50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERN In case you were wondering, I still have not managed to get to the nail salon. Lol! If I don’t get there today I swear I am just going to cut them off! I would rather not have nails as to have them look so bad. I had lunch today with my Energizer Bunny Friend and she looked at my nails and then back at me with a “what is going on” look. I had to laugh because you could just see the horror on her face. I plan on taking a picture and putting it on Instagram of me in the pedicure chair. Lol! 50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERN I have good news to report on my little pooch, Beckley. I took him back to the vet to be checked since he has been taking 2 shots a day for diabetes. They said his sugar levels were perfect and that he had gained back the 2 pounds he had lost. I am so relieved!!! I really hate having to give him the shots morning and night but he doesn’t seem to mind. I will call him and show him the shot. He walks over and bows his head for me to give him the shot. I always let him smell the shot to know what it is and he never even flinches. After his shot, he can’t wait for his treat. Lucy Lu gets a treat also but since she doesn’t have to take a shot, her treat is much smaller. Joe is so tender-hearted that he won’t even think about giving him the shot. He told me that he was petrified he was going to find him dead while I was gone. The vet’s office told me today that they weren’t sure he was going to make it either that day. Poor baby must have been in a horrible shape. He is all better now that his momma is back home. Haha50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERNToday marks the last of the casual looks I have been doing this week. It has been a laid-back, comfortable, casual, wearing flats kind of week. I might get used to this type of dressing. From all the comments you gurls left, I believe a lot of you must dress this way too. I bought this top at least a year ago at Talbots. I am a sucker for a red, white, and blue color palette. I am not a fan of the stars and stripes look, but I will wear the colors together often. I try to look for a top that has a pretty or unique pattern. This pattern reminds me of a block wall we had when I was growing up. You could see through the openings but it gave you some privacy also. Did any of you have those type walls? Ours was the outside wall of a carport.

50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERN I am wearing silver jewelry today. I’ll start at the top and go down. My earrings match the necklace and they are called Linda. Do I have any Linda’s out there? You “need” these earrings, they are named after you. Haha! The are really cute and simple. The matching necklace is called Markle. Do I have any Markle’s out there? For some reason, I am doubting that I have as many of those. Plunder describes this necklace as “short and sassy.” The long necklace has one of my favorite sayings, “God is within her she will not fail.” I try to remember this verse in my everyday life. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of hearts so I would be happier to take off the heart charm. The silver ball bracelet is called Wanda. Do I have any, never mind, you know where I was going with this? Lol! This bracelet is easy on and off because it is an elastic stretch bracelet. If you would like to try any of the new jewelry then go to my party to place the order. I closed out the last party and re-opened another one. It is www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania6 If you are interested in finding out about all the wonderful advantages to being on my Plunder team just let me know. I am offering an extra piece of jewelry for all those who join Team Shimmer and Shine this month!!!
50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERN I have carried this purse for several years. It was well worth the money especially since it was free. ? This is a purse that I got for my hostess rewards from Stella and Dot. This is called The Switch and you can find it on Ebay. The navy ankle pants are pixie pants from Old Navy. I like ankle pants and I wear them even in the winter months. I will wear the pants with my knee boots and everyone just thinks they are regular pants. That helps you get more wear out of your clothing.

50 IS NOT OLD | PICK A UNIQUE PATTERN I think I have covered everything with the exception of my sneakers. These are not “real” converse sneakers, they are a pair I bought when I went to visit my sister at a little boutique. I wasn’t sure that I would like the whole “sneaker” look because I am not a tennis shoe wearing girl. But I could have the tongue monogrammed with my initials so that sold me. I didn’t get a good picture of the monogram but you can see it better in this post here. They have now got the cutest colors and prints in Converse I have ever seen.

  1. Whoops. I meant so say BECKLEY. Sorry!!!

  2. I love your bright casual look today! I am so glad to hear that Bentley is better. We’ve been going through the same routine with our little guy for 8 years now. Be cautious with the treats. Many contain sugar. We invested in a dehydrator and make chicken jerky for treats. He loves these and they are fine for his diabetes. We also make all his food. I make a large batch at a time and freeze it in mason jars. Our vet says all of this has contributed to his longevity.

    1. Thanks, Brenda. Right now his treats are boiled chicken. I have a bag in the refrigerator and I just give him a small bite. I read that treats were one of the culprits to Diabetes.

  3. Sondra Koons says:

You look wonderful, as usual! I shopped Talbots for YEARS until we retired! Ha! In fact, you could call me a ‘Talbot’s’ gurl. Now, I can’t afford them. I’m so jealous that here in OK we don’t have ANY of the overstock stores for QVC, etc. We don’t even have an Outlet Mall. One is on the way but taking forever, it seems! So glad to hear Beckley is better! Oh, and one more thing…I’m more of a casual gurl as well. We’re casual at church and everywhere else! AND…I wear flats nowadays. NO heels! Love you Tania!

    1. The thing I like about Talbots is that their clothing is classic and usually doesn’t go out of style. So even if you pay more up front you get a lot of wear from the purchase.

  4. Great outfit but no sneaker for me, would go with cute flats or wedges. However the sneaks would do nicely for travel or sightseeing but you don’t want to look like a tourist, lol! Get to the nail salon, nothing says “polished” like fabulous nails and jewelry looks so much better, that you always need more! ?

    1. I promise I am heading to the nail salon as soon as I get my Sunday post written! Lol!

  5. I just recently found your blog. I have become an avid follower. Reading your blog while drinking my morning coffee has become something I look forward to every day. I am so inspired by your fashion ideas. I bought the flowered dress you were wearing last week from purple poppy and cannot wait till it arrives. It is still cold here in the northeast so I will have to wait a few more weeks until I can wear it. Thank you for making my day a little brighter.

    1. That dress is adorable, Anne. I am going to Florida in a couple of weeks and this will be in my suitcase!

  6. So glad your fur baby is feeling better. I too am not a tennis shoe girl. I just can’t get over the bulkiness of them. I saw your cute outfit then scrolled down and saw the shoes. Just not a fan. But the top and pants look very cute.

    1. I am not a tennis shoe girl either. However, converse shoes are a “fashion statement” and not tennis shoes. Lol!

  7. Good news about Beckley! It’s such a worry when our pets are ill because they can’t tell us how they’re feeling. Great outfit, nice and easy to wear.

    1. That is so true, Caroline! I was so happy when my children finally started talking because of this.

    1. As soon as I get my post for Sunday written, I am out the door. These nails have got to be done!

  8. Yes, you have a Linda! Love your red, white and blue top. The outfit is so cute. Glad to hear your doggie is better.

    Got to go to bed!

    1. I knew I had a Linda!!! Lol!
