LINEN IS THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR SUMMER
Let’s face it gurls, it get’s HOT in the summer months! And, even though fall is just around the corner, the month of August can be one of the hottest months of the year. So, while the stores are transitioning to all the latest fashions for the upcoming fall and winter season we are still in the sweltering heat.
Linen is one of the wonderful ways you can survive the heat. Not everyone likes to show their legs. I can see a few raised hands, and I thought I heard an amen or two, on that statement. I personally like ankle pants and capri pants, but I can understand that those who are petite struggle with that style. Jeans are almost always too hot, unless it is nighttime, so what are we to do?
Enter the linen pant. In the past, linen pants where more a dress pant style. What comes to mind for me, is the “elite” and the “rich” wearing those crisp linen pants on their yacht’s and strolling down the boardwalk. For us everyday gurls, the linen of old was just too hard to wear. We went to work for a living, and we actually sat down occasionally, and those horrible wrinkles made us look disheveled. Now the easy, breezy, linen pants are made with the wrinkles already in them. They are supposed to look this way! Woohoo! This is a great improvement. I can wear this style, I can sit in this style, and I look stylish in my wrinkles. The pant’s wrinkles, not the ones on my face. Lol!
Another way to keep cool this summer, is with the tank style top. I love this one, it has several design elements that I like. It has wider straps, making it easier to hide your bra straps. It has lots of material, as it is made similar to a swing style dress. This style hides a multitude of tummy issues. AND, this lace hem is so cute!!!

They each have a different saying on a plaque. They say, Pray, Faith, and Amazing Grace. The other two bracelets are by Plunder Design Jewelry, and they are the Feather and Pearl and the Zandra. You ladies who have purchased some of the Plunder jewelry, let me know what you think. I love my plunder, it is so affordable. I have an August contest running with Plunder. EVERYONE who places an order from Plunder through me in the month of August, will be entered in for a $25.00 Plunder gift certificate. You can buy a bracelet, and you will be entered into the contest. To shop with me, here is the website: http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens Try copying and pasting this in the address line, and hopefully it will work. If not, then type in my stylist number 241007 in the stylist box at checkout. I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout also. Several of you ladies have already taken me up on this offer. Good Luck!
I bought these linen pants earlier this year at Belk’s. I have worn them several times. Take a look at here, here, and here at the different ways I have worn these pants this year. However, did you notice the similarities? Every outfit in styled with beige. I have now been given a challenge. I am going to try to style these pants again before winter hits with a color. I already have something in mind, now to just see if it will work.

I know that some don’t like their legs to show, and just as many don’t like their arms to show. Here is a solution to the problem. Put on a topper, a cardigan, or a light jacket. Since it is still so hot, this open weave long cardigan, will still allow your arms to be covered and let you still be as cool as possible. I use this cardigan for double duty. It serves as a beach coverup, as well as a cardigan. Two uses for on item, or as we refer to this: it’s a twofer.
Lace Cover-Up: Similar | Red | PlusI didn’t wear a necklace, but instead opt’d for a summer scarf. This one is light mint, and it matches my yesterday’s post cover picture perfectly. Lol! The outfit needed color, and I thought a necklace wouldn’t bring enough to the look. This scarf is really cute. It has the diamond design that runs lengthwise, and then it has lots of tassels. I wore it with pink here, and it looked really nice.

I am carrying my Coach limited edition ladybug tote again today. This little tote is adorable, and I know several of you purchased it the last time I showed it. Here, here, and here are three different chances for you to purchase the tote from Ebay. The prices range from 39.99 to 49.99, depending on the seller. Be sure to pay attention to shipping costs, and also check out the seller’s feedback.

Linen IS the perfect choice for summer! So breathy and lovely. I wish I had an entire linen wardrobe.
That mauve color is so pretty on you!
Whoo, fantastic cardigan!
I love that tank – so adorable!
Love this look! So breezy and chic. And you hair is amazing today!!!!
You are adorable…love this look.
Tania have ever done a blog on shoes? specially what the core shoe wardrobe should be for summer fall winter? I realize it depends on where you live etc but I find I have too many black shoes and not enough sandals. I am not a shoe lover and I wear a 10 which can be challenging as well. My thing is purses. I so was going to buy that coach bag but we are getting out of debt and my husband asked is this a need or a want? He’s right. So back to the core shoe wardrobe. I’m obviously not buying boatloads of shoes so I am looking for guidance.
Tania, so lovely! Great tank, scarf, and bag. I subscribed fairly recently, and as I looked at some older posts yesterday, I noticed you look thinner and fabulous lately! Keep doing what you’re doing it looks fabulous!
Love the bag, too. I purchased it on Ebay after seeing one of your recent posts.
What a fabulous look – you look cool as sumner breeze. I love everything about this outfit that you have put together. Really enjoy your blog. ?
Thanks Pat! Will you be setting up at Conference?
Unfortunately, no. No one contacted us about setting up as a vendor. Good luck with your workshop!
Absolutely beautiful!
So feminine! You look stunning and refreshingly cool, hard to do in the heat. Best blog ever!
Thanks Barb. I love all the adjectives!
Oh my goodness, I love love love this outfit. Certainly agree with you about linen; I’m wearing a pair of linen pants right now! I love all the parts of this outfit. Wish I could get the exact coverup and scarf, am still looking. I might get the lace top, I’ve wanted one for a while now. Thanks for sharing Tania; have a very happy Monday and a great week. I know you are excited about your trip; it’s going to be tons of fun for you all.
Tania- Love the scarf added vs. a necklace. It is a great color on you
I love everything you style! I have never heard of “Umgee”, but started shopping for that brand online. I was wondering, how do the sizes run? I would normally wear a medium or 8-10. I’m alittle busty, and I like for my clothes to be a bit flowy, not to snug. Thanks for you help! Debbie S.
I generally wear a size 10 in most things, or a large. I don’t like my clothing to show my lumps ad bumps. This top is a large and it fits perfect.
I really like the tank and you probably can use it for fall as well when layering your tops. ~Lisa~
Oh my, what a lovely outfit! Ice cream colours, so flattering and floaty. Super.
Very nice colors! I never liked linen for the wrinkling but boughtva linen dress when I thought it would be And I love it now! It wears really great when it is hot!

Oh wow Tania – I love this look and the pastel colours make it even more special. I’m just back from Dubai and they would have been perfect to wear there too.
