PERFECT FALL OUTFIT

The countdown has started! It is now THREE days until Thanksgiving, and that means that it is FOUR days until Black Friday shopping starts. We all know that Black Friday shopping is the “official” start to the Christmas shopping season and for a shopaholic like me, it is a national holiday. It is also only THIRTY-SIX more days until Christmas!!! ?The countdown until the arrival of my daughter, Alaska Ashleigh, has stopped. She is en route right now and will be here before the end of today!!! I am so excited to have her finally home, and I can’t wait for all of you to meet her. I think that I will have “her” be a part of my Friday video so that all of you can meet Joe in a female body. She has a lot of my facial features, but she has his coloring and his temperament. I remember thinking that I would have this little girlie girl that was into hair, makeup, and fashion. Instead, I have an independent, headstrong, fishing, shooting, and cussing daughter and I wouldn’t change it for the world. This look is what I call, “the perfect fall outfit.” Do any of you agree with me? I even got a few of the fall colored leaves in the background to help with my argument. This cashmere cocoon cardigan oozes coziness and comfort. This cardigan is an old one from Isaac Mizrahi, and I still love the shawl collar and the ribbing along the edges. Cashmere is a timeless fabric, and it is one that will last you for years. Black Friday is a perfect time to get yourself something nice at great savings. Good luck to you!

I took these photos last week, and I am finally getting them on the blog. But, wouldn’t you know that the necklace that I have on has now sold out. The necklace was a part of this month’s Plunder Posse, and for those who are signed up on the monthly subscription service, you will love it! Even though I tried to get a good close up view of the material you still can’t see it very good. It looks like twine around the beads, and it is the perfect color for fall. The good news is that you can still sign up for the Posse, but you will receive something different instead of this necklace. And, you can still get these earrings since they were not a part of the Posse set. These are the Meg earrings, and I like them because of the mustard colored tassel. There will be Black Friday specials from Plunder. But, because I only put their jewelry on the blog, they would be sold out before I could get the special to you. YOU can find the specials though by simply logging on the website throughout the day (normally they load them a few at a time all day long) and click on the specials tab. This handbag is the star of today’s post. The leather leopard print haircalf is courtesy of Sharif 1827 Handbags. I love everything about this bag from the luxurious leather and haircalf print to the unique handles and the bright purple lining. This handbag is all about luxury, and the look and feel of the materials are amazing. Sharif has been designing handbags for over 40 years and uses genuine leather and exotic skins in their designs. The handbag opens to a large tote with lots of pockets to keep all of your items in place. I like a front zipper compartment on my handbags so that I can slip a phone or some money into and not have to go digging in my purse every time I need something. And, this particular purse comes with a matching wristlet pouch. This wristlet is quite a bit larger than most, and I like that you can carry this when you want to go shopping without all of the bulk and weight of a loaded down purse. I love that option, especially at Christmas. Tell the hubby that you have found your gift this year, and they don’t have to worry about it. LOL! That will make them very happy! My knee-high riding boots by Marc Fisher match the leather of the handbag. The riding boots help to give this outfit a more casual feel, and that was the look that I was going after. Knee boots are my shoe of choice in the fall and winter months. I love the look that a knee boot gives you, and I like that I don’t have to worry about my ankles getting cold. Lol! A lot of you ask me about whether I wear socks with my boots and the answer is, no. The only time that I will wear socks is when it is FREEZING, and I want a little extra warmth or if the boot is too big or too tight. When the boot is too tight, I will wear a very thin dress sock to help my foot slide into the boot better, and when the boot is too big, I will wear a thick pair of socks to help the boot fit better.
