I occasionally have readers ask me how I pick out an outfit. I could tell you that I pick out the outfit the night before, try on all the pieces, and lay out the accessories, but I would be lying. LolTime management is not my strong suit. I usually leave work between 5 and 6. If we are not busy I leave at 5, and if I have a lot of work, then I stay till 6. Fixing supper is the first thing I need to start as soon as I get home. After supper is fixed, and we have eaten and picked up the kitchen, it is usually around 8. Then it is time to start the blog post, and that can take me from 1 to 2 hours. But, you guys are worth it. Lol! So I pick out my outfits in the morning. I go into my closet, and stand and stare in hopes that something jumps out at me. I always start with a top. This morning I picked out this olive green top that I bought at Marshall’s while out Christmas shopping. I bought it to wear with a pair of camo pants that I bought. But when I wore the pants here, I decided on a different top. After the top was chosen, I then decided on a pair of pants. I chose a light beige pair of corduroy pants that I bought at Maurice’s a couple years ago. Here is a pair that I really like from Amazon. Both the top and the pants are neutral colors. These boots are a couple of years old, but they are probably still my favorite pair I own. They are a quality pair of boots, and I bought mine at T. J. Maxx. The inside of these boots are completely fur-lined, even on the bottom. Mine says, Made in Italy, but here is a pair that is similar. This top doesn’t show that it is a high-low style. That type style makes it hard to wear with a jacket or blazer. The tail hangs down in the back and looks strange. Instead, I chose to wear this long maroon duster with cutouts. The duster is from Cato’s but it is no longer on the website. Here is a similar one, just in a different color. If I had left the outfit with just these pieces, it would have been fine but boring. Next comes the spice, aka accessories. This is a handmade crochet scarf that I purchased at the craft fair I organized in November. I bought one in this color, and one that is dark brown, for 15.00 each. I really like that this scarf is so different, you won’t see another one as you walk down the street. I like items that are different and have character. Just like me! Hahaha
You might have noticed a new design to the website. I hope you like the new look, and that you are able to navigate its features easily. The comment section is at the very end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.
