Monochromatic Dressing
Alright you lushes, it looks like the drunken snowman is staying. Lol! I appreciate all the comments that you made about the snowman, and you are right about him looking vintage. I bet that is why I bought him years ago. He has a sneaky look about him that I find appealing.
My son looked at me this morning as said, “You sure look beige today”. I was not exactly going for that look. Besides, it’s camel, not beige. Haha I am wearing a Talbots camel hair blazer. It is many years old, but it still looks good as new. The shirt is also from Talbots, and I love the print. The two items go together fabulously, although they were bought years apart. Here is a similar blazer, but this one is waaaay more expensive.
Look at me, I have actually layered necklaces. Actually it is only two necklaces, but it is a start. The spiky looking necklace was one I bought for 15.00, at the craft fair we held a couple weeks ago, from a boutique called Mountain Primadonna. The other necklace is from Chloe & Isabel and is called the Atlas Three-Row Convertible necklace. I won that one!!!
The purse is the one from Van Heusen that I carried yesterday. Here is a similar one. The boots are a pair I bought at TJ Maxx years ago. The inside of these boots are completely fur lined, even on the bottom. Mine say, Made in Italy, but here is a pair from Talbots.
The pants are Rockstar Mid-Rise from Old Navy and I love the color. They fit me so tight, I would almost call them leggings. I believe the snowman is checking me out from behind. Lol!
This is kind of a monochromatic look. Other than a small amount of color from the shirt, it is all in the same color palette. I tend to like dressing this way, but I have worried that it made me look dated. I decided instead of a dated look, it is a classic look. I hope you agree with me.

Hi! My name is Chelsea and I found you on Pinterest. I love your blog. I love your outfits and I am 31:) I am always looking for ways to look put together and you’re nailing it! I think we have the same coloring (autumn) I would love to know what lipstick you wear, the bright one, in this picture. Thanks and I look forward to your posts:)
Blessings,
Chelsea
I am so glad you found me, Chelsea. I always wear lip stains.I hate having to reapply lipstick throughout the day. That one is Maybelline 24 hr color stay. Here is the link to it on Amazon.

Very classic look! I go with basic black and gray; it compliments my complesion and hair color. You look fabulous! And can you ever go wrong with classic well made clothing?
Ya, that snowman looks like he wants to get something going with you. LOL. I say you need to give him the cold shoulder. The beige looks super nice on you. talbots always has some great choices… just bought a shirt and sweater there last week. xo
You look TANTASTIC! (Works with tan, and Tania.) 🙂 xoxo
You look stunning! Had to pin the outfit plus separate pins for the boots (yes!) and the bag. I do believe the snowman is checking you out. Good thing he doesn’t have hands. Ha! P.S. Your manicure with perfect with this outfit.
I just love that blouse and this look is office worthy and something that I like to say, “the nuns would approve of.” I work for a Catholic hospital and have to look the part e’vry day.
I wondered where the “nun approved look” was going. Haha I now understand the connection
You did a great job of taking these classic pieces and making them look fresh with the necklaces and boots. The quality of Talbots clothes is excellent and the styles are so classic they last forever. Question: how are your By the Book bracelets holding up? I ordered some for gifts but their were no reviews so I hope the charms don’t come off. Snowman looks very pleased with your look. 🙂
Sharon, the bracelets are doing great. I have worn then several times. I am wearing two of them daily, as extra reminders that I am needing right now????
