A LOOK AT A VINTAGE FASHION SHOW

I am FINALLY back in Virginia after a long weekend away. Joe is beginning to feel like he doesn’t have a wife since I have been gone two weekends in a row. The sad part is that I am supposed to go out of town again this coming weekend for a birthday party for my grandbabies that live in Tennessee. He is not going to be a happy camper.My sister tells me that I am too nice. She says that her husband doesn’t mind if she is gone out of town. She swears that the minute she says she needs to go somewhere that he starts packing for her. Lol! I am sure that is not the case, but it is kind of funny. JD is a wonderful guy, and he treats my sister like a queen. He was extremely accommodating to me and Sandy, plus my mom and her friend Donna. We were like locus that swarm your house and take over your beds. I bet they slept all day yesterday just trying to recover.I am standing in front of one of the buildings at the Winnwood Retirement facility. It is a gorgeous facility with beautiful grounds. I bought this top at a local boutique in town and decided to wear it since it had a vintage vibe. I got lots of compliments on the top, so it was a hit. The pearl dangle necklace I have on is one that I bought years ago at a vintage fashion show. It has been one of my favorite purchases. I like pearls and I like dangles, this necklace has it all.
I bought this bangle at an estate sale on Saturday morning. In fact, I bought 6 bangles at the estate sale. They were 3.00 each but on Saturday they were 1/2 price. I am a BIG spender. Lol!These sparkly bracelets are by Plunder Design. I didn’t really think I would wear either of them much, but I have worn both of them several times. See here, and here. The clear one is the Hugo, and the black one is the Ezra which is already sold out. The star of this outfit was the shoes. I LOVE these cute little Corra black patent leather Mary Janes that Rialto shoes sent to me. I took these to Las Vegas with me also, and I wore them to the Great Gatsby party. Unfortunately, it was too hard to lug my camera and tripod on the trip, so I didn’t get any pictures.
These shoes are about as feminine as it comes. The shine of the leather plus the adorable bow is too adorable. The bow is already tied for you so you don’t have to worry about keeping the bow-tied and it looking good. There is some elastic under the bow so you just slip you foot into the shoe. I ordered a size 9 which is what I usually wear, but if I was ordering again, I might get a 9 1/2. I wore these all day long and they didn’t bother me at all but they were snug.Here were just a few pictures from the fashion show. I couldn’t take pictures and write up the tickets as items sold at the same time. The picture of the young girl in the 70’s patchwork skirt is Rachel, my sister’s daughter. She did a fantastic job modeling!I had a wonderful time at the fashion show. I sold some of my items that I no longer wear, so I ended up making more money than I spent.
