PINK IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COLORS

50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorI always sing Aerosmith, “Pink is my favorite color”, when I wear an outfit like this. You have to love Steven Tyler, that man looks good even today, and he is 67. Wow, he really would think 50 is not old. Hahaha Maybe that is why pink is one of my favorite colors.

Do you have a FaceBook account? I started mine years ago as a way to keep up with my grandchildren in Tennessee. That would work really well except for one thing. My son hardly ever puts pictures on Facebook. But, even though I don’t get to see those babies a lot, I do get to see a lot of relatives and friends.50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite Color

A customer was in the store today, and the conversation turned to someone we all knew that had passed away. I saw on FaceBook, is how the conversation started. Has FaceBook replaced the local newspaper for community information? It is much easier to go check out my FaceBook account, than wait on the newspaper to come out, which is only published on Wednesday.50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite Color

Another conversation in the store today was actually more like a fuss. Bertha was yelling on the radio for one of the guys on the lot. When they didn’t answer, she yelled again. Still no answer so, she yelled, “outside, outside, outside.” I told her to stop, I would go see if their radios were messed up. I was afraid the boss, was going to hear her yelling, and get mad at the boys. A few other words were exchanged, and she threatened to kick my butt! And, I told her to go ahead, I had a blog and was not afraid to use it. Hahaha. Needless to say I did not get my butt kicked. I don’t think she can kick that high. Lol!!!50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorI wanted to show these earrings up close. They were part of the Chloe & Isabel startup kit I received a couple weeks ago. I like that they have little pearls, but what I like the most, is the length. They fall to the perfect spot to show up, even through my hair, and that is not easy. Since this is such a close look, you might as well have a gander at the necklace as well. It is the Aventine Convertible necklace, this is the long look for this necklace. You can see the little bar through the ring, you can take that bar and pull it through the ring and hook it through the ring on the other side. That would make the necklace a choker for a different look. 50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorHere is a nice look at my pale pink ankle pants. They are from Old Navy, and I bought them last year. Here is a pair that is similar, and here (misses) and here (plus size) are pairs from Talbots that look about the same. In fact I bought a pair from Talbots last year, and I thought that was the pair I had on, till I looked at the tag. Here is a pair from Target that come in several colors, including a pink that is GORGEOUS! I need those pants. Haha50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorSo here is a look from the side. And, yes I am trying to suck in. Haha  At least you can see my bracelets really well. The one is the matching wrap bracelet to my necklace, and the other one is called the Retro Glam Square-Cut Crystal bracelet. I can’t believe how much this bling bracelet is growing on me. It was not something I would have picked out, but then again, what do I know.50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorThis is a look from the back. I told you I never looked at the back of my hair. I guess if I am going to do “from the back” poses, I am going to have to start fixing the back of my hair. Good grief! And I just saw my cell phone hanging out of my purse. Can’t miss that bright blue case! You will be happy to know that I finally looked in my shoes to see where they came from. I can tell you, I was shocked! They are from Maurices. I did not think I had ever bought any shoes from there. Here is a pair that is more a kelly green, and here is a pair of Merrell’s that look extremely comfortable. Please over look my nasty porch. The water hoses are still unhooked from winter. I told you I lived beside the railroad track. This is the by product:(50 Is Not Old | Pink Is My Favorite ColorI love this pretty pink print top. It is by Violet + Claire, and I have no idea when I bought this, or where. Here and here are two pretty plus size pink blouses, and here and here are two misses blouses. The cardigan I have on is a pretty dark rose color. I bought it at the QVC outlet, and it does not have a label. I don’t know if it is an Isaac Mizrahi, or maybe a Joan Rivers. Here is a similar one, but the color is a brighter color. It would actually work better for summer.

By the way, I went over to the counter, before I left, and measured how high my rear would be. Then I told Bertha to try to kick that spot. Let’s just say, my hiney is going to be safe for a while Lol!

Cute outfit, but I look forward to your stories more than anything. You don’t fail to make me laugh!

  3. Just re-read my post and half of it is missing letters, lol. Promise I only had one glass of wine this evening, lol.

  4. You are such a hoot, love it! My friend and I tease each other all the time, we get a kick out of it. We’ve known each other for 20 years, more like sisters.

  5. I’ve missed commenting on the past few outfits, but I am loving them all! Love hearing about you and Bertha, I bet it’s never a dull moment where you gurls work.

  6. You and Bertha remind me of myself and my BFF, Valerie. ROFL Unfortunately, Valerie and I don’t work together. She currently lives a little over an hour away. : (

Loving the PINK! And…it is Wednesday! ; )

  7. How’s the pup? And pink is my favorite color too.

  8. I cannot get enough of your hilarity! We have very similar body types so another style inspiration is born! None of the other blogs I have looked at use accessories like you. Keep it up. They really make an outfit sing and don’t take up as much room in my closet. Tee Hee.

  9. Kimberly Scott says:

Tania, this outfit is gorgeous!! The story of you and Bertha cracked me up! Oh, if I could be a fly on the wall in that lumberyard! lol

  10. Kim Evans says:

I love the retro square bracelet. Can it be ordered directly from the website or do I need to go through a Chloe and Isabelle dealer?

    1. You can order through the link I put on there. I am a Chloe & Isabel dealer?

  11. This is why I love spring dressing 🙂 I REALLY love those colors- especially the blue color of the shoes with your whole outfit~ and those are definitely great colors on you. The chandielier’s are super cute- I’m always leary of wearing them but I love them on other people- I guess I should just go for it and not worry. And leave my spirit animal Bertha alone- don’t you go gettin on her! HA! 😉

    1. Don’t worry Jules, she can take up for herself ?

  12. You look so fit and trim in these pictures. My Role model!

  13. Love the bright colors! And I love your hair! Wish I could get mine to do that.

  14. Love this outfit and the blue shoes with it are fun and unexpected. I just bought a really cute pair of blue flats at Kohl’s and never would have thought to put them with my pink jeans. Now I will. 😉

  17. What a cute outfit. Love the pink and it looks fantastic on you. You look fine from the back. I’ve been thinking about buying pink pants this year not sure how much I’d wear them to make the investment. So what’s the rest of the story…why didn’t the boys answer?

    1. Michele, is you are worried about the how much you would wear them, then buy a pair from Old Navy, Cato’s or maybe a Target. I never pay a high price for a trend or something I am unsure of. BTW, the boy’s radios were dead and needed a new battery.

  18. I love the pink and it is a great color for you. I was not going to buy pink pants this year but I must now!! Lol

  19. Lovely outfit, befit for Spring! Pink IS your color.

      1. It sounds like you ladies know how to make work fun! How great it is that you work with friends, and can fuss, and make the workplace a wonderful place to work. Keep on rolling! 🙂
