You know I am here to tell you all about trends. Remember Coastal Grandmother and the Grandfather Sweater trends? You have to stay up on these things, Gurls! Today, I’m sharing about roses on clothing – the trend you need to know! It’s feminine, flirty and floral! Just how I like it!

I try to present all trends so that you can decide whether it is for you or not. Roses aren’t my favorite on clothing, so it took me a while to find some I liked. Maybe it’s because of the thorns I associate with roses, but something about this floral isn’t my favorite.

I do love these jeans! They fit amazingly, and I love the wide hem and the legs, which are flowy. But, I’m not a fan of the whisker distressing. I wondered if it would fade when washed, but I’ve decided to send them back. I think I’ll reorder them in a different color to see if the distressing will still show up as much. I’m trying the dark wash, and I’ll let you know.

With all that said, I do like this lantern sleeve blouse. It is bright and colorful and brightens up my entire face. The blouse looks like a button-up; however, it is a V-neck with a flap instead. So, there are no buttons to fiddle with, and I love the smocked cuffs.

Roses On Clothing – Skirts

Isn’t this pretty? This skirt comes in a flattering midi length ( my fave!) with a convenient pull-on style, so putting it on is a breeze! It comes fully lined and is made from 100% polyester, meaning you can throw it in the machine to wash. This would be beautiful for any summer event, or put on a pair of flat sandals and a cotton top and head out on vacation.

Who can resist roses in bloom? This chiffon midi skirt comes in a bunch of fun floral prints, from soft Beige Pink-floral to a bold Wine Red-floral. It’s got a high waist with a great ruffled high-low hem. A hidden zipper that keeps things looking smooth. The elastic back keeps things comfortable, and the light; flowy fabric suits almost anything. At around $30, it’s a great deal for a skirt that you can throw on and look put-together in no time!

Roses On Clothing – Tops

Okay, this is a little pricey (or a LOT pricey), but it’s from Nordstrom and 100% silk. Priced at $340, it’s going to feel like LUXURY. The shirt has a very romantic vibe and the floral print looks like a piece of art. This is something to buy and wear for a long time. Where are my romantic gurls?

And now, for something a bit less costly, check out this cute tee! It comes in a range of colors, from classic black to vibrant yellow. Priced under $20 dollars, this tee is made from a soft blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, making it cozy and stretchy. The loose, boyfriend-style fit and cute rose graphic on the chest gives it a cool, casual vibe. It’s perfect for throwing on with jeans, shorts, or leggings, and you can easily dress it up with a jacket or cardigan when it gets chilly.

I’ve said it before, but I’m a fan of Kut from the Kloth clothing. I always pick up something at the Nordstrom sale. This shirt is a breezy, lightweight piece that’s perfect for jazzing up your look. It has adjustable sleeves that you can wear long or rolled up for a more casual look. This cool ‘Segovia Black/ Pink’ pattern really pops, but there are others. It’s a great pick if you want something that’s both stylish and comfy. And with free shipping and returns, you can try it out risk-free

Roses On Clothing – Dresses

Wouldn’t this be pretty at a summer wedding?! This dress combines elegance with a playful touch. It features shimmery details that add a bit of sparkle to the floral pattern, flowy balloon sleeves, and an asymmetric hem that gives it a unique flair. The soft rose color makes it a great pick for any occasion you want to look special. Pair it with some neutral sandals!

Ready to add a splash of boho charm to your wardrobe? This fun and flirty piece is priced under $50 dollars. It features a vibrant floral print in several color options, like Big Floral Black Red and Floral Black Yellow. The dress has a stylish high-low ruffle hem that I love and a flattering belted empire waist that’s flattering on a lot of women. It’s made from 100% polyester, so it’s light and breezy for those hot summer days, and you can just pull it on and go—no fuss with zippers or buttons.

Roses On Clothing – Accessories

Accessories are a great way to incorporate a trend without spending a ton of money. This lightweight scarf is rated at 4.7 stars with over 4,379 reviews, and it’s under $20. I love the rose design, but there are a ton of others available. Plus, it’s made from bamboo, so you know it’s going to feel GREAT!

Finally, isn’t this beautiful? I love the pop of color with the black and white. The strap is adjustable, or you can take it off altogether. The gold accents elevate it even further! Plus, it’s a very reasonable $30. So nice! Oh, and there are other versions, from the pretty to the pretty strange. Shop away!

So, are you ready to embrace the roses trend, or is this too “thorny” for you? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m glad to learn about the trend with roses on clothing. I actually ordered two cotton blend shirts with rose themes on them before I even realized roses are “in” this season. They are feminine and pretty. Thanks for styling some of them for us!

