Some of you have asked about my new doggie, so I thought I would give you a Lucy Lu update. Lucy Lu was a stray that was around my house for three days before I finally caught her. She has adapted to her new home really well. Potty training has been pretty much a breeze, except when Joe had to watch her over the weekend, when I was in Tennessee. He is not the best at managing a dog’s potty schedule. Haha We sure are going through a lot of puppy pads though, if one dog uses the pad, then the other one has to go right behind that one and mark their spot. It is comical when they go outside to potty, poor Beckley has Lucy Lu right on his heels. He goes, then she goes, then he goes, and then she goes. It takes forever to get them to quit and come in the house.
Also, since we had no idea what her name WAS, she is just now starting to come when I yell “Lucy.” She is more of a wanderer than Beckley, that might be how she came to my house, so you really have to watch her closely when they are outside. The first day I was gone to Tennessee, Joe lost her. He looked and yelled till he had given up, but thankfully my son found her down the street. After that, I think her outside time was very limited.
She is also still very scared when anyone makes a quick movement. If you just walk past her quickly, she will sometimes yelp. It is pitiful the way she acts if you go to pet her too quickly. I hate to think someone was mean to her, she is just too sweet, but it makes me wonder. I hope she eventually gets over her fear. Are you sick and tired of me wearing yellow? These pants are not technically yellow, I am going with mustard. Haha I was shopping one day and when I walked into New York & Company, this shirt was on a mannequin. I knew I would be not be leaving the store without it . I love this shirt! I like the color, the print, and the style. It has 3/4 length sleeves and a nice little cuff. I looked on their website, but couldn’t find the shirt, so here are ones that I did find.
The mustard pants are by Banana Republic. If you are someone who cannot wear yellow because of your skin tone, then wearing the color in a pant would work for you. I love yellow and blue together, they are happy colors. I have on a print top, but a solid shirt would work just as well. Here are some yellow pants.
Here are plus size options.
The white cable-knit sweater is really old. I bought it probably 5 years ago at TJ Maxx. My sister-in-law were shopping one day, and when we left the store, we found that we both bought the same cardigan. Here are a couple similar cardigans.
How do you like these shoes? These are Marc Fisher and they are now on sale. I like the gold rings and the cork platforms. I paid 25.00 for mine at the outlet, but they are on sale on QVC for 37.86, AND these are leather. A really good deal.
How cute is this cobalt blue tote? I bought it before Christmas at Marshall’s for a whopping 13.99. Sometimes a small purchase can make a big statement. You don’t always have to spend a fortune to look great. This one is very similar, and at a great price.
The dress I wore on Sunday’s post was from Ann Taylor. Here is a similar one. The linen jacket is old, and it is an Ann Taylor also. Here is how I wore it the last time. The ankle boots are Marc Fisher, and they are on sale.
