I keep repeating to myself…”50 is not old, 50 is not old,” but my feet are saying that they feel like they are at least ninety-two years old. I have done a ton of walking, but this year I was smart enough to come prepared. I have blister bandaids packed, and I have been wearing comfortable flat shoes. Even with all of that, my feet are swelling from the heat and the sheer amount of walking. I like looking for the silver lining and the rainbow amid rain showers, so I am grateful that this convention center is tall instead of long. I have gotten to ride a lot of escalators this year, instead of walking for miles to get to the other side of the center. It is all about perspective! Today is the last day of the convention, and tonight I will be getting all dressed up for a gala event. I have a long gown to wear to the gala, and I hope to get a picture before the night is over. We have dinner reservations for after the party, but they are not until 10:00 pm. I will be dragging my tracks, but I am sure that I will be having a blast. Lol! When we were young, it didn’t matter how tired you were; you just wanted to have fun. I am trying to recapture some of my youth by reminding myself that life is short; we need to remember to smell the roses whenever we can. Here is another outfit from the capsule wardrobe. This outfit is about as simple and easy as it gets. I am wearing a beautiful bright blue swing dress that I bought from Old Navy. This dress is the short sleeve version, but they are available in sleeveless and long sleeves also. I find the swing dress flattering, but if you are bigger chested, you might not like this style. My daughter thinks that the swing dress looks like a tent on her, but I like this style because it hides my tummy. You need to try on all kinds of styles to find out what works best for your body type. I am wearing a large in this dress, and it has plenty of room. Here is the link to the swing dresses. My fawn-colored booties are also from Old Navy. These are a pair that I have had for a couple of years, and I still find myself reaching for them over and over again. They are comfortable as well as stylish, and that is two of my must-haves when it comes to shoes. These are on sale for 30.00, so be sure to grab a pair for yourself while you can. I am wearing my usual size, so they run true to size. Here is the link to the booties. Oh my goodness, I just realized that my denim jacket is from Old Navy also. I am going to have to make sure that I tag them on Instagram. Head to toe look by Old Navy!!! My jacket is what I call a medium color; it is not too light and not too dark. I love a cute jean jacket, it goes with almost anything, and you can wear them all year around. Here is the link for the medium colored jacket, and hereis the link for the dark version.

You are YOUNG! You also look wonderful!!!!! Yes, we do need to remind ourselves (myself especially) that we are only here for a short period of time! ENJOY! You are the best! And so inspiring to me!!!
Tania, I feel for you! I was in direct sales for almost 20 years and used to go to the conventions every year. Loved them! Still miss them, they were so fun! But, I was in my 20’s and 30’s, now in my 50’s. Don’t think I could do that now because of foot problems. But, one thing I can tell you is you really need to wear better shoes when doing those conventions. Flats do not and will not cut it! I know you are trying to be fashionable, but, maybe, you can look for fashionable shoes with support. I cringe now thinking of all those conventions I went to wearing “fashionable” shoes, no support, lots of walking. Probably why I have foot problems now! Lol Then again, most of us are not used to all that walking because we don’t walk much on a regular basis. Anyway, glad you had fun and hope this helps for your next convention.
Where’s the bag? LoL I love old navy classic shirts. They are light weight and simple in style. I might own those boots if they have them in my size. I need some boots that are lighter in color. Most of mine are black, brown or tan. Love this color.
Watch out for all my fun LSU fans in Nashville! Go ?! I had both the medium and dark denim jackets in my cart yesterday and forgot to finish the sale and now they aren’t $15 anymore! Sad day for me!
Great outfit, great taste, Tania. I own every one of these ON pieces – dress, jacket, booties and the Plunder necklace! I love how you’ve put them together. Hmmm, what should I wear tomorrow? Hmmm, let me think… Thanks for basically setting out my clothes for me. Hahaha.
Enjoy your convention.
Where did the necklace come from? That’s what I want…
