Talbots is one of my favorite retailers, and as many of you know, it’s one of my husband’s favorite brands for me to wear as well! They have such a classic and timeless style, and their clothing is constructed with high-quality materials making their pieces so comfortable, durable, and easy to care for. I find that Talbots clothing flatters a variety of body types and I really like that they offer a wide range of sizes (including plus sizes).

When they have a sale, I love to stock up! Here are some of my Memorial Day sale picks from Talbots. These timeless pieces will be summer staples in your closet for years to come.

My Memorial Day Sale Picks from Talbots

Twist Hem Shirt

This classic striped shirt is casual, yet put together. The twist hem is a unique detail that can be very slimming. I would style it with denim, chino shorts, or white pants for a chic summer vibe.

Modern Poplin Smocked Dress

This cool, crisp cotton poplin dress is a blank canvas for whatever accessories you choose to wear with it. A white handbag and white sandals would be cute, or you could do a pop of color! This would look great for a girl’s lunch or a casual date night with the hubby.

Slim Ankle Jean

I have been wearing jeans from Talbots for years, and I am always impressed with the fit and quality. I especially love that this pair has an invisible slimming panel. I usually wear a size 8 in Talbot’s jeans.

Blossom Garden Shell Top

A colorful blouse like this shell top has so many beautiful colors you can pull from when you are putting together an outfit. A green or blue earring or an orange handbag will really make this blouse pop! I can see myself wearing this top with white or navy shorts this summer.

Floral Belted Voile Maxi Dress

Belted dresses are fabulous for accentuating the smallest part of your waist! How pretty is this floral print for summer? This dress would look adorable with the white washed linen jacket I wore last week.

Contrast Embroidered Sleeve Popover

I am so happy to see so many bright colors like this fuchsia and chartreuse this year! I would pair this top with a hot pink handbag or earring, a pair of white pants, and dressy sandals.

Smocked Poplin Midi Dress

If you’re looking for a new dress for church, the office, or just everyday life, check out this marigold midi dress. The sleeve length and hemline allow you to easily transition this piece into the fall with boots. The dress is also available in black if the marigold one is too bright.

Effortless Jersey Square Neck Top

While I love a good tee shirt, this feels like a classic and timeless alternative to wear with your shorts and pants this summer. I love the chicness of the navy stripe, but it also comes in a pink stripe, as well as an orange.

Eyelet Medallion Shirt Dress

Just like a little black dress, I think there’s a place in every woman’s wardrobe for a little white dress. This eyelet medallion dress is crisp, flattering, and perfect for summer!

Pleated Poplin Shell Top

I love the feminine details on this shell top. It would be so pretty tucked into a pencil skirt, paired with trousers, or even with denim. Would you wear this bright orange top?

  1. I love, love, love Talbots! Their clothes are classic, which is just my style.

  2. Tania,

Thank you for the blog and all the beautiful outfits you share! I love to shop at Talbots…. Very classy and timeless. Have a blessed Memorial Day holiday!
P.S. I have no idea about the TV 😊

  3. Hi, I would love to have you comment. When you are just showing a style (but not on you) often the reviews are not favorable. That is the case with this post from Talbots for some of the items. How do you decide?
    Happy Memorial Day.

    1. Kathy, I look at reviews, but only for sizing. I learned a long time ago that people who love something rarely comment, but those who are unhappy for any reason are shouting with a bullhorn. I prefer to make up my own mind. If everyone is saying something is thin, then I can figure out that it is thin. However, I might be happy with a thin item, so take everything with a grain of salt.

I love Talbots too! I really like their classic style and how they make it easy to coordinate wardrobes.

  5. Twilight Zone tv. Yes, we are sitting at dinner and the television in the bedroom well suddenly decide to start playing. It wasn’t turned off it was on pause. But it happens randomly now and then. Why doesn’t it do it everyday? or never?

  6. Jennifer H. says:

Hi Tania, Is your t.v. an LG by chance? Just the other day a friend was telling me she was having trouble with an LG t.v. and amongst other issues the brand has been having, there are reports of t.v.’s turning on by themselves. I haven’t seen any of these reports myself but it may be worth checking out!

    1. No, mine is the Samsung Frame TV. It stays on all the time with a photo, but not a tv show.

  7. I noticed people remark on things I don’t see when I read your blog. Is some content only for subscribers?

    1. Janie, people who are subscribers receive a daily email from me that has stories about my life, daily finds, etc. in it. Those things don’t show up on the blog.

  8. sue koren says:

I plan on going to my local Talbots store this weekend!-

  9. Love everything however, I find Talbots to have high prices for my budget. I still appreciate these pics as I can try to find same in a lessor price

  10. If you pvr on your tv and had paused a show…then went to bed and forgot about it, the pause only lasts so long and then it turns the tv back on.
Talbots is one of the few stores that get featured on US influencers pages that we get here in Canada. There aren’t a lot of them and I don’t have one close but at least its possible 🙂
There is actually a Talbots outlet about an hour away that I often have very good luck at.

    1. We have never watched that channel before, and didn’t have the TV on at all that day. I know my mom had this issue, but someone had set a timer for the TV to come on at the same time each night. We already checked for that.

  11. Glada St Clair says:

Do you have a cat or dog? Maybe the weight of the paper caused the remote to turn on over a proud of time. Sounds q little Poltergeistist to me. I would pray for God to protect you from any evil or fear Satan may want to scare you with.

  12. Tania, it’s hard for me to figure out what is from Talbots with so many other ads mixed in. It’s confusing.

    1. Fern, I totally understand. However, I wouldn’t be able to do my blog without the ads. Blogging is expensive, and the ads allow me to bring my daily content to everyone.

  13. I love all the clothes today! I love the bright orange top, but would never wear it. I don’t show my arms, but I think it would be pretty with a navy ankle pant or shorts.

  14. My husband loves me in Talbots clothes also. Can never go wrong with that classic timeless brand. I have that black shirt dress, so becoming.

    Mystery about he tv. Yikes.

  15. My husband loves me in Talbots clothes also. Can never go wrong with that classic timeless brand. I have that black shirt dress, so becoming.

  16. I shopped Talbots over 10 years ago. I always forget about going back to see their clothing. I love love the floral maxi dress. Hopefully it will be in the store.

  17. Ginger Hiller says:

Very interesting story about the tv being on in the wee hours of the morning. One of your angels needed to relax a little 😉. You shared some very pretty items at Talbots. As much as I like the dresses with a tie at the waist, I find that that particular style always makes my midsection and backside look even larger, which is not what I want to do. Do you have any suggestions for wearing dresses with a fabric belt/tie? I do hope that Joe’s back is improving and that he’s able to sleep being on the steroids.

    1. Ginger, tie belts can be a challenge. I try to tie them tight, and to have extra material blouson above the belt if possible. Sometimes I remove them altogether, or use a stretch wide belt instead.
