liked the Aurora Borealis rhinestones on the earrings and I thought they matched the Lizzy cross really well. I wore this checked infinity scarf from Cato to bring the blue and gold colors together. You can see in the scarf that the wine color would have gone really well with this too.
I know, I know. Let me guess, you don’t like the tights. Tough! I was cold and I refuse to wear pants to Church. I did ask Joe what he thought before we left and he gave me the thumbs up. I really just think he didn’t want me running back to change clothes. Lol! Anyway, I love these Isaac Mizrahi suede ankle boots with the gold buckle detail. I have them in this color and also in burgundy/wine. The height of them is lower than a lot of my booties but I really like how they are a little shorter.
I must have really liked this color blue because I ended up with three cardigans in almost the exact same color. Lol! My mother will probably get one of them so she will be happy. I think the Kate Spade purse that I carry a lot started me on this blue craze. I hardly ever wore blue before even though I love the color. I would buy shirts in blue but then never put them on. Doing the blog has helped me to get out of my comfort zone also.
I am still doing my thankful alphabet. Lisa told me that they went around the table at Thanksgiving and did this exercise. That really warmed my heart. It made me feel like I was part of their Thanksgiving. I did “K” and “L” the last two days so I am on “M” today. Mother, of course, comes first to mind for me. Then I thought of money, mountains, and memory. The memory might be in question most of the time. Lol! Today I got a message from someone who had placed an order with my Lash Boost special. I had several take me up on that deal and I sent out all of the refund checks earlier in the week. Apparently at least two of them ended up in the wrong envelopes. Whoops!!! I had good intentions but not the best execution. Lol!
Today is Small Business Saturday. Shop your Mom and Pop stores and that includes people like me. If you know of friends who sell products then buy from them and see the profits go to someone you know and not a huge corporation today. I will send you a refund check for 1/2 the price of the Lash Boost! Dang good deal!!! Remember, this must be made as a PC purchase to qualify.

Love all the great colors in this outfit !!! I always took my kids to pick from the Angel tree and they loved helping someone. My M word is MomMom! We just had our first grandchild this year? Have a great weekend Tania!
I say, “Marvellous!” You look so well put together! I love your outfit! Love the tights, but maybe not that color with that color dress. I think it’s hard to put a color with that color dress!
Like this look.
You are right.. ..the tights stopped me but only because of colour. I wonder if a royal or burgundy tight would work. Love the earrings!
I looked but I didn’t have any other color tights except for a dark brown pair. I “need” to buy some more colors. Lol!
I like all of those colors, and your leggings don’t look bad! ?
Awww, thanks, Lezlie! ?
Great colors and you know us well…not a fan of the tights for some reason. M for marriage for me. I will Be married 40 years next year and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner (just glad he doesn’t read this blog or he would say I have a funny way of showing it ?) love yellow, blue and gold combo, don’t you miss the leaves already? I wish fall was 6 months long…have a great day!
Marriage is a great one, Cristina!!! Congratulations on such a long marriage. Joe will tell me he loves me sometimes and I will say, “Act like it then.” He usually gets the point. Lol!
You look cute and comfy!
Thanks, Laura. I was comfy, not too sure about the cute part. Lol!
Love the colors not sure about the tights though.
M – definitely Mother!
M – Mountains we’re only an hour drive from Lake Tahoe. What a gorgeous drive through those mountain roads.
Mountains are all around me, Kathryn. Look up the BREAKS Interstate Park. It is called the Grand Canyon of the South. That is where I live.
I took my Mom Black Friday shopping yesterday. The only crowd we ran in to was at Kohl’s, and they had an hour and a half wait. Needless to say, we did not need anything that bad! LOL
I missed out on K and L, but I am very thankful for my miniature dachshund Kaiser. My life would be empty without him. I am thankful for Life and loved ones. M would definitely be my mom. I am thankful for my mom. Another M would be movies.
Have a wonderful day.?
Gina, I hope your mom is a better shopping partner than mine. Every time I would pick something up she would tell me that I don’t need that. Lol! She was right of course but heck, I still wanted it. Hahaha!
Love the colors, not excited about the tights. The scarf looks like it would be very versatile, great with jeans. M is for my granddaughter Maddie who is celebrating her 8th birthday, and also my great state of Michigan.
I wasn’t excited about the tights either, but I was cold. That won out. Lol!!!
I like the colors in the scarf because it can be worn with so many things…very versatile. My “M” words are Mother, My Mind (especially watching my Father with Dementia) and Mountains. ~Lisa~
I hate dementia. It is such a cruel disease. My great aunt had Alzheimers and it was like watching her life being erased on a chalkboard. That is why I am so conscious of my memory. I am saying a prayer for your father.