  5. Mary Carol says:

I really like the first floral blouse you’re modeling and the rose t- shirt. That rose purse is too cool. Love all the options.

  6. Hi Tania
I love roses on jeans. I have a pair of vintage International Concept jeans with a rose on them. It is one of my favorite pair of jeans. I really like those dresses you posted as well, and looks really cute for summer.

  7. I’m not a roses fan, a bit girly for me personally but love the bright spring/summer colours! After a cold winter I love to see the colourful clothing coming out! Another blogger I follow is just showing neutrals not flowers/patterns but I find that’s too boring for me! Love your posts showing us there’s more than just neutral clothes out there!

  8. Janus Emory says:

Hi Tania. I love printed tees and the purse looks fabulous. Ordered both with a pink rose, My best color. Thank you again for what you do. Janus

  10. Jacque Abell says:

Not a fan. I will pass.

  11. Tania, I love the blouse you show in the first picture. I went on Amazon to check it out but a review for the small said it was too much fabric. I sure love though! May order it anyway! 🙂
    Blessings,

  13. Clarice M says:

I appreciate how you share a variety of price points in your posts!

  14. I probably would like roses print on a blouse but not a skirt or dress. Florals can get dated so fast I don’t want to invest in them.

  15. I absolutely LOVE the first outfit! I’m a little shorter so I’m not sure the jeans would look as good on me as they do on you. And LOVE the red and black dress…I can get behind the “rose” trend 😉 Thanks for sharing!

  16. Makes me think of “Roses are red, violets are blue”!!

  17. I love your eyes in the picture, very mischievous looking! Just love it! I love that you are a fun gal and you take us down your fun road all the time. I like a couple of the blouses.

  18. I prefer roses in the garden or a vase🤣

  19. Even though I live in the Run For the Roses city and we are all preparing for the Derby I’m not sure I’m a fan of roses on clothing. Thanks for sharing though 🌹

  20. Lisa Mary Luciano says:

This outfit looks extraordinary on you. I love roses (despite the fact that I kill them when they live in my garden.) Roses on clothing will be easier to take care of.

  21. I apparently love roses on clothes. I have a lot of them. You have shared some very pretty options today. Especially the yellow blouse.

  22. These are cute choices!! I really like the ruffled skirt and the silk blouse one! Too cute 🙂

  26. Cory Mosley says:

Thank you for showing these pieces. The blouses are beautiful.
I’m seeing a lot of floral prints for girls, teens, young women, and mature women. It’s nice to know we’re ALL stylish!

  27. The lantern sleeve top is so pretty- looks like a watercolor.
I like roses on clothing as long as they are small and subtle.

  28. Can you say vintage? I remember wearing floral clothing many years ago. Love the roses but in a smaller pattern.

  29. Just ordered the tee shirt

  30. I have that purse. I had it for a couple of years now. And I got so many compliments.

  31. Stella Gustafson says:

I must admit I am not a fan of roses either. But I do have one skirt that is black with pink big roses on it. I bought it for a photo shoot with my Goddaughter before her homecoming dance she had on a beautiful pink dress and the roses were the same color. It has hung on the closet door since. But I do have a High Tea dress event with the hats and gloves so I will probably where it then. I do like the wide leg jeans (bell bottoms)

    1. Stella, it is time to get that skirt and wear it again!

  32. I don’t know how you get up, work a little and go back to bed. Once I am awake, I am awake. I have always associated floral with OLD LADIES…..I am trying not to look like one now. Ha! I like the first blouse, but the skirts, not so much!

  33. Carole from Canada says:

Love the rose graphic tee and the purse with the big rose.

  34. helen heffernan says:

Perfect timing since the “running for the roses”–Kentucky Derby is this weekend!

    1. Dang! I forgot about that!

  35. Laurie Oliver says:

I love looking at your posts every morning. I love roses, so this was fun!!!

  36. Love roses! Love the lantern sleeve top!

  37. Ah, sweet roses. They can be tricky for me, but I love the styles you’ve shared, and I really love that tee for summer! 🌹

  38. Karen Combs says:

I’m 66 and on a fixed income. I loved the wide leg jeans but at $108 I can’t begin to spend that much on a pair of jeans. Could you please give less expensive pieces for those of us on fixed incomes? Thank you

    1. Karen, I style LOTS of affordable clothing. But, I try to style items for everyone, so that includes sharing higher priced items also. I have a Walmart post coming up soon, I had an Amazon post yesterday, and I’ve recently done a post for Kohl’s. All of those are affordable retailers.

  39. The rose purse is stunning!

  40. Dorothy Kennedy says:

Love the lantern sleeve blouse. So pretty and looks gorgeous on you!
